Great stuff!

I installed the plugin, logout, and tried a few times, it is working..
When I was going to customize which messages show up and what they say, I went to my vBulletin Options, scroll near the end of the list, but I cannot find/select "Limited Guest Viewing System"

anyone know why?

That's strange, are you sure you uploaded all of the files besides just the plugin?

It may be a bit higher on the list. Try clicking the first option and press the "l" key until you find it

Let's try that.... if it doesn't wokr it may be a collision with another mod which we can fix too.

Does this allow the user to continue viewing after receiving the message?
Also, does the custom message support html/javascript?

Yes or no, you can set up a warning message or just block them.

And yes you can use your own scripts/ code.

any way to activate it in schedule time
like gmt 1 am - 10 am it will be activated and other time disabled.
i need this function badly. like 1 am - 10 am my website have 1000 visitor on line other time only 400 visitor on line. so i want to activate it only 1 am - 10am . other time it will be turn off.

You would have to modify the hack to add additional code. Checking time isn't a hard thing to do.

Hello there Ted

1st Thanks for the Hack, when I first saw it I thought I would not have a need for it and then while dicussing a problem with my other admin I realised that this hack could solve it!

Anyway this mod has installed fine apart from, the main bit I want is not working for me, I have seen it covered a few times in this mod but no real solution stated for one reason or another.

The Block part of the Mod works fine, for testing I set it to 5 and after 5 reads it block me great. But the First part to suggest you register does not show up for me on any setting. I see another user had same issue and that you may have solution but it went no further?

Any ideas please

My bad :( I am normally spot on when it comes to reading the read me's but on this occasion I totally missed that bit! All working now.

It would be cool if we could control the additions of other sections of the website to be included in the page view counts. For example, if we could check off the CMS area or the Picture Albums area. :)

The included instructions make no mention of uploading the includes/xml file hooks_limited_guest_viewing4.xml, But I take it this is necessary?

I *heart* this mod! Had it tagged for a while, just installed today. was one of the easiest mods I ever had to use! Site owner is very happy with it. I set to 10 views so visitors can get themselves a bit hooked first to the content ;)
