Darkgardevoir 07-29-2009 09:20 PM

hey Cyb is there a way to only hide links and show the images?

tpearl5 08-04-2009 08:40 PM

For some reason that I can't figure out, thumbnails are showing as broken images to unregistered users. Anyone have any ideas?

Can it eventually be expanded to include vb-blogs too?

Thanks again.

This is exellent - I'm now trying to find a mod that will prevent more than X posts per X hours/days/weeks for particular forums. Any suggestions?

rrudeboy 08-13-2009 12:21 AM

i installed this, set it up that members with less than 10 posts can NOT post links -mainly to prevent them putting links in the signature, logged in as test user, 0 posts.. post a message with a link in the sig, and it still shows.. not clickable but still shown :(

is there anything i can do about it short of disallowing links in sigs all together ?

bojomojo 08-13-2009 08:11 AM

Hey,

is it possible to use this to give signature permissions?

sdavis2702 08-15-2009 08:24 PM

Someone mentioned it but it looks like they were ignored a bit... I'm sure by accident.

"For All Existing Forums" is taking me to a page describing smileys for some reason. Any clue why?

sdavis2702 08-18-2009 03:41 PM

Got it... thanks I didn't see your post up there NAZIA. I had to log in with the main admin account to do it. Good stuff.

Kadi 08-30-2009 12:56 PM

Hi,

We have temporarily disabled private messages and have set the number of posts needed to send pm's to "0". But it still shows up to members as needing posts to send pm's.

How do we disable it?

Thanks.

Mum 09-02-2009 04:50 AM

Would there be a way to use this for post count of 10 posts within the last month?

Is this Mod able to restrict user base on Thread reply .

Meaning the user can only view the Thread image after he Reply .

= if so this would really push the post count for the forum .

would be even better if can some who control and allow a few image preview and upon reply on the thread you get to see the full post . or hidden section .

possible ?

JacquiiDesigns 09-18-2009 02:38 AM

Awesome modification Cybernetec!
I'm using it exclusively in an attempt to prevent spam PMs/emails from new members. I edited the phrases to make it a bit more "kewl" LOL:

I like it though - Very nice work = Thanks so much for the share ;)

Is there an option for voting on polls?

We have a bike of the month poll every month and would love to ensure members aren't registering new names to drive up their votes.

A great hack. Wondering if there will be an update that makes the users post go on the moderation queue?

Kingdombuilder 10-24-2009 03:06 AM

Wow, This is what i've been looking for. I have a site that give away cell phone themes and i was getting people coming in and downloading the themes and taking off without registering. Thanks, I installed it and can't wait to configure criteria.

Kingdombuilder 10-24-2009 03:59 AM

I configured it, and it is working great!!!

Someone on my forum said that having a post limit for viewing images and links was the most insane thing they had seen in their entire life...

Then that's why you don't install the modification LOL or rather - don't use the images and links restrictions.

Different strokes for different folks. But I must say I agree in a sense anyway - I only use the modification for the PM restriction based on post count feature. It's nice to have the additional options if needed though :)

Jacquii.

Speysider 11-07-2009 07:42 PM

For some reason, installing this mod worked fine on my forums, and it gives the cyb apbopc page for quick editing.

But on Aquazelf's forum, it just goes to the page of smilies. Why is this?

Speysider 11-14-2009 05:32 PM

Is anyone going to bother replying?

zelnik 12-22-2009 02:03 PM

Ditto that, really need to know if there will be a version compatible with version 4.x.

I would also like to know if there is an add-on that can restrict permissions based on the number of days a user has been registered.

greenflag 01-03-2010 04:13 PM

i have them same issue - help plz.

DCX000 01-09-2010 05:46 AM

This would be so welcome and appreciated for my 4.0 suite. The ability to manage posting links by usergroup is a real problem for me. I am tempted to give it a try even knowing it has a slim chance of working.

spipo 01-16-2010 08:25 AM

I wonder if you have in mind upgrading this Mod to VB4 ...
It will be useful for blocking the increasing amount of spam which will affect our boards daily

BillieJoe 01-16-2010 12:32 PM

is there a chance to have the option that a user needs to have x posts in the past y days to view a forum?

for example, user a needs 3 posts in the past 30 days to view the sportforum or whatever.
even if he allready has, lets say 300, he needs 3 posts in the past 30 days or he just cant view the forum.

alper069 01-16-2010 01:03 PM

Good Mod.. ty

captkirk 01-17-2010 03:34 PM

This works very excellent thanks

sheep92032 01-24-2010 06:47 AM

This plugin is great, but it invites floods. It'd be really good to have a feature, or maybe a new plugin to let users only post so many times in x seconds/ minutes.

An alternative would be an Advanced Permissions Based on Time. But I think the former would be easier.

Deska 01-25-2010 11:31 PM

I'm waiting for version that compatible with vBulletin 4.
Thank you....

Valter 01-26-2010 12:15 AM

It's already in 4.x section.

antarvasna 02-08-2010 06:59 PM

As alwayz great mod by CYB. You are The Man

NetRover 02-19-2010 10:24 PM

Many thanks, this is an excellent product and very powerful for increasing a community and getting people to post. well worth the install.

Reza_Mk 02-23-2010 08:38 PM

Where can I set the number of post to see attachments?
There isn't any field for it? :(

Another thing is about using attachments.
Can I set some permissions to avoid user to attach before the post X posts?

lokash20 03-04-2010 08:48 PM

Insatlled. Very happy. Thanks! :)

Feature request - Assuming I haven't missed something - A log of failed attempts to PM/e-mail/whatever due to being blocked by this plugin would be useful.
