I cant seem to get the image to only stay on the home page. Is there a way to add a X box to the image to give members an option to close it.

Sure, simply add another div, something like:

div.forcetoregister2 {
background:url(images/misc/register.png);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
width:300px;
height:200px;
padding:0 5px 3px;

}

And the code in the header template would look something like this:

Hi there. First of all i'd like to say thanks.
The site is based on a "vbskin.net" theme - changes are done by me. (pretty much CSS stuff)

What vbulletin version are you using?
There was another guy that replied with an "obsolete" additional.css - worked fine for him.

Do you get any errors when trying to add the code to additional.css?

Ok, this is a great mod, and I can get it to work on a default template but not my normal (skinned) ones. Since I got it to work on the default, I'm not sure where I'm going wrong in the other.

**Update - I got this to work by simply adding the CSS code to the top of the additional.css template instead of at the end. Then it worked like a charm! Great Mod!

I used the motorcycle image posted earlier with an alteration to the text. Feel free to use it.

Just as the person I quoted above, I would really like to know that as well. The best thing would be if I could in some way point it to a folder/directory and all the images I put in to it will be randomly used for each time the page is loaded.

Ran into a problem with the mod using it with the CSS Sprite mod so I figured out another way using the Advertisement banners system to still get it working.

The reason why i placed it in the corner is, that it stays there until registration without covering up the main content.
So a "close button" doesn't make sense for me, since the character doesn't bother the content at all.
