Same thing with me. My time zone is GMT, but it didn't post the thread until 1845hrs!

It also included a couple of people whose birthday is on the following day, but are on the opposite side of the world.

It's such a shame, as it could be such a good modification if it worked well.

Hi valter, can you please check why the mod is spamming the forum ? i mean yesterday the mod created 12 threads for 2 members i have in my forum. First it created double threads for every member, but then when i deleted the double threads , the mod created another 2. It kept doing it until the mode created 12 threads :(. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the last 2 updates on the 4.0.2 Pl 4

-=Leb=- 04-01-2010 10:58 PM

uninstalled until valter get time to look into it. today i deleted 22 threads bd greeter for one member only.

unfv 04-05-2010 01:21 AM

on my forum, yesterday at 2:05 GMT - 5, I found a thread congratulating a guy whos birthday was on November 30 :S, and it say that his birthday was on %03-%b-%2010:

Had to disable it on my forum also. It was posting multiple threads at different times on the wrong day!

Edrondol 04-05-2010 04:24 PM

I installed it on April 1st and it went bloody nuts. Threads were EVERYWHERE!

Everyone assumed it was an April Fools joke and that's what I'm letting them think. Unfortunately I have since disabled this hack.

utahraves 04-05-2010 04:56 PM

I had like 30 threads on the first of April.

PLEASE FIX THIS DUPLICATE THREAD ISSUE.

Thank you.

Rckcrwlr 04-05-2010 04:59 PM

Mine is posting duplicates in the middle of the day for the next day...

voglermc 04-13-2010 02:54 PM

How can I run this manually one single time?

-=Leb=- 04-14-2010 07:41 PM

Hi Valter, since this hack had conflit with the advanced post can we install it now ?

-=Leb=- 05-05-2010 01:32 PM

Any news on this hack?

For some reason, this hack is NOT working no more...any ideas as to why...it is enabled and everything.

on my forum isn?t working eather ......

is it because I have the version 4.0.3 of VBulletin instaled ????

voglermc 05-30-2010 03:07 PM

Mine's running fine and creating a single post but it's at the end of the day on their birthday, not at the beginning of the day before they see the post. What's the deal?

Yeah, I had the same issue a while ago, and so did many other people.

I don't think this hack is supported any more, so subsequently many people (me included) have disabled this mod.

Shame, because this is potentially a good idea.

Sorry it's not good news.

carrlos 06-14-2010 03:50 AM

I use html markup for certain groups but it doesn't carry over on this hack. Any solution?

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

Valter 06-14-2010 04:48 PM

Are you using standard codes in markup settings?

What is NTCOLOR?

carrlos 06-15-2010 12:09 AM

Here are my settings:

http://img813.imageshack.us/img813/4...1jun142107.gif

I have no idea where NTCOLOR comes from. It only shows up as a result of the auto birthday greeter, no where else.

Valter 06-15-2010 04:50 PM

Use CSS. Change:

- opening tag to:
Code:

<span style="color:#0000FF;font-weight:bold;">
- closing tag to:
Code:

</span>
- 'User title' to:
Code:

<span style="color:#0000FF;font-weight:bold;">Modding Guru</span>
Change red part to color code you want to use for selected usergroup.

War.Frog 06-19-2010 01:46 PM

What about the wonky date issue? It's frustrating to see someone get their birthday greeting on the right day, but with the actual shown date one day behind.

Bouncer222 06-21-2010 05:42 PM

What if I have myself as one of the ids to be the poster and then my birthday comes up. Does the mod know not to choose me as the greeter if it's my birthday?

CybaGirl 06-23-2010 05:21 AM

Installed and received a happy birthday email.

But for some reason there is no happy birthday post on the forum.

Anyone know what is causing this issue?

Installed on vBulletin version 4.0.3

Thanks.

BadgerDog 07-03-2010 10:48 AM

Ok, had a problem with this mod, the first one I've had since starting to use it both on v3 and now on v4.0.4pl1 ..

For some reason, yesterday it posted 40 posts (two pages) saying "Happy Birthday" to the same 2 members...

The posts seem to be arriving every 10 minutes or so....

It's as if the cron job kept cycling, even though it had already made the single post it should have for each of those 2 members.

Anyone ever had this happen to them?

Regards,
Badger

I had to disable this 3 months ago because of the wrong time and multiple posts. It seems to have started after version 2.0.1 was released. My members miss the auto greetings.

Well, it's been posting repeating messages all day, almost every hour ...

I don't think it's compatible with 4.04 ...

I even completely un-installed it and re-installed it, but still the issue remains ....

I hate to uninstall it, but without a fix it's going to drive everyone crazy ... :D

Regards,
Badger

COL NIL SATIS 07-03-2010 09:27 PM

Happy birthday Badger :)

CybaGirl 07-04-2010 02:20 AM

Yes I get multiple threads created as well. I am using vBulletin 4.0.3. I really like the sound of this mod but I am going to have to disable and uninstall it.

Anyone know if there is another mod around that will do this?

GeorgeB85 07-07-2010 02:04 AM

This for me, has not been working. Not sure why, because all the options are set.

CybaGirl 07-08-2010 01:52 AM

Yes I think the developer has gone walkabout or put it in the too hard basket LOL .

Either way if anyone knows of a similar mod can they please post a link up to it.

Thanks.

spillage 07-09-2010 02:00 AM

I'm running it on 4.0.4... it is working as expected, except it posts ~12hrs early.
ie; a B'day on Jul 9th has posted at 11:52am on Jul 8th.

Thought on a rectification?

spillage 07-10-2010 01:06 AM

I take that back... today, I have multiple posts for the same B'day.
I'm getting a post per B'day member, per hour.

I've disabled this mod until I see the issue acknowledged and resolved.

I didn't realize you had answered me until the same thing happened again this morning! I changed the HTML to the CSS you suggested. Now I have to wait for another birthday for someone with the custom CSS markup! ;)

Thanks!

Edit:
BTW, I haven't had the double-post issue in neither 4.0.3, 4.0.4 or now that I'm on 4.0.5. There must be something else conflicting. Maybe if everyone with the issue posts their list of hacks installed, we may see a pattern.

furst 07-28-2010 02:30 AM

ive had 3 birthdays come up recently and none have had a thread made for them, it just isnt working for me using v4.0.4.

GateKeper 07-29-2010 04:26 PM

not working for us either, going to remove this product, maybe when it gets fixed, we might reinstall it.

Largo .//npc 07-29-2010 06:31 PM

Mine are being created a day early too. Quite annoying.

Angelus 08-03-2010 01:35 PM

Does not function probably for Version: 4.0.5?
