The quick panel to moderate media posted members can be accessed near the bottom of the mainpage of music.

You have too many custom colors that the mod can do without (post title, description colors, background color, menu category colors, etc)

I'd rather give a variety of them instead of 1 or 2. That is not a way I want to set for the musicbox limitation. We learn about something by playing along with it not just by look. ;) Back up a few posts you would see a screenshot for the coming convenient configuration editor, that we no longer have to edit the file and reupload it to the server anymore. At that time you will see the usefulness of those customizations already exist.

No, not yet. I guess i may just download that MOD and spend time to learn its structure, but that would take a while.

And one other thing, how am I going to disable or say No to the new submitted songs? They laid on top of the Quick List.

Searching with unicode pretty depends on the database encoding and page encoding that you have setup. I'm currently testing this on many different forums to get a good solution for all. Stay tune :)

- I havent put down the option to change font color for the title on top of category block until v1.0.4

- For media that queues for approval, click to play them and you'll see the option :up:

Hypothetically say, If some members upload copyrighted content onto this, which is difficult to monitor; then wouldn't your site be vulnerable to copyright infringement lawsuits ?

I would imagine copyright infringement would come into play if the media was available for download..Which is not the case here.

One small request, about the artist, can you make change so that user has the option to input the artist name themselves instead input by admin via admincp?

These versions are pretty much stable already. They are all RC. The effort to make it compatible with downloadsII is great while the demand is low so it's still on the queue line after other higher priority features.

I gave you embed link for music on imeem not video. The video link is slightly different. You have to change the m to the v.

The 30s preview for some media is the restriction on their site, we can do nothing to change it.
Next version will be released very soon. :)

I would like members to be able to download select audio not all audio. Some material from my site would fall under the copyright rules. But as the adminstrator of the site, the DJ has requested if it's possible to make all the audio that he produce be able to download, not the mainstream material found on the site.

Also make it a little easier to add artist, because some of the audio features more than one artist.

This option might be added along with Local Link feature in v1.0.5 . In the coming v1.0.4 there is an option to disable the download button for audio file.
I have thought of all that when I made the decision to code the rule where we have to manually add an artist to the database. Without that, we trade for a price of flexibility : artists who have -no biography, -no list of media that belongs to that artist, cannot search because the name is not recorded anywhere. Take a look in the further future, you will see the reason why the hard work will pay off. A cleaner, more organized artist list, searchable and easies to find media by the artist.

Tasks in v1.0.5 :
Local URL feature. When you check the checkbox Local URL when posting a , the media will follow a predefined folder path. This will help the owner to dynamically fight against leeching and hotlink bandwidth abuse. For example the default setting for path is www.domain.com/music012 . Local URL media obtains the folder path from that setting plus the media filename. Path can be easily modified therefore if someone copied www.domain.com/music012/mysong.mp3 today, tomorrow it could be changed into www.domain.com/musichaha/mysong.mp3 and the old link is no longer valid.

Upgrade some blocks.

In future there might be Article feature. Instead of posting as a media, the new type is Article :rolleyes:

Please remember that by installing music into the musicplayer, without a proper license. You're ofcourse in violation with the Authors rights. So if you have a site with 10.000+ members, I suggest you don't install this.

You should be aware there is a difference between installing the MOD and posting an Illegal media. You draw false attention by saying So if you have a site with 10.000+ members, I suggest you don't install this., is there something illegal by installing a modification ? It's all the owner responsibility for what he/she does with it. Such as an instance where someone has a DVD burner, is it illegal to own one? No. But if it is used to create pirate copies, then Yes. You should have read the first post carefully but drop such a line.

Don't get offended, I totally understand what you mean but it's no right to accuse something while it has no purpose of violating any laws. It does what the administrator wants it to do.

Besides, embed media from online video sharing services such as youtube,dailymotion,etc.. is NOT illegal. These services allow the link to be distributed from their player embed feature, and from their site. If a media is not acceptable to be shared, it will be disable to embed. Like youtube has removed 100,000+ media from its database and restricts the ability to share content of some video clips.

Next time when you are about to announce something related to copyrights and license, make sure it has not been discussed about it in the first hand, before giving negative suggestion and false impeachment.
