Yes, that could be useful, to inform members that they have profile info block and that they can edit it. :)
|
mine isn't showing up at the top like your screenshots, and I have no idea what some of the posts are saying. I am running the latest version of vbulletin, but I put test in both places to show you and it's in the about page, not up at the top like it should be. I am going to need a bit more help probably, because I have not edited the css templates yet and am still learning. But here's what mine looks like:

BB Code works now but doesn't show for Guests.
|
Yeah, I can't get mine to form its own separate block either. Am I missing a step? I followed the dev's instructions and read this thread...
I activated it in the admin cp settings as well. |
Is there a second place where the block needs to be enabled besides AdminCP->Settings->Option->Profile Intro Options as I appear part of the great unwashed masses form whom this block doesn't appear except in About Me.
I see posts mentioning "AdminCP" and that's a spot broad. |
Installed and working perfectly!
|
installed on 4.1.4 and works fine just not IMG code yet :(

I am glad I subscribed to this thread! I am still a bit new to all these mods and vbulletin and it's so nice to have them working as described. I am guessing many have been where I am now. I have a lot to learn yet!
At any rate, I too installed on 4.1.4. I had tried to install while on 4.1.3 but this being my first mod I must have done something wrong, so I just reloaded up the xml and overwrote and now it works like a dream. Nominated too! My first mod to nominate as well although now I have installed quite a few! |

Any help please? |
SWEET! Awesome on 4.1.4

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your patience, and sorry to keep you waiting for a new version of this mod. I have included a few fixes with this release, such as: - Load CSS properly when forum stylesheets are set to be stored as files - Display the Profile Intro block to everyone (it was previously hidden to guests) Hope you continue to find this modification useful, thanks for installing it! |
If I may request this would be even better if the
Profile intro title was not required for it to display. |
The bbcode feature is not seem to be working!

Could we do it the other way too?
Profile Intro Text not required for it to display. Therefore if it's filled out the other will display. :) |

they will see what it does and more likely to use it. Seeing it in action. ;) |

Love the plugin, if you could fix the [img] bb code not working that would be great. My members would really like to use images in that area.
|
I would like to see a kind of protection in order not to allow new users to be able to set their profile info until they reach a minimum number of posts. Otherwise it would result into a too dangerous way to post spam info.
Thanks a Lot |

What you can do to fix the problem in your case is click on every profile field in the admincp and update there, once saved it will display properly both in the backend and in the front end. Hope this helps. |
thanks for the quick reply phpdesk and for your time spent on this mod you share...
it's much appreciated |

Hi phpdesk
I know this may not be a fix for everyone but it worked for me.. I did as you suggested here Quote:
so I edited the field*_desc part in the xml file.. to this.. Code:
$template_hook[custom_css_list] .= ',profile-intro.css'; Code:
if(THIS_SCRIPT=='css') Code:
if(THIS_SCRIPT=='css') thanks again If you see a issue of what I did let me know.. regards Hippy |
I guess thats why it wouldn't display if you had save css as a file..

No, no need to remove anything, just reimport the xml product file and make sure "Allow Overwrite" is checked. This should fix the issue. |

Anyway, by the look of the screenshot, you're having the CSS-not-loading issue. Are you having your forum set up to store CSS as files? I have addressed this particular issue recently, and tested it working with the latest version of vBulletin. Is there a particular reason why you aren't upgrading yours? |
Hey phpdesk love the mod. :) When you get a chance please add post #102 :)
