Hmm, that is weird, can you show me a screenshot of your profile fields in the admincp please mate. I think the numbers may be mixed up as your tumblr icon is linking to your facebook :S

I have simular issue. Looks like the links on the buttons are using the forum URL instead of the appropriate Social Website.

I had the same issue at first, i put my Twitter profile, and it just linked to http://mydomain/TWITTERPROFILEVALUE

What you have to do is, instead of simply typing your twitter profile, facbeook profile, or any other profile, you have to actually enter the entire URL

Wrong Example >>> Twitter Profile: BB_Matrix
Result, takes me to a wrong page on my domain that doesn't exist

Right Example >>> Twitter Profile: http://twitter.com/BB_Matrix
Takes me to my twitter profile

Like how can we make that profile for Twitter,FB, ETC, automatically insert the Twitter/FB/Etc. URL and then take the value from the profile field to construct the correct URL?

If you look at the screen shots, this is how I have it set currently. Complete urls.

The only other thing I can think of is that there is an error in the profile fields that you have,

double check that please, go to the profile manager, and note down the numbers for example, see which field it says next to Twitter

If it says Field 11 (for example) then ensure that field 11 is the value set for Twitter

Dude, you need to enter the Field# not the display order

so for Twitter, the value should be 19, Facecbook = 20, Google + =21 and so forth

2) I don't know why is the 4th icon displaying on a new line of its own, How can I have all the icons on the same row or at least 4 on each row rather than 3? I see it unnecessary to go on a new line as that just makes the postbit enormous for no reason really it could easily fit 1 or 2 more icons

#2, I think thats the location of the YouTube Icon. I only have 3 icons on my page and the youtube one did what yours did. So I have Twitter, Facebook on one line, then YouTube on the 2nd.

Might want to see if theres a way to just have a wrap around and not have assigned locations?

I can confirm this is happening to me too. Some where in the code, the icons must be set to display in a certain order. I have twitter and facebook on the top line, and youtube on the bottom line.

However, I agree with everyone, that hopefully there is a way to have them all in 1 line, except when necessary to have 2 lines.

I followed the steps exactly and even double checked each step to make sure I did it right. I also made sure I was putting the field number and not the display number (which they are the same) and it doesnt work. Nothing shows up on the forum at all, even in the members profile.

Take screenshots like the above user did of your Profile Manager and of the [Boyd] options maybe we can help you

With regards to the line break, go into your templates - postbit_social1 - find <br /> and remove it, save and that's you.

It's stupid, i should never have used a line break as not everyone was going to use all of the options. So in the update i have implemented a wrapper.

I can confirm that removing the <br /> from the postbit_social1 template file, allows the icons to stay on 1 line (depending on how many your using of course.

I did the XML file on post 32, but you still have to enter the full URL, at least for me.

I uninstalled it then reinstalled it using the XML in post 32


Then I changed my profile Twitter field from the full URL which was http://twitter.com/BB_Matrix to >>> only >> BB_Matrix

But when I click on the link now after I refresh the page in one of the threads, this is where it takes me to:

http://http//www.twitter.com/BB_Matrix


Same thing happens with Facebook

it is adding an extra http// I don't know why

Google + works fine though

I fixed it myself

you have to go to the postbit_social1

then look for Twitter

then look for where you see the URL

and remove the extra http

same thing for Facebook

then save and reload :)

now I can enter the usernames only :)

Yeh, few bugs appearing now, which is good as 2.0 is going to be a pretty big release as a lot of the code structure has changed and there are a lot of bug fixes and new features. ETA at the moment is this coming weekend, although that may change to less or more, just depends on my free time!

I am using 4.1.9 and just uploaded it. It works good except for Twitter.

The link on the twitter button has added my website URL infront of the Twitter URL

like this..

Everything else works ok except for this one button..

It seems that if you don't start with http:// it will do that.

Actually it had something to do with the profile field, I searched and searched last night and out of a whim I created a new profile field for twitter and deleted the old one. Worked fine after that.

It is now running great on 4.1.9

Instruct your members to add their member profile to "Other Profiles" on their Google+ account.

Hello, unfortunately I had to see this mod is not supported anymore :(.

I updated my test forum from vB 4.1.9 to 4.1.10. Before the update everything was working like I wanted (screenshot 419).

However after the update the position in postbit_legacy is now like in screenshot 4110.

I would like to have it back like it was before but I don't get it. Can anybody help me and tell me how to get it back into the position right above the IM icons and below the blog bit again?
