I can only suggest you double-check your usergroup settings, I've not had that reported as a bug from anyone else yet.

You could try putting it back again, but I'm not sure if it would be any use even if it doesn't trigger a different bug. I'll be looking at what's cropped up so far over the weekend.

Have this program installed on 3.8.1
Refresh doesn't work in VB Ad of Forum ad When using Forum Ad and putting banner in between lists, banner appears one then it seems to want to rotate/refresh but the banners disappear (actually kinda cool) Documentation is somewhat sparse as I'm not, nor do I pretend to be a coder. But there things in this that is not understandable or easisly configurable
I am happy this is free, and would never actually complain, I'm just commenting on some things, it's amazing that people do this and share it and I appreciate every line of code you put in it. Just I'm a bit lost and want it to work all the way through.

Enable advertisements for usergroups:

I put it back to normal and it does the same thing. :(

and the edit problem comes back. so I had to re-do the vbseo fix

When I uploaded to 3.8.1 using default theme, it caused the topic page to become full width (usually there's a margin within the white wrapper, but this mod removed it)

I am trying to make it so that different ads will appear per different usersgroups. So if someone is in a certain usergroup - they can have a specific set of ADs for them, and another usergroup has a different set of ads.

Hi RedTyger,

First of, I just upgraded to 3.8.1 from 3.6 and this is the number one mod I fist install but... I am not really good with backups and working with unstable version and lol, I really did not like the work "disaster" used in your posts. Any idea/estimate when a stable version but be out? Also, if it does take a while, is it possible to use the VB ad management for VB 3.6 on version 3.8.1?

Hi, I installed this mod. Seemed to worked very nicely for me, but then I noticed that the width of showthread is too large. Default template has the same problem. What could be causing this problem, or better yet: how do I solve it? :)

You do can do this with conditionals, the appropriate condition is <if condition="is_member_of($bbuserinfo, array(1,2,3))"> where 1,2,3 are the usergroups you want it to apply to. More information here: http://redtyger.co.uk/manual.php?pro...a#conditionals

I was just covering myself with distaster :) I haven't heard of any yet. Stable should be a week or two. It should work on 3.6 but I've not tried it, so no guarantees.

It doesn't do that by default, but if you use a conditional in every adcode block it will have the same effect. You'll have to ask on vbulletin.com what the conditional is, I don't know it.

I don't mean to be rude but you haven't marked it as installed, you haven't searched for your problem first and you only gave a day to reply with help for a modification that is marked as unsupported.

I'm working on fixes at this very second, the issue in question has already been brought up and appears to be a conflict with vBSEO.

Would anyone like to volunteer their forum for a few minutes of bug fixing with vBSEO? I'll need full admin and FTP access and possibly vBSEO access too. I might produce a few errors while I'm working but it should be brief. PM me with the details if you'd like to help, please.

I had a helpful offer but access wasn't wide enough.

I would do so - but i have only German-Phrases installed - so it should a little bit hard for you to use it.

Sorry.

1. Unclear structure and instructions, version 2.x was waaaay easier to use. 4.x and 5.x is simply overengineered.

2. Tried to put ads on showthread only, each 15 posts. In the 2.x version it took 1 minute to configure vB Ad. Here I'd spent 2 hours on searching and... nothing found.

3. Brand free does not exist - uninstalled. Sorry, but due to "branding dream" of the coder my forum was hacked twice already. I do not wat to tell the attacker where is my weakpoint.

I thought feedback will be welcomed by the author - I see changes from 2.x to 5.x as negative.

Is everyone running this stable with vB 3.8? Just curious. I have vbSEO 3.2 and Vbulletin 3.8 installed. So I'm wondering if anyone is using ad management with that configuration.

Upgrading isn't as easy as a new installation, it is true. Unfortunately, it was a necessary evil.

That should be easier, not more difficult. Just go to the Posts section (Forum Ad Management add-on) and choose 15 where it asks you.

Sorry to hear it doesn't suit your forum. If the situation changes in that regard I'll let you know. I'm not aware of any vulnerabilities in anything I've done though.

All hook locations are listed in the auto-insertion dropdown menu with each adcode block. Any you add yourself are automatically included in the menu.

When this mod is enabled on my site it causes my forum width to be wider than desired but only on the showthread page. Forumhome and forumdisplay are normal. Anyone have any idea why this might be occurring?
