Dont know where to start to find that... its utf-8 but i have no idea... any tips?

Forum have Swedish as default language utf-8
Forum have English language utf-8

my charset is

i have a question regarding admincp.
we have any option a follows:
Quote:

Restriction for Private Forums
By default, actions taken in Guest-not-viewable forums will be turned off automatically but if you enable this setting, those actions will be disabled completely to protect sensitive information from leaking accidently Yes No
i have few private forums that i do not want to be shared @ facebook.

I had to disable plugins, uninstall, then reinstall.

Now, 3.1 is giving me an error in IE8:

Scratch that, neither 3.0 nor 3.1 appear to work for me in IE, across 2 sites. :(

*edit* 3 sites, including the 4.0 'demo board' from the OP.

Get then when trying to import the product.

Call to undefined method stdClass::called() in /home/username/domains/domains/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 3700

I would rethink releasing this with so many bugs.

How else is he supposed to find and fix the bugs if it is working on his set up.

He needs us to help find them for him to fix. People should try this on a test board before installing on a live site.

He should set this to "Beta", not "Gold" and making the same mistake as IB did with vB4.

Also, who says people are testing them on their live sites?

Arrogance at it's best.

It isn't who says, Maybe you should read this thread. There are several people saying my live site is down, my members are complaining. I was not speaking at you directly.

How many styles do you have in your forums? Do you keep any incompatible style from vBulletin 3.8 installation? Did you make any changes to YAFB templates manually?

Well, I have just setup a new vBulletin 4.0 Gold forums, install YAFB 3.0 and upgrade to YAFB 3.1, no problem at all. Also, there are other people who managed to upgrade to 3.1 successfully so please give more detail about your situation so I can track the issue down and solve it (if I can, actually, I think it's vBulletin issue since the error is in one of the core script)

kall 01-10-2010 05:30 AM

@MrPaint: Are you aware that it doesn't work in Internet Explorer, even on your own test 4.0 site?

I'm having the same issue.

3 Styles, one active. But it fails on the first try. And no to all your questions.

Anyone who has sucessfully installed 3.1 - what happens if you try to uninstall it?

I'll be surprised if you can. It will more than likely throw that error.

What's the errors please?
And please do not try to uninstall the product just to test since all connected information and options will be removed (at least if the uninstall process run through like I have just done)

The same error as when trying to import the 3.0 - 3.1 upgrade .xml.

PHP Code:

Fatal error:  Call to undefined method stdClass::called() in /home/xxx/public_html/includes/class_core.php on line 3700

That error occurs when trying to Uninstall the resultant broken 3.1.

However, as a test, I just tried to Upgrade to 3.1 from 3.0 *again*. It worked, there were no errors at all. The first time, I got the error though.

Err, so if you install 3.1 directly, you get the error. But if you install 3.0 and then 3.1, it go through?

This thing is so much annoying

That was without the new files uploaded.

Upload the 3.1 files, try to run the upgrade,

PHP Code:

Updating style information for each style

Only if you run 3.1 upgrade script before uploading 3.1 files.

I'm not sure if that's a complete upgrade though, considering it probably references those on upload.

rikognition 01-10-2010 07:17 AM

I needed to uninstall the product, but I got a

Updating Style Information for 'vB4 Default Style' and child styles...

* vB4 Default Style ... (Templates)
Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::called() in /home/edrul/public_html/forums/includes/class_core.php on line 3700

And now I am not able to remove it completely, and I am not able to update any custom styles. If I try to edit the template and save, I get the same error, and when I try reinstalling YAFB it also gives this error... pretty much anytime anything tries to update the style information.

Any help?

YAFB 3.1 supports your server restriction already (by using an alternative method, which is not as secure as the old one but it works)

swijaya0101 01-10-2010 09:30 AM

Excellent modification. If you can, please take the linkage between existing account and facebook out of user profile and put it somewhere obvious.

great plugin mate ... installed :)

KURTZ 01-10-2010 09:55 AM

just downloaded the 3.1 package and installed the .xml but there is an error ... in the plug-in system i've still the 3.0 ... check the file please ...

edit:

just re-installed onto a fresh new board ... and when i open a new thread i get this ...

Code:

Warning: tempnam() [function.tempnam]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File() is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/fniv/:/tmp:/var/tmp:/usr/local/lib/php/) in [path]/includes/class_upload.php on line 275

Warning: fopen() [function.fopen]: Filename cannot be empty in [path]/includes/class_upload.php on line 281

so the troubles aren't gone ... :S

FYI, still figuring what's causing the annoying error when installing 3.1 :(
If you run into the error, please upload overwriting this file into /forum-root/fbb/ http://www.mediafire.com/?dnzneeuz4md
