Some of my users are having the problem of flags not displaying, but I'm guessing that's due to all the options not having images.

Any way for all the options given to have an image?

here's my posbit...i also done with editing templates and at ACP i follow instructions too..but flags can still see on my posts

I have changed the X to your field number 6 for you, but you still won't see them.

The reason is that you are using the postbit_legacy and not the Postbit on your forum.

Which flags aren't displaying? Have you uploaded the contents of the Three (3) flag folders?

My users have reported to me Ivory Coast, and Russian Federation wasn't displaying.

thats my posbit not the postbit_legacy....i dont know why it's not showing...i try to follow intsructions but still not showing

I meant you posted up your postbit code, but on your forum the actual one that you are using is the "Postbit_Legacy".

You will not see it on your forum by changing the "Postbit" template.


What I found is that space is very limited on the Postbit_Legacy (this is based on my experience on testing it on the Postbit_Legacy).

I don't use Postbit_legacy. But; as I said above, as there is limited space with the Posbit_Legacy - if you have too many items in there, it won't work.

It is not in alphabetical order throughout the Options text.

I have now re-done it all in aphabetical order and attached it below (and to the Origianal Opening Post).

i do however recommend that {vb:stylevar imgdir_button} not be used due to a multi-style dilemma. also, <dt>Country:</dt> should be changed to <dt>Country</dt> as the semi-colon will be automatically added.

I added the ':' because I prefer them and vB 4 did not include them. I added them to all the others manually too.

I don't know if the latest version has covered this (4.0.1) because I did a complete upgrade over my 4.0.0.

I must say that I have and continue to have used the {vb:stylevar imgdir_button} with No problems.

But everyone is free do change it to whatever they feel is best for their forum. And to give feedback on their experiences here.

One of the things that I don't like with the new vB is everything on the "Postbit" is aligned to the far right.


Does anyone know how to have that closer together like vB3? With just one space between the ':' and the Member's answer.

i dont know the reason, but on my 4.01 install the semicolons are automatically added, and the use of <dt>Country:</dt> results in double-colons, ie Country::
whether this is specific to me, i dont know :confused:
the issue with {vb:stylevar imgdir_button} is that this nearly always varies from theme to theme, and a user will need to upload the flags dir into each and every themes button directory, which pretty much defeats the purpose of using variables full stop.
anyway, i didnt post these things to demand a change so much as for the use of others that may experience double-colons or wonder why the flags dont show in their non-default theme.

I am using vB 4.0.1 and there is only one (1) ':' showing for me.

But; as you say, if there are two (2) showing, just remove the one from my code. :)
