This looks like an awesome mod. I have voted for it on MotM. However, I cannot install it until it allows for usergroup permissions and the ability to add forums to the favorites list.

Any idea when these will happen?

You can't if you don't see it in usergroup permissions it's in conflict with another mod, I haven't tracked which mod yet.

is it possible to show a message if user doesnt have a favorite (post,thread,user) yet?
i have tried to add it myself but i cant get it to work..

in vbfavorites_navmenu template i added a condition to show my message when user doesnt have a favorite (!$show['vbfavorites_fav_lastthreads'] for example), but i cant get the menu to show unless user has something in fav.

I think the .zip file on the server may be corrupt as I can not un-archive it! I have just tried other mods to download and un-zip and all are fine apart form this one. Is anybody else having the same problems?

Anyone know the code needed to manually add a link to "Add this thread" to favorites?- I don't have this option in my "Thread Tools" menu. I think it used to be there a few mod installs back but it just went MIA on me.. any help offered would be great.

Nevermind, I figured it out, for some reason "&" was getting parsed into "=dir=dir=",, weird ehh? It was only happening in my showthread template and only on 2 occurences- one of which made "Add thread to favorites" completely disappear...

what about the solution for the hook issue?

I'm a complete newbie with zero understanding of coding. I upload the php file to my server anduplaoded the xml file through the AdminCP product upload but I get no change at all. Nothing on any of the navbars even though the mod appears in vb options and appears to be switched on. The instructions for upload don't really explain what to do and I looked at the manual but it doesn't help much either. Can someone explain as if to a child how to get this working:o looks like a great addition to my board.

Installed on a 3.73 board and it does not work. The instruction manual in the zip tells you nothing as far as the installation goes. After install nothing shows up in nav bar. I then manually added the code in the nav bar templete. The Favorites link then appeared in the nav bar, but then the link was unclickable. I entered vbfavorites.php in address bar and was shown a page that I did not have permissions to view the page even though I'm the super admin.

This mod is well over a year old and I have noticed several others with similar issues as I have explained above, and still no resolution. In my opinion this mod is not MOTM material.

Permission to translate It to Spanish?

Every time i try to ad a thread to my favorites i get a 404 error

Since I'm running vb 3.8.3, I'm kind of scared to install this, as much as I want to. I don't want to get DB errors :/ I did install it on a different test forum I have, but I've lagged with updating that forum, and it's nothing like my live forum, so the fact it works there doesn't really prove anything. Also, I had to add the link to the navbar manually cos it wasn't showing up, and now I've got TWO favorites links in my navbar - don't know how to fix it, I dont see duplicate codein the template. Would totally install this mod if it were working for more ppl.

BUG: In the template vbfavorites_editor the form tag isn't closed. This breaks favourites if there are any forms that follow it on the page that also have a 'do' parameter.

Suggestion: Add some code to template_groups to say to trim down the entries in the template selection display.

For show Favorites in the navbar must put manually....?

does this hack work with vb blogs (can you add blogs to favorites), Can you make it so the users favorites can be viewed in his/her public profile?

I am on Snow Leopard. Using the archive app it was not able to be extracted. I tried Springy instead, (not a default app) and it worked.

not sure why, but thats how I got to extract.

I've tagged this in case it does get some of the mentioned updates such as user permissions and the ability to auto favorite certain threads for all users. Without those I really see very little benefit to adding it to my forum.

I have one suggestion: there should be an option to see other peoples favorites.

This could be on a user profile, so users find out great topics by browsing other user's favorite lists! (this should be optional, of course)
