On 4.0.6 i don't see where i can add the default avatar settings?
|
I don't know how it is in English, but you find this in the vB-settings in the ACP.
vB-Settings -> Users: Avatars & Profile Pics As said I don't know if these are the right english words, as my version is in german language. I hope you'll find it anyway. Enjoy! |
in the english 4.0.6 verison its
Options -> User Picture Options and you find the setting there :) |
Works great on 4.0.6, including CMS.
Thanks |
How can we set up two defaults? let's say one for mail one for female :)
|
there is no way to apply the default avatar (of this mod) to registered users that have not defined an avatar?
i have tryied to Rebuild Avatar Thumbnails but that tool doesnt work to set default avatars to users who have not defined an avatar |
Installed and works perfect, especially for forums that are trying to maintain a strict style organization.
|
Installed and working perfectly for vBulletin version 4.0.6.
In order to maintain a uniform look for a forum theme I had started to write my own modification when I came across this. It does exactly what I need, thanks :) |
Installed: Works like a charm 4.0.6
Glad something like this come out.. I am tired of looking at blank avatars. |

thank you
|
Thanks buddy
|
is it possible that you add an option like this:
all registered users going in same user group, upon registration there is field gender which he/she must complete....he chooses male(gets male default avatar)...she chose female (she gets female default avatar) |
Installed and working on 4.0.8 PL 2
Helpful hint: It's a good ideal to use or compress a very small image for your default avatar. This will reduce bandwidth & load time for forums (communities) whom a lot of users elect to stay with the default avatar. images/misc/unknown.gif Is small to start with (0.8kb), but I compressed it anyways (0.05 kb) |
Nice and easy! Installed and works great.
Thanks! 8) |
Magnificent! Works great!
|
Just what we needed thanks
|
Where are the instructions on how to install this?

i've noticed that once this is installed that it brings up your chosen default avatar on the forums, but if you have a recent blogs or forum posts widget on the CMS it doesn't show the chosen default image, it shows the vbulletin default one. What can I do to get the widgets to show the chosen default image?
|
Nevermind, i fixed it myself. It's easier to just manual change the unknown.gif image than bother using a mod for it.
|
Thanks works perfect with 4.1.0
|
Update check says:
installed version 2.0.3 actual version 2.0.2 Can you fix this? ;) |
Thank you very much.
|
Using this mod and it works great, however, it seems to conflict with a mod I tried for banned user's avatars. any chance you could add an option for a different default avatar for banned users?
