Thanks! Now it's fixed :D

I get this error

Please upgrade PHP to 5.0 or newer, PHP4 is over 6 years old and is no longer supported by PHP themselves for about 5 years now.

Thank you!, i was looking for a "like" feature.

Any plans on enabling this to VBTUBE?

karly1 05-02-2011 12:03 AM

Hi,

I just had this plugin installed and while it seemed to be working fine, it is causing an issue with new registrations. All new registrations since the installation of the plugin have the user title "guest" and their usernames are not clickable to see their profile, send them PM's, etc. I just disabled the plugin, and that resolved the issue.

Any ideas how to fix this bug??

Thanks

We don't have any plans to support any 3rd party modules at this time.

You have a problem with a hook executed at userdata_postsave - please try disabling all other plugins running on that location and then try creating a test user via the AdminCP and post with that user - it will be working :)

If clicking 'thanks' and/or 'like', can it give you a 'credit' while using vBcredits?

DragonByte Tech 05-04-2011 12:39 PM

Currently only vB reputation is supported :)

on my user profile pages, the Thanks/Like activity records aren't parsing the [post] tags around the thread titles. I've done some template customization, but any ideas where I should look to troubleshoot this?

BTW, nice mod, very full-featured.

Allow Link BBCode in non-forum areas via your vBulletin Options.

Hello DragonByte the only other plugin we are running is amember. Does this mod have any known conflicts with amember?

The latest version of CES Parser Permissions fixed the issue.

Configure your Usergroup settings by clicking "Manage Buttons" under
"DBTech - Post Thanks" in your AdminCP navigation menu, then
editing each button and setting your usergroup permissions from there.

Wow you guys make a lot of very useful mods. I use your advanced user tagging mod and it works like a charm :D

After editing (I found the answer to my previous question):
Are there any plans to introduce the features that Abe's post thank you hack has on users' profile pages. That modification inserts links so that anyone can search for all the posts that they have thanked, and been thanked for.
On edit again: I guess you might suggest using your vBActivity mod instead of inserting those links on the user's profile page manually.

furnival 06-11-2011 04:10 PM

I would need a limit on how many likes or thanks any user can give in a day to make this usable on my forum I think.

DragonByte Tech 06-16-2011 11:45 AM

We'll take it into consideration for future versions :)

souperman 06-25-2011 06:15 AM

nm. I got it to work :/

souperman 06-25-2011 06:29 AM

So I installed it, but it doesn't display anything in the postbit. I'm using postbit_legacy

I can't see the buttons.

DragonByte Tech 06-25-2011 11:15 AM

Please ensure you set up the correct usergroup permissions in the Button Manager. Also, the buttons will not show for your own posts.

Fillip

Muzza 07-25-2011 04:22 PM

Hey. I have uploaded the files. But I don't see the thanks/like button anywhere on the posts. The summary tally (thanks, likes, dislikes etc) appears in the username profile about the post but there is now why to actually like/dislike a post? Did I do something wrong?

In this section of my AdminCP, there are only 3 things under "DBTech - Post Thanks"

Display Version Number
If you disable this, the version number you are running will not be shown to the public.

Yes No
Manual Postbit Deployment
If yes, Advanced Post Thanks / Like will not automatically add its information to the postbit, and you must use {$thanks_postbit} to display the postbit info where you want it to be located.

Excuse my ignorance - not tech minded.

Does that mean I need to re-upload and edit the original config.php file?

DragonByte Tech 07-25-2011 05:55 PM

No, you need to add your userid to the $config['SpecialUsers']['superadministrators'] variable :)

So for instance, if your userid is 1, it should be

$config['SpecialUsers']['superadministrators'] = '1';

Fillip

Shill360 08-03-2011 12:17 PM

I have installed this and I can only get it working in postbit non legacy. Unfortunately my forum Uses Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template and the buttons do not show up.

Any idea how to get this working ?

Edited to add I am using VB 3.8.6 and php5

DragonByte Tech 08-03-2011 11:06 PM

If you're using the Legacy postbit then by your own words it does show up :p

I'm unable to confirm this issue with Legacy postbit turned off, you may have a customised template preventing the buttons from showing up.
Ensure it has
Code:

$template_hook[postbit_end]
at the bottom of the template, above
Code:

<if condition="$show['profile']">
<!-- post $post[postid] popup menu -->

unzipped, uploaded, installed however I am getting the same issue, using a superadmin account and still only see the three options.

ozzy47 08-17-2011 01:33 AM

You must be looking under vBulletin Options in the acp, look on the left side in the acp where styles, templates, forums and you should see a tab called DBTech - Post Thanks.
That is where all the settings are

hpidriver 08-17-2011 03:43 PM

^^ D'oh! Pardon my ignorance I looked right past it the first time.
thank you

TehForum 08-31-2011 07:32 PM

This plugin causes me errors, apparently because it doesn't work on PHP version 5.3.8

DragonByte Tech 08-31-2011 07:44 PM

We're running this mod on PHP 5.3.8 with no errors or problems :)
