I have a general question about PayPal itself, I may have set mine up wrong, how did you guys set your PayPal up, did you create a business account, if so what kind (regular buisness, none profit, ect...)

Also, if your not using a business account, how do you keep your personal info from being displayed (real name, home address, ect....)

I set mine up on a regular buisness account, but in order to complete the donation transactions for our site, it ask me to print shipping labels, I'm not shipping anything and it wants to use my home address??? How do you guys do this?

Had a few problems recently, a guest was running a addon on firefox which checks sites (filtering good/bad sites) and in the process it made 950 attempts to 'donate'

This has spammed my e-mails, donation page and PM inbox.

Therefore I decided to block guests, however when you click on the link, it takes you to a FAQ instead of the permissions/login page.

Yes, I want to add donations manually who donated before I installed this mod.
All I see is No Donors blabla in misc?=donlist and when I select options I see sorting options but no other things.

I've not done any manual donations, but the only way that I get any names to pop up on the bar, is to confirm the donations that show up in the list.

I did a few test donations, not finishing the paypal portion, but my name appeared in the list. once I confirmed it via the donor page, it added my donation to the bar.

Judging from the comments, this looks like the MODIFICATION FROM HELL.

Why is it rated so highly?

It has only been on my site for 2 months and it works as advertised without much issue. It has helped me easily collect money over and above my operating costs so that it can cover dry spell months.

Having 1 problem. My Donation Bar is showing on all pages though I've set the option to show only on forum home. Any help?

The reason people are always complaining on the thread is because there is no reason to just write thanks. This mod has been working perfectly since the start and has allowed us to have many more donations.

However i now need more features from this mod, such as extra fields so that i can do more things. Could i be pointed in the correct direction. (Will also be posting in payed modifications)

The donation Link Isn't showing up in the NavBar. (Yes it is turned on in vBulletin Options)

It was showing until I removed The Calendar and FAQ links, and added a Home Link.
Now, it does not show.

I tried unintstalling then reinstalling, but no such luck. Any Ideas?

You can either add it manually, or put back original link to FAQ.

Put "index" in "Show DonBar on" setting field in hack options.

It was in the option Cyb. But thanks to you. The problem is with vB Optimise :S I disabled it temporarily and the donbar works as just like I want! Thanks again :)

I have a similar problem but it occurs when an unregistered user clicks on the donate link. I have it disabled for unregistered users.

Did anyone else have the same problem and even better found a solution for it?
I don't get anyone added to donation list after they donate.
That page just stays empty.

You are one of the main reason i bought this over priced source for many years i have seen your work and frankly i have never seen a coder who can produce what you have period.

Your work and your time here is much appreciated we have used your hacks and mods since
2005 upwards but now we've hit a problem and i just cannot seem to figure this out

The board i'm doing some work on was v3.0.4 they currently re-purchased a licence
taking it too 3.8.1 i did all the manual installs and upgrades to get this forum upto date.

i installed your cyb-chatbox worked flawless like all your work but when i come to install
the paypal donate it says installed fine no problems, the options are there in vbulletin options but no matter what i do i cannot get the $cybpaypal_donbar showing anywhere.

the misc.php?do=donate page works fine (might of wrote that wrong but you get the idea)
it's added all the a href links in the right places so all that currently works but i cannot get the bar to show anywhere.

i've tried adding $cybpaypal_donbar to forumhome/forumdisplay tried adding it to
header, tried adding it to footer hell i've been all through the templates nothing shows.

Any idea why this isn't working has the upgrade from 3.0.4 to 3.8.1 caused this to bork?

i'll let you know how i went on but i have to say this

oh trust me it's not kind words for a coder you are my idol if it wasn't for you i can say that half of the people here in this mod community would of not bought vbulletin period.

i'm serious you are the one if the only reason i bought vbulletin back in the day.
why vBulletin cannot employ you as a coder is beyond me because 99% of your
plugins should be in the stock files they should be so mandatory and necessary

vBulletin would not be anywhere near as popular or their sales would not be
anywhere near what they are without your addons you have no idea just how many
forums and communitys use your plugins hell its the first thing they install after a fresh stock install or update

i know people many forum admins which will not re-new their licence until they see a
dedicated version upgrade come out from yourself then they purchase the licence

vBulletin owes you so much thanks and a future with them i know i'm not the only one
who has this view let me give you an example

someone else could come out with the most wanted plugin people would be
hmm... will it work will it do the job, you could come out with it put your name too it

and 10 to 1 just your name alone on the plugin means pure Quality.

Do you know what most people's biggest fear is? that you stop upgrading your licence thus stop
having access to the new versions of vbulletin to continue to make your updates as you have since 2005

vBulletin have no idea how much brown stuff they would be in and how many support emails would
be sent to them pleading with them to give you a free licence just because its you who makes this software worth the cost.
they would be shooting themselves so hard and fast in their own feet if they didn't allow you to continue supporting users.

Worked! it was that $20 that did the damage i changed to 20 and it worked.

Here's an idea:

Combine both the Donation Page and Donation List? I know when I want to donate to someone, I would like to know who else donated to make sure everything is legit. Having members see how much others donated and how many donated will be a great addition. Donation page layout on top and the donation list below. Donation list the latest 10 donations.

What do you guys think? Is it possible? How?
