Always clear your CMS cache after changing a setting. In the latest version, I think it is placed somewhere in the maintenance menu. :)

I uninstalled this because of the footer, and uninstalling does not remove the copyright from the footer - how irritating

If the add-on was properly uninstalled then the text will go away immediately. If it is still showing, it means you have another one of our add-ons installed and have not removed it, or you performed the removal incorrectly.

Just look in the folder what en where the things are be uploaded.
Than remove all that, in the plugin manager delete the three things.

It was a good design mod, till there was a advertising footer on my site.
If i want to make advertising i go to adsense. ;)

Its stupid to have 12 mods and 12 times a advertising footer below.

MoreLinux 05-28-2012 11:00 AM

@iyama, I 100% agree. I know the developers needs to eat to, but all the mods adding an ad to the footer is stupid.

No matter how many add-ons of ours you have installed, there is a maximum of one copyright line total. On the right of the copyright text is the number of our add-ons installed, and this simply increments when you install another one instead of adding a new line.

There was 1 mod what makes 3 lines in the footer. So your story is not treu.
That mod was also dumped. :p

I was always thinking that this was a free site with developers who created free mods with out paying or advertising.
And if a person needs a pro version he give the man a pm, pays and got his pro version. :D

Is that the reason that there are more sites with nulled mods?

It's certainly not one of our mods. :O

You understand what i mean, or not?

btw i see a nulled version of this mod on other sites.
So maybe its better for users to drop the advertising or mods wil be re-created. ;)

It appears I don't.

New Joe 06-05-2012 03:45 PM

Really strange thing going on.
It keeps disabling itself from the side block, i will set it as active, then 5 mins later it's no londer active.
I activate it again in the side block manager, and then again, it disables itself.

Any ideas?

Figuring out how to do the same with Facebooks stuff, another story. Have pm'd clutchthese on what he did

That did the trick for my problem, thanks.

LFH, there is a bug where is disables the side block in vB 4.1.12

Killer Squirrel 06-12-2012 11:21 PM

The actually Twitter Profile Widget is MUCH easier to use!

They give you the HTML code and you can put it in the Forum Scroll Bar or create youre own CMS Widget faster than you can install this. Plus theirs is from Titter so you dont have some other baffle to worry about.

I would suggest you stay away from this addon and you just create your own. If you want to learn how send me a PM and Ill give you pretty easy to follow instructions!

Nobody else has reported this -- be sure to check what other add-ons you have installed

This is actually easier to use -- if you want to make a change to the display of the block (e.g. colors), you just go into the AdminCP and change it instead of having to delete and paste your new html over and over.

1.9 has been released! Two big changes --

1. The copyright notice has been removed from this add-on.
2. Support is provided to free subscribers of vbresults.com exclusively.

Great mod...installed and nominated.

Thanks! :)

VIPER-MAN 12-14-2012 01:06 AM

I installed this but was only to get it to show a user's tweet timeline...

How do you get it to perform a "search" instead of just showing a user? This is one of the available options for Twitter widgets ... show a user, search a hasttag, or favorites?

moustafa 12-17-2012 01:42 AM

Where is the follow box that shows the current followers that you have?

Mark4865 12-30-2012 11:27 AM

Just installed in my test site on 4.2 as with all of LancerForHire's mod's simple to upload, great instructions, great mod

Thanks as always

Mark4865 12-30-2012 11:49 AM

Is there any way to shrink the width of the widget on the forum home page as I don't want the little page scroll arrow on the side of the widget. I would rather have a thinner and longer widget in forum home. Seems fine on home page and I tried to adjust sizes in admin cp which didnt change anything

If changing the mod options at the bottom changed nothing then the cache needs to be cleared; in 4.2, I believe this function is in the Maintenance menu of the AdminCP.

These features aren't implemented yet

Mark4865 12-31-2012 06:35 AM

thanks for advice as always LancerForHire, great support and quick feedback

on the forums home page I still have an issue with the size of the sidebar blocks but I am sure this is a VB thing and not related to your mod.

There is a scroll tab on the side and it would be nice if the side blocks were narrower to avoid this, I will check with VB for a fix for this

CMerritt 01-01-2013 06:32 AM

I have installed as a forum block. Everything worked well with set up, except the sidebar and avatars aren't showing, even though I have them selected as yes. I've cleared system cache each time I've made any changes.

Sidenote from a twitter novice -- I thought installing this would show my "feed." In other words, it would include people I'm following and not just my own tweets/retweets. Did I misunderstand? Does this mean I have to RT anything I want to be shown on the feed.

Thanks!

The Twitter Widget for vBulletin 4.x is back!

Twitter Widget 2.0
  • Added support for faves, user list, and search widgets.
  • Extended Databases dependency removed; this is now packed into 1 Xml.
  • Clearing cache after changing a setting is no longer required; this is done automatically.
  • Complete core rewrite.
  • Post-install cross-plugin download implementation.

This is something twitter hard-codes; I don't believe you can edit it.

You should no longer have the first problem; on the second, I'm not sure -- we don't have control over this, regardless of what the answer to the question is -- twitter does.

Announcement: How to Support This Plugin Free

If you want to support this plugin and do not have the means to purchase a premium version from us, you can follow the steps below. These steps show you how to set up a special signature that links to our other plugin, "Spammers Suck!" and counts the number of views and clicks it gets. Your username, views and clicks then show on the leaderboard below.
  1. Paste the code below into the "Your Signature" box:
    Code:

    [CENTER][URL="http://services.vbresults.com/signatures/click/YOUR_USERNAME_HERE"][SIGPIC][/SIGPIC][/URL][/CENTER]
    * Note: This link simply redirects to this topic. It passes through our site so we can count your views and clicks, then display them on the leaderboard. If you wish to remain anonymous, don't change the URL.
  2. Right click this image link and "Save As" on your PC somewhere easy to locate later. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page. Under "Signature Picture", locate "Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer", click "Browse", and select the image you got earlier in this step.
  3. "Save Signature".
    * Note: Your views increment only with your clicks on vBulletin.org. If on another forum you want to directly link to the banner and increment views independently, use this image url.
    * Note: Replace YOUR_USERNAME_HERE with your vBulletin.org username. If you wish to remain anonymous, don't change the URL.

Seems to have stopped working overnight on my page. Has this happened to anyone else? Any way to fix it?

I believe twitter changed something as my feeds stopped as well and I was not using this plugin. It appears as if you have to create a widget through twitter now. In the past I would use a twitter widget but I could change the username to a variable pulled from my site.

BGObsession 06-16-2013 08:23 PM

Yeah - I just installed and it's not working for me....Unfortunately, the Twitter widget has minimum widths of 170 (which makes it too big for my side widget space) and a max width of 500 (which makes it too narrow to fit my center widget space well). Not sure why they felt the need to put size limitations on it - stupid.

vbresults 06-16-2013 08:57 PM

Here's the skinny on the widget problem.

goycarden 07-22-2013 08:07 AM

I can't removed it. It appears an error message while doing that.
