good hack, hope you add more support to free upload sites like sharebee hotfiles
it be more desiresome if u add feature to check links to prevent it being deleted

This mod works on your forum?

I installed it and follow every single instructions, it checks the links, and when it found dead links or anything, it doesn't move to graveyard.. :S

Its just saying File Found To be Redirected

Any help?

be great to have a fix for this so close to working properly

when I try and set DLC Configuration I get this error
Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /forum/admincp/dlc.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Thanks for the MOD but i have a trouble, i can't see this option in te panel, mi user ID is 2 this is the problem?

Nope any user ID would be able to see it as long as its admin, i tested with a different user and it'd still worked, make sure youve followed the instructions properly

Quick question, what happens if one of the hoster sites is down ? I've heard from time to time Rapidshare goes down, just the BOT just start sending all RS links to the grave yard ?

The bot is not sending it to the graveyard in any ways, though rapidshare and all file host are up, there's a bug in this add-on, in which no one finds a solution to this. :(

Hello! I did all the settings the plugin does not work I uploaded all files my webspace and than I have edited product.xml as username="my forum username" and I installed product later I did the settings for scheduled tasks but pm is not about dead links and topics with dead links not moved to trash and shows all the links are working but they have inside of dead links please help me.

I installed this hack and it is working, bot i see that the bot is cheking from 10 to 10 threads starting with the first threads of the forum (my forum has 3 years old) and the first threads are inactive since a looong time.
( I have more than 30,000 threads)

Is there any way to start the check from a specified threadid and only for a specific forum?

Same issue here. After analyzing the code of dlc.php, it appears that the issue is the remote file which checks the mime type of the URL. It appears to no longer work.

I myself have failed at all of my attempts to make a similar mime type detection scrip for URLs in a GET request (or any files that are not local for that matter). I'd prefer not to have to save copies of web pages for such purposes, as that would greatly increase the workload of the server during the cron task, and I feel it's unnecessary.

I wish this developer would update the addon to include its own mime-type detection that just worked, and stopped relying on unpopular/uncommon APIs that add extra requests to the cron task.

It checks all posts in a thread. This has been an issue for me, as some threads may contain several hundred links on my forum, and would cause it to time out.

However, to answer your question, it checks all posts within a thread.

Yeah, all it does is keep checking and said moving to trash, but nothing is being done, I recommend moving this to graveyard..

Mr. Gecko (the developer) has disabled this add on to where it doesn't validate anything as bad... If you would like this plugin to work, follow these instructions.
1 Make sure your php can use fopen to open websites.
2 Make a php file on your site and put this in it.

3 In the cron file, find curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL,"http://gecko.myusers.info/mime.php?url=".urlencode($val3)); and replace it with curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL,"http://YOURDOMAIN/YOURPATH.php?url=".urlencode($val3)); of course replacing the YOURDOMAIN and YOURPATH with the right data.

Mr. Gecko doesn't mind you using the plugin, but he does mind you using his server for checking things as it takes his bandwidth. Do not ask Mr. Gecko for help as this is all he is giving you guys... Please take to mind that this was written in 2007 and may have loads of problems still.
