Good but very slow on my pc when use lightbox

do u have standard version ?

BBR-APBT 01-04-2010 04:02 PM

I will add the option to turn off lytebox so it just resizes images.
I will also be adding this to the CMS.

At TIZE you will just turn off the lytebox side of things and links will work normal.

All coming soon.

Blackhat 01-04-2010 05:34 PM

The resize works, but when I click them they open fullsize in the same window. Have to click "back" to get back reading the rest of the topic.

Why isnt this working ?

Awesome, can't wait!!

It's a huge pain to have to save the image, manually resize it, upload it again, and repost it, just to put something on the front page. HUGE miss for VB imo.

I don't have need of lightbox, should be possible use this hack only for resize?

Did you upload the lytebox folder?
Are you waiting for the page to reload?

I uploaded the folder and I wait until the page is loaded. Can vbseo have something to do with it cause thats the only plugin I have installed

BBR-APBT 01-04-2010 11:34 PM

I am not sure if VBSEO would mess with it I don't think so.

Can you send me a link to your site where some images are posted. you can send it in PM if you like.

Of course i use vb4 with vbseo 3.5 and dont work..

only resize works fine but by clicking the picture i have a black background and a little white window with no picture and no buttons ^^

BBR-APBT 01-05-2010 10:55 PM

vbseo must be trying to rewrite the url to the image.

Ducks 01-06-2010 05:16 AM

Thanks. However could you make an option so only scaled images can be clicked?

linuxututs 01-06-2010 06:31 AM

Everything works Perfect on my site, and I also have vbSEO installed. ( Haven't tested the blog out yet, but I'm happy with it working with the forums.
Have noticed sometime you have to refresh your browser to get it to work.

SUPER Mod! Thank You.

Thanks,

No can do. If I did that then you wouldn't be able to open them and flip through the photos for each post or have the slideshow. That option will be there if you turn off lytebox. With the update.

movslow 01-06-2010 01:46 PM

Smal FYI.

The issue with VB4 Supercharged & conflicts with your mod seems to be fixed in the newer versions.

meissenation 01-06-2010 04:44 PM

Biggest thing missing from this is that it should open to the full size image in a new window if you click the lytebox image again.

I don't even know if this mod is even worthwhile - on my forum the image opens SMALLER in the lytebox than it appears in the post. What's the point then if I can't view the full size image?

Edit: OK I see now - the lytebox is opening to the size of the window... ...which is still making the image smaller than the 500x500 size that it is in the post. :( Meh...

meissenation 01-06-2010 04:57 PM

Add GCBOS to the list of modifications that this is not compatible with. With this mod installed, GCBOS's code gets all funky if you have it on Showthread.php and there's an image that's been resized. Disabled this mod and the GCBOS went back to normal. :(

Uninstalling

rizelim 01-06-2010 05:18 PM

The problem is, that when users link to an image hotlink that should have opened an external website that see the javascript popup with the thumbnail instead :(

The best I can do is let you turn lytebox off then the link will work as normal. The image will still resize. In order for lyetbox to work you need to wrap a link to the image around the image its self. That is just how lytebox works.

I would like to work on this Friday as I will have a bit of time open friday. I would need some one to give me admin access on their test vb4 with CMS. Only AdminCP access not ftp or any ssh. to make this work with the CMS as I don't own the CMS.

Someone let me use their site for the blog part. I had someone send me a PM with access but I never had the chance to do it at the time. Since I do not own the CMS I have no way to make this work with it. Please do not give me access to your live site a test site only.

meissenation 01-07-2010 01:49 PM

In doing more testing - the lytebox.css or the lytebox.js file is messing with the GCBOS Shoutbox. I disabled the plugin which inserts the css and js into the header and it still resizes the pictures and when you click the picture it just opens in a new window. With this plugin disabled, GCBOS displays all the messages again. It's like the lytebox.css or lytebox.js file strips the first '[' characters out of it.

Really sucks because this is the only image resizer for vb4 right now so I need to have it installed.

I have the default javascript and css that came with lytebox I did not edit them. except for the css for the path of the images.

I can tell you that this mod is not striping any code from your shoutbox.
It only ads code, it does not strip anything. It only ads code in specific locations which is the postbit and the blog post. It could be a css issue or even javascript, but you will have to get the person that made the shoutbox to alter his code as this is all default lytebox code which is used all around the internet. I am sure the guy that made lytebox is not going to change his code to work around one small mod for vBulletin.

I have no intent to change the code in this mod to work around the shoutbox.

BBR-APBT - My only "Wish" for this modification would be to allow members to specify the dimensions they want resized in their UserCP. My theme is fluid so it really depends on peoples monitors..

BBR-APBT 01-08-2010 04:21 PM

Updated: v1.01 - Added option to turn off Lytebox and fix for vB4: SuperCharged mod

I tried to add support for the vBcms, but they still have no hooks in place for the cms articles.

I Could make it happen right now but it would require file edits. It would make me have to support members a lot more cause many members will have errors altering code.

So I will wait till Monday when they release vB 4.0.1 and see if they added any hooks.

Sorry to the CMS users.

I don't plan on adding this because I used fixed templates and I would not want my users setting there own sizes.
Plus I do not provide support to people who have not clicked install.

Thanks again
suggest
Can you prepare the mod to work only on images that are larger than 200 x 200
maybe this well help as with problems hotlink in image with size 200 x 200

Waiting

Alien 01-09-2010 12:06 AM

Will this modification cause any sort of page "snap"?

In other words, will it load the full image then re-size it quickly afterwords (and a quick snap down is visible)?

Or is it done in a more eloquent way?

When the images load they are already resized. It still loads the fullsize image but it is already resized on page load.

compuminus 01-09-2010 02:33 AM

Great mod, but I'd really like it to work for album images as well . . .

Trumpetrhapsody 01-09-2010 06:26 PM

Not sure if it's supposed to or not... but clicking on the image with Lytebox turned off does not link to the fullsize version anymore.

It would be nice to have that as on option, perhaps with load in page or load in new tab as a selection in admincp.

That is the way it was meant to work. That was meant that way for the people that wanted to add their own links to images.

Lytebox adds its own link.

I can make it so it will load the image in a new window with out lytebox.
I will add that in the next release. will just add a extra option if lytebox is off.

Trumpetrhapsody 01-09-2010 06:50 PM

Awesome, thanks!
Looking forward to it

instead of opening it in a new windows, can it resize it to the original size?

Nope It will not do that as the whole point of this is to protect the width of your website. Keeps the pictures with in the divs.

If you need access still to a test site with cms pm me and I'll set you up.
