Actually it's an issue with IE. FF, Opera and Safari are not the problem. If you look at your templates, look at what vb has done, they have css templates specifically for IE. :(

Update: New version released. To upgrade please do the following:
1. Install product and allow overwrite.
2. Revert the templates
3. Modify the templates as outlined in the install.txt file.

I have decided that I hate this mod. I have been up for the last 8 hours getting icons together and just when I think I have it all set up right, I see a better icon somewhere and end up doing the switch and replace game with all my icons. Damn you, Bob! ;)

It's working great, though, sir. ;)

there are too many icons on the web Bobby ... so it's really difficult that 2 sites looks similar ... :)

texasteamplayer 06-20-2010 08:43 PM

updated.

so now, if I set the icons to be 100x100, this happens (in google chrome).

Also, still no clicking to "mark forum as read" function. Enabled yet?

texasteamplayer 06-20-2010 08:58 PM

I can edit some of the forum icon templates to get the sizes right, but your mod should do this itself...right?

forumicon and forumiconbox size edits?

vBulletin sets the div size, the only way to do it would be to redo your CSS completely for those templates....it would require alot of work.

I wouldn't suggest icons larger than 60x60 pixels. Sorry.

I will get this done but I need some time.

Boofo 06-21-2010 01:31 AM

You could probably get away with using 64x64 icons as this mod will resize those. I have tried it and it does work. But getting true 48x48 PNGs transparent usually work better.

Take your time, no biggie. The transparency is working good enough for now.

I would have to look at his/her hack to see what they did....

Edit...what I can do is allow total positioning of the icon for situations like this, you would be able to control the top, left, right and bottom positioning if needed. See attachment below...

i've restored your admin account mate, feel free to make any test there ... :)

however, i've an additional request, can you add an option for the project tools too?

Dark_Wizard 06-22-2010 10:54 AM

Update:

This now let's you mark forums/subforums as read. I have also provided more granular control over icon positioning if needed.

Enjoy!

This would have to be a seperate hack as Project is a seperate product.

Please... no more template changes for a while. ;)

I did make one change for my site that you might want to add in the next version though. In the "old posts" section of each template edit, I added this to the 'alt='

HTML Code:

{vb:rawphrase forum_contains_no_new_posts}

That way there is something there when you mouseover the icon. Users might think there is nothing there when there are new posts if they don't see anything there on mouseover when there are no new posts.

Also, are the icons centered automatically now? I left the settings at default and they are centered vertically now.

I followed the vb standard when indicating posts but I can add that in the next version. Icons by default should (I use that term lightly as I have no control over other hacks.) be centered if left at default. The next version will also allow for the lock icon when indicating locked posts.

Boofo 06-22-2010 02:59 PM

They are centered horizontally on vertically now at default. Before I had to add some padding for the vertical setting. That is why I was curious if you had changed something to cause it to center vertically now.

The no new posts idea was just for users who are not used to not seeing the default icons.
