Just a quick fix on some issues, nothing major.

Fixed: A issue with dropdown items only showing 1 instance if you added more that one to a tab (Lite)
Fixed: A issue with images not showing up on dropdown items if you did not have a image for the dropdown tab (Pro)

Can you om me a admin account so I can take a look at it?

Chris

DragonByte Tech 02-25-2012 08:11 PM

Sorted, it was not showing up due to the fact the tab you had associated the sublink with you did not enter nothing in the, SET the THIS_SCRIPT value field.

Chris

deverill2010 02-25-2012 08:26 PM

Doh! Thank you :)

DragonByte Tech 02-25-2012 09:26 PM

Not a problem, it happens to the best of us. :)

odln018 02-27-2012 01:43 AM

I'm killing myself trying to do the following:

I've got a tab called "admin". I would like to be able to click on this tab, which is then highlighted.

I would then like to have sublinks as follows:

PHPInfo
PHP My Admin
etc

I cannot seem to get the sublinks to show.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

DragonByte Tech 02-27-2012 01:56 AM

I don't think that is possible, due to the fact that that the tab "admin" not having a this script value. The best option would be to make a dropdown tab called admin and then add the rest as dropdowns for that tab.

Chris

odln018 02-27-2012 01:07 PM

Drat. OK, thanks

Chris - One last question.

I stumbled on the attached screenshot. How is this done?

DragonByte Tech 02-28-2012 11:19 PM

Create a tab that is linked to a page, making sure to set the, "SET the THIS_SCRIPT value" correctly in order for the tab to highlight.

Then go to Manage Sub-links and add a new sublink associating it with that tab.

Chris

odln018 03-01-2012 07:46 PM

Ok, what page would I set it to?

This is the thing that's always messed me up about the tab system. Is it just a "placeholder" page, or what.

DragonByte Tech 03-01-2012 09:40 PM

What is the page you are trying to go to? What is the value you are entering in "URL To Tab"

Chris

odln018 03-02-2012 03:21 AM

That's just it, I'm not trying to go to a specific, separate page. Just click on the Admin tab, which then highlights, and presents sublinks to various admin tools.

DragonByte Tech 03-02-2012 11:42 AM

Unfortunately that is not possible, with this mod or any other tab mod that I know of.

Chris

odln018 03-02-2012 01:34 PM

Ok, so what page does the "sublink tab" in this screenshot reference?

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1330353812

DragonByte Tech 03-02-2012 04:39 PM

Thar was just a name I gave the tab, and it linked to the memberlist.

Chris

Gholsie 03-08-2012 02:46 AM

Hi guys, how can I reduce the font size, remove the bold, and narrow the spacing of the tabs?

DragonByte Tech 03-08-2012 02:54 AM

All that should be controlled by vb, any tabs you create with the mod should look the same as the default tabs. Post a screenshot if you are seeing something different.

Chris

Gholsie 03-08-2012 03:12 AM

Thanks Chris. I found it under the Style Variable editor under navbar_tab_font and navbar_tab_size . Just had to look close enough. Thanks for the quick reply!

DragonByte Tech 03-08-2012 03:15 AM

Not a problem, if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Chris

odln018 03-08-2012 04:18 PM

Chris -
Where is the color of the text for the drop downs controlled?

Thank you!

DragonByte Tech 03-08-2012 04:57 PM

That is controlled by the stylevar, popupmenu_link_color under the PopupMenus group.

Chris

odln018 03-08-2012 06:15 PM

Thank you very much!

DragonByte Tech 03-08-2012 09:24 PM

No problem, glad to help. :)

You're probably getting tired of seeing my handle, aren't you?

:)

OK, is there a way to adjust the width of a drop down?

See attached screenshot.

DragonByte Tech 03-09-2012 10:23 AM

Nah it's cool, edit the stylevar vbnavtabs_popup_width under the group DragonByteTechMods

Hello, first off let me say that this mod does look very good and would be great for a site that I am doing. Being new to the vB environment I have a question about this before purchasing if the owner agrees. I was looking at the links from your website and like the look and feel of the setup they are using here : http://www.personalitynation.com/ and one of the others was similar but had pictures inside of it. My question is would that be something that is doable right out of the box so to speak with this mod or did they also require any other mods or customized work to get it to look something similar to that? I imagine the free version here is just your basic dropdowns that vB does not supply?

Cheers,
BriShi

DragonByte Tech 03-12-2012 07:08 AM

Yes the pro version does allow you to add icons to the tabs, dropdown items and the sublinks created with this mod. As far as the link you posted, the navbar is not moveable to the top of the header it is in the default location.

Thanks Chris, the other thing I just noticed when I downloaded the lite version just to try on my test site is the instructions state to upload all the files from the "upload" folder to the forums directory. Just so I am clear on this we take just the files themselves or the folders that they are already in inside of the "upload" folder, because there is already an admincp folder in the directory. Sorry if that sounds dumb but I just want to be clear.

So the pro version menu could look like the SDN site that you have listed on your website straight out of the box? http://studentdoctor.net/

DragonByte Tech 03-12-2012 10:50 AM

You can do the folders as it will only add the files contained in those folders into the existing folders, or write the entire folder if it don't exist.

No that site has a navbar set up different, probably hard coded with css, the navbar will look more like the one on the DBT site, which you of course can add the images to.

Thanks again Chris, I just got the lite installed for now and am going to test it out a little bit and show the website owner and will go from there.

Sorry for bugging you again, but any progress on the 2nd level navigation?

lewisforlife 03-13-2012 04:08 PM

Hello, I just installed your product. I have used it to create a "Videos" tab that links to "video.php".

Now, what do I do to create "video.php" that uses the same template as the rest of my VBulletin CMS website?

For example, I know I could just upload a "video.php" file, but it would not be in my VBulletin template, so what do I do to create a page that is enclosed in my template? I'm sure this is super easy, I just don't know the procedure.

Thanks,

David

Not as of yet, that may come in a future update though.

Chris

Thanks DragonByte Tech. I tried https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...highlight=easy. The only issue I am having now is that the tab that I made with vBNavTabs is not getting highlighted when the tab is clicked on like the other tabs. Is there a way to make it stay highlighted after it is clicked on?

Just to clarify, the URL that I am linking to is pages.php?pageid=3. I used URL_PARAMETER for Tab Mode, and THIS_SCRIPT_VALUE is blank right now, do I need to fill something in that field?

Thanks.
