I have a few questions:
  1. How do I integrate vBShop with vBExperience points? I want to use vBExperience points as the official currency for vBShop. Please inform me exactly how to do this.
  2. How do I edit the number of points for a specific user? I tried editing a user's profile in the AdminCP, but was unable to find this feature. Please advise.
  3. I set up an item for purchase that enables a user to open and close their own threads. After purchasing the item, the user is still unable to open and close their own threads, despite having purchased the item in vBShop. I also had this problem with other "Usergroup Permissions (Values)" and "Usergroup Permissions (Yes / No)" settings. How can I fix this issue?

dizzynation 06-14-2011 06:01 AM

Vbshop when installed kept my guest from viewing posts, it just sent them to a white page.

I don't know exactly how to do this, but you need to edit the default currency with the vBExperience column. Ask in the vBExperience thread if you need help figuring out what column in the user table it uses :)

Ensure you're running 2.2, as that is a feature in that version.

If you give me a complete list of problematic permissions I will look into them.

Thats the thing, there was no error message, only a blank white page, when i globally disable vbshop the guest can view the post, but not when its active.

Please upload the files exactly as they are inside the upload folder to your forum folder :)

Did you check your server's error log?

Thanks for your reply! :) I'll ask over there.

I am running 2.2 (the download you currently have on here), and am unable to find it. Could you please direct me to where I would find this feature in the AdminCP to edit the amount of points per user?

The following are problematic permissions that do not work for me (I tested with a regular registered user, and the features listed below didn't work after purchasing them in the shop):

NOTE: I will edit this list as I encounter additional errors.

Usergroup Permissions (Yes / No)
  • Can Open / Close Own Threads
  • Can View Who's Online

Usergroup Permissions (Values)
  • Minimum Time Between Posts

The same user manager where you can edit their password and other vBulletin fields :)

If it's going to be an ongoing list, could you please post it in our support forums? In about 2 days your post will be buried, and it'll be very hard for me to keep track of it reliably.

If you post a bug report on our support forum, I'll give it a week or so while you keep digging :)

Just to explain why this is happening: Sometimes, vBulletin create their permissions in a non-standard manner, which requires some tweaking in order to properly get it to work with vBShop.

I installed the Pro version V2.2.0, and any time I try to add/edit an item, I get this.

Any idea how to fix this?

That's a bug in vB3 when ran on PHP 5.3, which IB has thus far been unwilling to fix.

You can fix it by opening the files and lines mentioned and changing
PHP Code:

=& new

to
PHP Code:

= new

:)

SimpsonsFF 06-22-2011 07:26 PM

Thanks :) that fixed it.

MikalMirkas 06-26-2011 06:24 AM

One of my users have reported this bug on my friend's forum, PR2Portal.com.

Log out, go to any thread, and this will pop up:
Fatal error: Class 'vB_Template' not found in /home/pr2porta/public_html/forums/dbtech/vbshop/hooks/postbit_display_complete.php on line 21

DragonByte Tech 06-26-2011 11:58 AM

majsm 06-26-2011 03:53 PM

hey, this is an amazing plugin i shall say. But the custom item feature i struggle on. I want to say add a custom item say, animated avatar, so users can purchase the permission to use animated avatars instead of needing me to add the permission to them. How would i go around doing this?

DragonByte Tech 06-27-2011 11:38 AM

That is the "Usergroup Permission (Yes/No)" item type, it will allow you to set the "Can Have Animated Avatar" or whatever permission :)

Or... instead of folks having to edit core vB files, you can change the error_reporting in the mod from:
PHP Code:

error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE);

to:
PHP Code:

error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~8192);

And it is not necessarily a "bug" in vBulletin - all files were updated to include the new error reporting (as above).

I'm struggling to find it within the User Manager

DragonByte Tech 07-04-2011 05:38 PM

It's in the right side column when you're editing a user, underneath the External Connections block and the Time Options block :)

DragonByte Tech 07-24-2011 03:42 PM

A hotfix is available to correctly hide the Pro-only item types from the Item Management now :)

I just installed this product last night and Ive added items to the shop, but no one can purchase them. How do I fix this? Every usergroup has been set to allow to see the shop and the items and the items are fully stocked, but no one, not even me can purchase it.

hpidriver 08-16-2011 11:20 PM

Does this mod support a method to simply purchase points?

Ensure you've added items to the shop (via Shop Manager) and then gone abck to Item Manager to set all the fields like stock / max stock, price, etc :)

No, for that you can use and integrate vBCredits II Deluxe, but PayPal purchases require the Pro version.

The items are in the shop, all of my members can see them and I've set the number of items that is supposed to be there to 50. Attached is a screenclip of the item's settings and then the shop settings.

vBShop v2.2.2
Fix: Notification links should now hopefully work with vBSEO even when its "Rewrite Member URLs" setting set to No
Fix: Any un-recorded hotfixes since the last version released.
Fix: Stealing will now actually be successful depending on the printed steal chance.
Change: The products now support the Product URL and Version Check features of the vBulletin Product Manager

Fresh install, keep getting these errors. What is the fix?

That seems to have fixed it. Thank you.

Nope. I spoke too soon. I'm still getting it.

[13-Oct-2011 08:58:02] PHP Fatal error: Class 'vB_Template' not found in /home/name/public_html/forum/dbtech/vbshop/hooks/postbit_display_complete.php on line 21

There are 5,5110 lines about this in my forum error log since I updated the code with the zip you sent.

And my users are getting blank pages when they click from the notification emails they receive about forum activity.

This is really disrupting things

DragonByte Tech 10-13-2011 03:06 PM

Are you sure you didn't accidentally re-upload the old files? It makes no sense that it was fixed 14 hours ago but broke again now.

Fillip

doubleclick 10-13-2011 03:45 PM

I doubt it. Maybe I just didn't wait long enough to report the results.

However, anything is possible, so I'll unzip and upload the last batch of files and let you know how it goes.

Thanks

doubleclick 10-13-2011 04:16 PM

Hello -

Just overwrote my local files with the new zip, and uploaded.

Same errors.
