Oh, nice find. I'll fix this in the next update. Are you having wierd cms issues too or is that fixed?

ShadowStalker 02-26-2010 07:06 AM

I am not having any CMS issues right now but I haven't really taken a look into it. When I update that I will let you know. Yeah it just seems to be in the profile and the settings portions.

Will be purchasing this option once pixelwood gets updated.

v.1.11: Fixed Profile and Album styling. Added two more styles too. White Car and Green Car
Other minor fixes not worth mentioning.

White Car

One Package with everything in it. Multiple XML's depending on what theme(s) your using.

Future Fixes:
Possible Image Changer. Need to look into possible options and best available functions.

FractionCommand 03-01-2010 05:42 AM

I am unsure if anyone has asked but on the visitor messages and on the quick reply it is hard to see the buttons for bold and the others.

JWL 03-01-2010 05:03 PM

Would love to see the ported to 3.8.x

murekhalir 03-01-2010 05:22 PM

is there any way to change the background?

daveaite 03-03-2010 03:44 PM

Yes there is, either replace a corresponding image from the image pack or change it at doc_background in stylevars

Mangia 03-03-2010 04:41 PM

This looks great. Nice work!

daveaite 03-03-2010 10:47 PM

Thanks for the compliment

ShadowStalker 03-03-2010 11:55 PM

Found some other hard to see portions of the site:
  • When inserting a video using the image icon in quick reply, users can't see the button options to say okay or cancel
  • When editing a signature, the upload signature picture box has grew text that is very difficult to see
  • When viewing messages in a thread that have been soft deleted, the manage and view post buttons are not clearly visible until mouse over
  • When an admin or moderator looks at a post that has been edited to compare the versions, the text is not viewable due to the colors when you have the option to compare them.
  • Under Settings - Friends & Contacts the option to show avatars is difficult to read
  • Under view profile, where you can leave visitor messages, the B I U are all difficult to see
  • Actually, a lot of the lettering under Settings have text that is difficult to read due to the coloring
  • When posting a new thread, the additional options have some text that is not centered properly as well as some text that is difficult to see

This is all on White Pixel, it isn't a huge deal but just thought I would point these out for you.

daveaite 03-05-2010 12:20 AM

Thanks for the list. If I have time I'll try to update these, very busy at the moment though.\

Those icons are dark because they are the default vB icons, and not theme "colored"

daveaite 03-12-2010 05:59 AM

All demos and the BP Network is currently down as we are switching from shared servers to a dedicated server. Please excuse any downtime and delayed updates on themes.

[Expect 24-72 hours]

Blain 03-13-2010 05:23 AM

Just a word of encouragement. Huge fan of your work on these styles and I'm much in debt!

daveaite 03-13-2010 06:20 PM

Thanks Blain. :) Your words don't go unnoticed!

Replicators 03-13-2010 07:13 PM

Please make a dark red version! I don't want it evil looking, but i want it sci fi'ish which is the theme i am aiming for.

interfx 03-13-2010 10:42 PM

This works just great!!!

One question, I notice on the forums page the background image is more faded than the CMS home page? Is there a setting to "tone down" the image in the style? or should I do in Photoshop? Still wondering thy they look different?

interfx 03-13-2010 11:28 PM

One more question, how do you chnage the height of the Forum Title Bar so it is fatter...

JWL 03-13-2010 11:31 PM

Tapping Toe Patiently Tapping Toe

a 3.8.5 Version would be absolutely Super Duper and Neat-O as well ;)

You can tone using an image editing program.

You'll have to edit the css thread settings

I don't have vBulletin 3.8x series anymore. It would be easier for you to upgrade to the most recent version of vBulletin instead of me supporting older versions of vBulletin. lol

JWL 03-14-2010 05:06 PM

daveaite

I will not be going o 4 for some time. a few reasons, 1: I do not believe it is ready for prime time 2: I am heavily invested in 3.8.x

Just thought I would ask, it is an awesome theme, besides, 3.8.5 is pretty much the last of the kind.....

Daryn 03-14-2010 08:19 PM

I'd like to change a couple of things like the color of the login box, the search box, and the dropdown boxes at the bottom. What stylevars effect those? The toplinks_form_input and toplinks_login_background vars don't seem to change it.

Yeah, but its time to move to 4.x. The more you keep investing into 3.8x, the harder it will be to part from it. In time, nothing will be supported for 3.8x. I'm not sure why vB keeps releasing updates for 3.8x as its old forum software. It just seems unreasonable to me to devote time to something expiring.

Thanks for the compliments. :)

Login box is affected by the tab background
Searchbox is affected by nav background I think

I don't know if the nav background effects the searchbox. The search box is showing white, and the nav background is rgb(51, 51, 51).

As for the login form, the tab background is a transparant image that's not white either.

Not sure where else to look.

daveaite 03-14-2010 09:32 PM

Try using an addon for firefox called firebug. You can highlight certain components of vBulletin and it gives you hints to what stylevars it may be. :)

Can you tell me which vars to change to fix these issues?

The text is too dark for my widgets (circled) and the notification box color is the same as the link color when not hovered.

Thanks! Great styles btw. Installed them all.

daveaite 03-15-2010 05:22 PM

Look under CMS Widgets in StyleVars. Content Background properties

Blue91 03-15-2010 07:17 PM

Thanks for the quick reply. Will it change it for all styles at once or will I be able to change it for each style independently?

Also, can you tell me what to change to make the image scroll with the forums? From what I read, this is like it used to be. I want the mustang one to move with the forums since currently, due to image size, most users only see the top half of the car, haha.

daveaite 03-16-2010 01:04 AM

You'll have to change it for each style accordingly.

Image scroll > doc_background > add to vertical > "fixed"

I wasn't aware that it wasn't fixed. If you want a reference, take a look at the other pixel style vars what they have for doc_background and just copy that. Right now my servers are down so I can't fix the themes as I switch to dedicated. I may be able to update the car theme though.

wickedstangs 03-16-2010 11:04 PM

Installed and liking it.. Please get your sites back up:) Thanks for the Skin..

wickedstangs 03-17-2010 01:11 AM

daveaite,
A couple of things.
1. How can I make the Banner Bigger?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/37.jpg

2. How Can I make the Text Box Space match the site instead of White?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/37.jpg

3. How to Make these lines white instead of black?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/38.jpg

4. How to change these to images vice text?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/39.jpg

5. How to change the calendar days?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/40.jpg

And do you make custom site Icons/Button Sets?

daveaite 03-17-2010 02:47 AM

A couple of things.
1. How can I make the Banner Bigger?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/37.jpg
Increase the logo size using an image editing program
2. How Can I make the Text Box Space match the site instead of White?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/37.jpg
You'll need to custom edit the css. Its better to keep it white personally.
3. How to Make these lines white instead of black?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/38.jpg
Go into stylevars and changes the borders to white.

4. How to change these to images vice text?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/39.jpg
Check under stylevars under calendar_ ...color

5. How to change the calendar days?
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/03/40.jpg

And do you make custom site Icons/Button Sets?

Yes., currently my network is down, so technically unavailable due to dedicated server switch and domain transferring.

12xbl 03-17-2010 11:22 AM

Stunning vB 4 style !!!!!

-=Leb=- 03-17-2010 12:03 PM

Very nice styles :)

interfx 03-19-2010 09:24 PM

Have you ever considered a light version of this skin? ie. not a dark balck image, but a lighter image as the background... Possible?
