same here! i did install it last week i did try reinstalling it couple of times but i was thinking its supposed to be empty :)

please advise.

KW802 02-28-2009 05:55 PM

... and you guys with the white pages are 100% positive that when you imported the product-v3arcade.xml file into your products manager, that there were no issue?

Rather than selecting "ACP => v3 Arcade => Settings", try "ACP => vBulletin Options => Arcade General Settings" as they both point to the same place. If you don't see the "Arcade General Settings" from the "vBulletin Options" listing, then it means the product was not fully installed.

That means your account over at v3Arcade.com should still be there with the branding free license associated with it. If you have problems getting into your account, send me a PM somewhere and I'll take look.

Many thanks :)

Having trouble installing games from the official site, I get an XML error.

Also how do I remove branding free now, I see that in my V3 site control panel my branding free is intact :)

For the XML error, check to make sure all of your arcade related folders are writable (chmod 0777) during the installation process.

For removing the branding, check here.

You don't have any of the associated {gamename}.php files at all?

GoTTi 03-05-2009 12:40 AM

no ;( i lost my backup drive so im left with just the swf files and the images....am i screwed?

pyro1082 03-05-2009 05:22 PM

Ok so I jsut tried to upload the xml file to my forum. I then get this error.

Warning: require_once([path]/includes/class_database_analyse.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/admincp/plugin.php(1995) : eval()'d code on line 3

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/pyro1082/domains/ptinvites.com/public_html/forums/includes/class_database_analyse.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/pyro1082/domains/ptinvites.com/public_html/forums/admincp/plugin.php(1995) : eval()'d code on line 3

Anyone know why?

Ljusya 03-07-2009 03:28 AM

Great! I like v3arcade more than ibproarcade But i have some problems with games - If game contains folder "gamedata" - it`s not work :-( This type of game is not supported?
And question yet - i have big collection of games, but i don`t know - it are v2 or v32 or v3a?

KW802 03-07-2009 11:44 AM

@Pyro: Make sure you uploaded all of the files to your /includes folder.

@Ljuysa: "v32" game compatibility will be in the next version coming up (1.0.9). It is in beta right now being tested. Note: The current IBP => v3A converter does not yet support converting v32 games; an updated converter will be coming later.

pyro1082 03-07-2009 02:12 PM

Ok, so this is what I did first. I took all of the folder called "files and added them into my includes folder. Then I tried to import the xml again and got the same error. Then I tried it like the install directions said. Just upload the files to my forums directory which i did. THen I tried importing the xml and the same error. So any ideas?

KW802 03-07-2009 02:34 PM

Please clarify... where exactly did you put the files?

In the zip is a folder named "files" and inside of that folder are several files and sub-folders. Everything inside of that "files" folder was to be uploaded to your forums folder, not your forums/includes folder.

In other words, the "arcade.php" file for example should be (*if* your forums folder is named "forums") available at /forums/arcade.php and not /forums/includes/arcade.php.

pyro1082 03-07-2009 06:16 PM

Ok, so my forums are called forums. I uploaded the files folder to my forums directory "forums" So in my ftp i see a directory called files next all my vbulletin directories, admincp, ext. So then once i uploaded that directory i went to my control panel in vbulletin and attempted to import the xml file. Then i got the error.

tyranny 03-07-2009 08:55 PM

You shouldn't upload the "files" folder, you should only upload the contents of the "files" folder. You should not have a folder called "files" when you look via ftp.

So if you board is at http://www.yourforum.com/forum/
your arcade.php should be here: http://www.yourforum.com/forum/arcade.php

Then upload all the files to their matching vb folders you already have

admincp files to admincp folder
images files to images folder... etc.

Hope that helps.

:)

Question: I just installed it, went into my usergroups to set the permissions, and discovered to my surprise, that they are in another language. Any thoughts about putting it into English?

Edit: It's all in a foreign language. How do I change it to English?

NEVER MIND: We'll just call that one a "Brain Fart." lol

This may come back to haunt me but... submit a Support Ticket at CinVin (http://www.cinvin.com) and I'll take a look. We do not have ticket system in place at the v3A site ("yet" for those wondering ;)) so that's why I'm asking that you submit it at CinVin. I'll be online late tonight so if I see the Ticket tonight then I'll get it tonight, else late Sunday night.

You can get additional games at v3Arcade.com. The games that come included with the zip and the games offered in the Game Shop at v3A are made available with their creators permission.

Whats the word on the IBP converter? I'm sure there are many of us who have been anxiously waiting...

Lahoria 03-08-2009 07:07 PM

just install this mod ... but when I click the link in navbar I get :

Quote:

Administrator, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

how do I get fix this ?

It is next up on the list but with some caveats. We have version 1.0.9 of v3A about to go public (just waiting on any last minute feedback on the current beta) and that will introduce v32 game compatibility. After that goes public I will be working on an updated converter while Brian is going through the code line by & line (literally) as well as the templates for some code scrubbing that he wants to do for the next release. The caveats would be that any IBP tournament information would not be converted (since v3A does not *yet* have tournaments) and I understand that IBP supports PNFlash games while v3A does not yet. After the next major release, there should be tournaments included so the converter will be updated again at that time. There is nothing on the drawing board about the PNFlash games at this time. I have started going through the PNFlash games API docs, but not to the point of testing any code yet.

So cliff notes answer is if people are not using PNFlash games & are not worried about converting tournaments then after 1.0.9 is released an updated converter will be worked on. If tournaments are a *must have* item then the converter released after the next major version will be the one to watch for. If PNFlash games are a *must have* item, then there is no ETA.

Where do I download games to vbarcade ? like yeti games

Biker_GA 03-10-2009 01:32 PM

Flawless installation, as usual. However, there's one item I'd love to change and it's been a minor pet peeve from day one. When one goes to the arcade, the "Random" category is default. I'd like to change this, but there's no option in the AdminCP to do so. An option to change the default listing would be much appreciated.

What the preference be to do the "All" listing or name an explicit category?

BlackJacket 03-10-2009 02:15 PM

Most preferably the all catagory.

Also the game Solitare does not post scores.

Biker_GA 03-10-2009 02:25 PM

"All" would be my preference. :)

If that is an IB v32 game, then that will be taken care of in the upcoming 1.0.9 release.

Access to the beta versions are only available to those with a Branding Free License. After any problems with the beta versions have been fixed, then it will be released to everybody.

You can likely try to recreate the PHP files, but you'll lose the game's information (eg: name, description, specified resolution, etc.). No chance of their being a database backup you can use?

Re-launch of which part of v3 Arcade? 1.0.8 has been released here, 1.0.9 will be ready shortly, and the web site has been re-opened for over a month a now.

tyranny 03-13-2009 07:00 PM

Quick question. I want guests to be able to play games in the arcade. So I marked "Can Play Arcade" in the not logged in usergroup permissions, but when I go to play a game not logged in I get this error:

"In order to play GAME NAME, you need to have a reputation of at least 0 points. Your current reputation stands at points. "

Tried changing the required reputation points to -1000, 0 and even leaving it blank. Nothing. Anyway to make it so reputation points do not matter?

Thanks!

This is an old bug.
Perhaps it can be fixed now in future versions *hint* *hint* ;)

In arcade.php find:
PHP Code:

$vbulletin->userinfo['posts'] = 0

Below it, add:
PHP Code:

$vbulletin->userinfo['reputation'] = 0

Hope that helps.
