Although changing your own username is something the user has thought about and saved up enough gil to do so.

Changing someone else's however is the fun part but the fact they have to save up to change it back lol could be a headache.. So yeah the expiration would be better.

Try setting the table to "user" :)

Hello, by any chance is there a way to have the color of the user names not change in the Currently Active Users block on forum home when they change their user name color? We really like it for the postbit but if it's possible we would rather not for that block in forum home. Thank you very much for your time and congratulations on a great product.

How can users undo the changes that they made?
ex. they changed color of username and they wanna change it back to original.

I've installed the mod and think it will be a great addition to my site.

I was wondering if it's possible to add gifts that can be bought for other members. For example buying a dozen roses that go to another member and show up in either their postbits and/or profile. Obviously I need to upload an icon of roses for this but the ability to do this would be great.

2. What happens with the points used for purchasing items/gifts? Do they go into a 'bank' of sorts or to a pre-specified profile or something? Or do they just kind of disappear?

Selective display is not currently a feature, no.

Try changing the "Points Field" setting to ucash.

They'd need to buy the item again and in your example, leave the colour field blank.

This will be addressed in a future version.

Yes it is, though the ability to gift an item to another member is a Pro-only feature.

Hello, in relation to selective display, would there be a way to select which gifts )you purchased or were given to you) to display in the postbit? There may be a scenario that a member has more than the max amount of gifts and wants to display a specific few , would there be any way to control that?

In addition there should be more options (on add/edit gift page) to set each Gift item "Self Purchasable" - "Only for other users" and "Only for friends". And admin can bypass any restriction.

We're hoping to let people enable / disable username styling and other item effects via the item management interface :)

I'm trying to test an item that involves users purchasing the ability to change the topic in the chat room. It is a usergroup permissions set by default to no but the override is not working.

What am I doing wrong?

It's possible that some usergroup permissions cannot be overridden, it's sadly impossible for us to test every single combination possible.

A couple more requests!
I've had users ask about
1. The gift alt text (in profile and postbit) saying who gave said gift,
and 2. the ability to "throw away" gifts you don't want

It would be a great mod if it actually had a pm or email notification system for the purchases in the shop.

All 3 features are coming in a future version, we're currently busy on our next project but after it has been completed we will re-visit our currently released mods and add features like these :)

If I upgrade my board from vb3x to vb4x and then install this mod does the credit system start from scratch.

ie if X members have 2000 threads already I would rather everyone start a fresh and not have upper members benefit from higher priced goods as soon as mod is installed.

The file is definitely in the zip, are you sure you are uploading the contents of the upload folder and not the upload folder itself?

Not sure I need to purchase the Pro this time around for what I will use it for, but definitely another nice mod by DBT. I do think a good Pro feature would be the ability to import/export lists of gifts/items. Although, I could do that via sql for myself, but maybe some cannot.

Already something we're looking into for the next version =)

Hello, First of all I just want to say that this is one our members favorite mods and of course ours as well. One thing though we have been coming across are some database errors when guests try to access the shop. They have been given permissions to view the shop but they get this when trying to access:

Also, for me for instance I have had a couple of times going to the shop that the "purchase" button disappears. This happens only with "items" (some I have purchased some I have not). Any ideas why this would be happening?

I believe that's one of the bugs fixed in vB 4.0.5 :)

Also, the Purchase button will disappear if you can't buy the item for reasons like permissions or lack of funds.

Can't say as I do, all I know is that the error isn't with any of vBShop's files.

Have you ever received it on any other page?
Even if not, I would still contact vBulletin Support on this. Just don't mention you got the error on a custom page, or they will blow you off like a less reputable lady of the night.

Just upload files or import product as well?

XML import is required whenever a version number is different from the version you are running.

According to the postbit, you're running 1.0, so most certainly yes import product as well :)

One feature I'd have to see added to the list for the pro version would be the ability to set the "theft protection" amount for banks on a user or usergroup basis and have it so members can buy increased theft protection instead of just being able to buy 100% protection.

Also, having trouble with trying to purchase the ability to join groups. User A isn't allowed, but paid for the ability. User B tries to send the invite, but gets message saying User A isn't allowed to join groups.
