Internetcafe 01-27-2011 10:47 PM

Guess this 'aint gonna make me rich !?

EDIT

24hrs later 340 Solved TYPE-INs = $17

WTF .. isn't it supposed to get better not worse ?

GamerPerfection 02-06-2011 08:33 AM

As I promised i'd give an update.

Solved Type-Ins = 17
eCPM = $0.89
Revenue = $0.09
Impressions = 101

Roll on $200.........

fusionpot 02-06-2011 12:16 PM

Did you check to see if that was two different stats for different time periods? It sounds like you made $19 for 392 and then $17 for 340. That seems like it stayed the same to me. And isn't it $200?

Your both doing better than me. But then, I should probably advertise my site more. It's not really going to pay out fast for people only doing around one hundred impressions a week. But, hey, it's still free.

OldSchoolDSL 02-06-2011 02:37 PM

Anyone know what the difference between eCPM & Revenue?

My eCPM is good... My Revenue is pathetic

final kaoss 02-06-2011 03:29 PM

How did you wind up with $17 from 340 solved type ins?

From 102 solved, I wound up with 49 cents..

I need to advertise my site more too. But the fact that it earns you something with little to no effort is pretty good. I just need more people coming to my site. :D

Been away for a while and was pleasantly surprised with the latest results.

GamerPerfection 02-14-2011 07:21 PM

Good for you, i'm still on $0.09.

garyopa 02-17-2011 01:03 PM

I run a very busy forum, with around 100,000 members and about 200 to 300 new ones per day.

Since installing this, at first I was making between $6 to $7 right off the bat.

But sadly, the "search" function got broken, I like having it on the search as it cut down stupid bots or kiddies doing dumb searchs.

But normal useful members complaint that certain "search" functions like "search this thread" disappeared, when it was enable, even the "drop-down" menu on the vbulletin navbar disappears and just gets replaced with search.

If somehow the templates for vbulletin could be improved so "quick search" and "search this thread" would stay working, it would be great, or at least trade-off, display on "advanced search" but DON'T BREAK the "search this thread" function.

Anyhow, I disable the display for search and now using it for my daily 200 to 300 signups, and that is bringing in about $1 to $2 per day.

If they fix the "search" then it would be nice, as I could reach the $200 easy within a month.

Internetcafe 02-20-2011 09:18 AM

Anyone got this working on 4.1.2 ?

deverill2010 02-20-2011 01:41 PM

I have this installed on 4.1.2 and seems to be working so far.

deverill2010 02-20-2011 02:54 PM

Is there anyway to see how many partners you have per catergory? It would just be nice to know that it is worthwhile installing this mod. Obviously if my site is aimed at all the catergories where you have no partnerships then its pretty pointless isnt it?

Also is there anyway to filter out specific types of ads? e.g. it is very important to my site that NO formlua afverts are shown.

There is currently no way for publishers to see which categories our advertisers are targeting. Our sales team is constantly working on securing new advertisers for all publisher categories.

There is also currently no way to filter out specific ads. Selecting the proper publisher categories will reduce the likelihood of you getting an unwanted advertisement type.

deverill2010 02-24-2011 02:02 PM

Can you confirm for me if you have formula companies as partners or not? As this will sway whether I use the modification or not, sorry to be a pain!

I am not sure what you mean by "formula company".

Since our advertising inventory is constantly changing, there is no guarantee that a formula company will not work with us in the future.

I 2nd the question.

Mine was for Dish Network though. All you saw was their logo and it asking, "How would your describe this brand?"

OldSchoolDSL 02-24-2011 03:17 PM

eCPM = $50.89
Revenue = $0.34

WTF?

That is a market research question that we run as part of our distribution for advertising partners. Any answer other than a blank is accepted. They are served very rarely and only if our system determines that the possibility of abuse is extremely low.

taffy056 02-24-2011 06:52 PM

Oh well that ends that, your server is down!

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.solvemedia.com

Google Chrome cannot reach the website. This is typically caused by network issues, but can also be the result of a misconfigured firewall or proxy server.

taffy056 02-24-2011 07:02 PM

Okay server is working now, but can't select Solvemedia because its not there, running 4.1.2

5. Open the "Human Verification Manager" menu under the "vBulletin Options" panel ("Settings" panel in v4.0)
6. Select "SolveMedia" and save

Formula companies are the people who sell baby milk. You should have some sort of filter in place realistically.

Nice mod though.

We closely monitor all of our servers and we did not experience downtime at any point yesterday.

Ok, here we go.
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2012/01/11.gif Intsalled
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2012/01/11.gif Signed up at www.solvemedia.com / http://portal.solvemedia.com
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2012/01/11.gif I picked diferent categories that applies to my site.

Now the question: Why the product only showes puzzles with simple text?, I mean, not images nor "Enter quote words" or something like solve media examples.
Everything is configured (API keys, AdminCP->Human verification-> Solvemedia)

By default at solvemedia portal says: "I prefer revenue", instead "I prefer security", do I have to change something there or whats going on?.

Regards

Dood. Does it work? Seriously, I made nada from my previous CAPTCHA, and likely won't make much from this one (from the posts I've seen here), but it will still be more than nothing and from a CAPTCHA that appears to actually work. I have the 3.8 system installed and so far it appears to work very well as CAPTCHA.

SEW810 03-07-2011 03:15 AM

Could you tell me please what does eCPM mean?
And why it goes down when my Solved type ins go up???

Example.

When installed it said:

Solved: 120
eCPM: 0.45
Revenue: 0.15
Impressions: 180

and now it says

Solved: 180
eCPM: 0.25 <<<
Revenue: 0.15
Impressions: 593

Thanks.

Regards

Some of our revenue-bearing creatives may look like standard CAPTCHA puzzles. It is also possible that you have triggered our fraud system, or your site's category does not fall into any of our advertisers' targets, or that you don't fall into any of our advertisers' demographic targets.

eCPM stands for "effective Cost Per Mille". In the publisher context, it is your current revenue rate per 1000 puzzle impressions.

Bumping my post......

As you can see. It is allowed to do it after 24 hrs and no more than 2 times a week.
This is my first time that I do it since I joined this community.

Point 7. : No "Bumping" (Your threads/posts): Please do not repeatedly bump your threads to try and get attention. Most members of the site are not online 24 hours a day and so will not see your post the instant it is made. Do not bump a thread within 24 hours, and not more than twice a week.

So how are everyone's earnings looking from this?

SGCH 08-08-2011 02:05 PM

On 4.1.4, the solve media option was available in the human verification manager options, but nothing would show on the registration page. I upgraded to 4.1.5 and now I can't get solve media to even be an option in the human verification manager (I can change the keys in the options section though).

Any ideas?

edit: Completely reinstalled everything and I'm back to where I was. I can select solve media in the human verification manager, but when I go to the registration page, nothing shows up.

The mod has been updated to version 1.0.3. This version adds a language option and support for HTTPS sites.

SGCH 08-10-2011 11:10 AM

Seems like the wrong files were uploaded. They appear mostly unchanged and it still doesn't work. Only change I was able to find was in product-solvemedia.xml with the version check URL (line 8)
