Would love to say that this works, but sadly it does not.
The iframe.php page is not found (yet I can call it via browser and it's there). Not going to spend a lot of time debugging sloppy code, just going to say that this doesn't work.

The mysql error is caused by the false usage of the IMDB ID. To prevent that please use the IMDB ID without the tt letters!

"The Page can not be found" issue has been solved with the last plugin and has been confirmed working by users which had that error before.
You simple remove the plugin from your administration area and reupload it.

Important notice: Sometimes removing the plugin from the admincp doesn't get the table in th database removed, which should normally do. In this case remove the imdb table manually if reuploading does not solve this issue.

It's very easy to slander someone elses work, I always prefer to be more proactive and find a solution before I burry it in the ground.

As I always say, respectfully, make sure you have double checked all the steps and instructions.

I can put any of the formats above in and they work (using firefox),but good old IE has problems.[IMDB]0468569[/IMDB] and [IMDB]tt0468569[/IMDB] work fine, but not [IMDB]http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468569/[/IMDB] that ends up as a live link when copied and pasted..ie if you use any of the above formats and they are blue, underlined (live link) they wont work.

Maybe a suggestion to all to try it in firefox first to show you how the format should look before you try in IE,certain add-ons in (which can be disabled) IE browser seem to be causing,a couple of problems..So come on guys you should be checking different browsers being web masters! it's not only a mod for the browser you personally use,you have your members to consider plus you're helping the coder who's spent a lot of time creating this.

All in all works perfect,i may upgrade as there's not a lot of info on the lite version..10/10

I have a quick question. I made sure I did it 100% right. based of what you said to do. This is a great mod but it still seems to bring up a blank page when I wrap the numbers in the IMDB tag.

Now it could be my host just doesn't allow it (Godaddy) but my question is I can stream Youtube, GT, Gamerrroom and other Videos using a tag around it. I just don't see why I can use those but not this.

The mod does not work. I've said it, others have said it, author refuses to admit it, but it doesn't work.

IF the mod worked, then there would be no problem with it, and it wouldn't be trying to pull up some "page can not be found" error, it would not be doing things incorrectly, and (heaven forbid) users wouldn't have problems.

You can only blame the user so many times before you have to look at your own code man.

Well wolfstream, I wish I could make everybody happy, but unfortunately that seems not to be possible. Some of the users got it working, some of them not.

I did my job, until the next release I'm done answering to the same questions.

Ok the question i have is if I can stream videos from youtube by using the URL. Does that mean my hosting will allow me to do the same with this mod? I will redo this whole mod and record myself doing so (Edit the video for my password safty) and show you what I'm doing so you can tell me what I"m doing wrong. Because I felt I did everything right.

So my question is. Since I can pull videos from youtube, how come I can't pull info from IMDB? Is my Allow_URL_Open set to OPen on On since I can pull videos from YouTube?

I just got of the phone with my Hosting company and they said that the allow_url_open is set to Enable by default. So that is allowed. I really like this mod and if we could get it to work I would like to talk to you about upgrading to your other IMDB mod that shows the DvD cover and other info. So could you please help me.?

I called my Hosting and they said that the Allow_URL_ON is Enabled at Default. I can stream Youtube videos and other videos, along with a Gamercard in my postbit for my members that play Xbox... So please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

It is your job to support your users here, and figure out why your product works sporadically, so you have absolutely not done your job.

The fact is that this hack doesn't work, and you, the author don't want to spend time getting it to work. That's fine, just say so, but don't criticize people who have followed the instructions, still can't get it to work and call the code just what it is, sloppy.

This plugin has a lot of potential, but with your own attitude, it's not even going to get off the ground. Find the problem and fix it, don't blow it off like it's nothing

At default, this project does not work at all. Just because it works for some doesn't mean it works.

After going through the template, the reason why is very clear. The usage of $bburl is incorrect. Oncce that's corrected, it (kind of) works, but there are still massive holes in the project, such as files in imdb/ that aren't linked to properly, and numerous others.

End of the day:
This project is NOT worth the time of day, and the author's attitude toward providing support is horrific.

Yup, that's because of the improperly used $bburl setup. Maybe now the author will actually listen when people try to post problems with their hacks.

it works once you hve all the kinks ironedd out, but you dont get enough movie info to even make it worth the time wasted setting it up. contacted the creator to ask about purchasing the pro vesion and received no contact whatsoever. Dont waste your time, the creator doesnt care. I found an alternative on vbulletin.org turkey. install instructions are in turkey, but once translated its managable.

I'm tweaking the plugin using a new version of the source IMDB code and making some changes. So until then I'm not comfortable giving it to anybody.

I'm not avoiding these messages I just don't see a point repeating myself.

You're best off uninstalling the mod, the author isn't going to acknowledge this error.

This error is because of inappropriate use of a certain variable in the system The author refuses to correct the mistake, he's been notified of it for a while now, and basically doesn't care.
