Alex@bulletin 10-08-2011 01:32 PM

hey. i don't know why but version 1.0.4. works now on my site.
good job fillip.!
at least in firefox. but it seems not to work using internet explorer. in opera it works too.

But i see one issue in this feature: As Moderator you may sometimes not realize that a new posting has been released.
maybe there should be added a feature that a mod can see all postings that have been written while the mod was in a special thread?!

Fillip

Cleared cache, tried on IE and Chrome, still happens if a quick reply is made right after an AJAX post.

DragonByte Tech 10-09-2011 11:52 AM

Then I'm sadly unable to replicate this issue :(

Still getting double posts.

Say I load a thread up, someone replies, it shows up as one post, once I do a reply in quick reply, my post is last but the earlier post (which was posted as I was looking at the threas) is duplicated, excellent mod though, thanks

DragonByte Tech 10-09-2011 09:02 PM

Ensure you've cleared any cache (browser, server systems like vB Optimise) because this does not happen on the latest version, and there's plenty of posts a day I've tested this with on DBTech.

Fillip

Ok cheers i'll try, I am running memcached on the server, but its a managed VPS, might have to ask site5 to clear the cache, I guess it will eventually renew with the updated plugin.

DragonByte Tech 10-09-2011 09:39 PM

You appear to have set AJAX Threads to refresh every second. Please adjust that to a higher number as that may be the cause of this problem. As pointed out in the setting, setting it too low will cause problems (slowdown) with the server as well.

The same goes for your "top 10 threads" mod that also updates every second.

In addition, I tested it on your forum (Belazor and Belazor2 respectively) and I was unable to replicate your issue.

Fillip

mcyates 10-09-2011 09:46 PM

Ok thank you very much for trying this out. I have changed the setting to 5 seconds and the latest threads to 10 seconds again.

mcyates 10-09-2011 09:59 PM

Cleared my cache and it works fine.

I though I set CCleaner to clean my "chrome" cache but I dadn't!!

thanks again, great mod :D

FReeSTER 10-17-2011 04:42 AM

Im getting this error

Fatal error: Class 'AJAXTHREADS' not found in /home/mfn/public_html/forums/dbtech/ajaxthreads/actions/admin/forum.php on line 21

DragonByte Tech 10-17-2011 05:02 AM

Are you attempting to access that file directly (or has someone else done so)? Because the mod works fine, but direct access of those files is not intended.

Fillip

Nope, I havent touch that file or neither dont know where it is :o:(

DragonByte Tech 10-17-2011 05:32 AM

I'm sure you do know where it is, since its location was printed in the above error message :)

Does this happen on every AJAX Threads page in the admincp?

Fillip

No I only get this on your Mod mate:(
I get that error on the Forum Manager Tab of the Mod settings

and so far is not doing any changes on the forum

DragonByte Tech 10-17-2011 05:53 AM

So do you get the error on any other AJAX Threads page in the admincp?

no not at all mate:o

DragonByte Tech 10-17-2011 03:46 PM

If it's only happening on the "Forum Manager" page of AJAX Threads then it's not a problem with the mod, so there's nothing I can do I'm afraid :(

Thank you
Installed vb 4.17
Nominated

how to remove the ad at the bottom of the forum dragonbyte ?

Bye

techanalyst 10-18-2011 11:52 PM

Installed and working awesome, I remember being on a forum that used something like this.

Next id like to see them add forums not just threads :)

sticky 11-07-2011 11:48 AM

Just wanted to say this has been working great, glad to see someone come through on a stable version.

FReeSTER 11-13-2011 01:14 PM

too bad this is not working for me. I cant even find any options in the forum. I have no clue how to get this to work as I have done the UG settings and the Mod options.:(

vb verswion 4.1.7PL1

DragonByte Tech 11-13-2011 01:46 PM

The options are in vBulletin Options, and you should see the bars on your showthread (when on the last page of a thread that's not closed) assuming you have not turned off the bar in the options.

The mod then silently works in the background :)

Fillip

FReeSTER 11-13-2011 04:29 PM

Nope, thank you for responding Fillip but still not showing up and everything is set correctly on admincp options

addamroy 11-14-2011 05:22 AM

Are we allowed to remove the copyright? Placing sitewide links in the footer of my forum is out of the question so if you can clarify whether or not it's OK for me to remove your link backs that would be great.

Also, where do we get the pro version?

We have a Branding Free licence on our site for that :)

www.dragonbyte-tech.com - vb.org rules prevent me from direct linking but it should be easy to find from there :)

Installed and working fine on all styles however if I load the forum in safari on the iPhone the entire page reloads every X seconds as AJAX doesn't seem to work. It renders the site unreadable.

Checked it with FF, Opera and IE using a PC and it's all good.
Great job on this mod dragons!

DragonByte Tech 11-17-2011 03:11 PM

I am unable to confirm this issue on Safari on iOS 5.0.1 :(

Fillip

DragonByte Tech 11-19-2011 01:12 AM

AJAX Threads v1.1.0:
Feature: "Live" image on forumdisplay for threads that have automatic or manual updates enabled
Feature: Posts fetched by AJAX Threads are now marked as read
Feature: It is now possible to set per-usergroup "duration" before a thread goes "idle"

Fillip

Andyrew 11-19-2011 08:13 AM

Don't see the point in the Live graphic showing on every thread on the forum, any way to disable this.

DragonByte Tech 11-19-2011 11:02 AM

Disable the threadbit_display plugin for this product :)

Mukashi 11-20-2011 07:11 AM

Has the latest update removed the Hivelocity Hosting link in the footer as discussed here?

DragonByte Tech 11-20-2011 08:44 AM

Not yet, no :(
(Just to clarify, that post doesn't detail that we would remove the Hivel link, it details a setting to hide it.)

Fillip

DragonByte Tech 11-20-2011 01:36 PM

AJAX Threads v1.1.1:
Fix: Using "Newest First" post order had multiple deep-rooted issues
Fix: Posts deleted when hitting the "max posts" setting should now behave more consistently
Change: (Lite) There is now an option to disable the HiVelocity Hosting link if you do not wish to support DragonByte Tech by having it displayed.
