First, uninstall the product. Then, check all your templates against the template edit text file to make sure all the edits were removed. If not, manually remove/change back the bits that weren't removed. Reinstall the v1.2 and then check all your templates against the ones in the template edit text file to make sure they were all applied correctly.

If that doesn't work, PM me with your browser type, version and whether or not you're getting any script errors and I'll see what I can do.

Uninstalled, for the third time... It seriously messed my templates. I'm going to have to do some manual edits now, because my moderators can't check any posts during inline moderation...

There were problems with the v1.0 uninstaller if you had made any other changes to your templates, which is why in the first post of this thread I recommended that you verify the template edits were correctly removed upon v1.0 uninstall. Not doing so can leave the edits, which will continue to break your inline moderation. ;) The most important one to verify removal of is the postbit and postbit_legacy <div> near the top of the template - that's the one that broke inline moderation and deleting single PMs.

Once you successfully remove the edits from v1.0, the installer for v1.1 and v1.2 are correctly designed to accurately add and remove the edits.

In the next day or two, I'll create a script that will remove the edits from all versions in the event you're having problems doing it yourself.

thanks for the update robwoelich,you know acually is good idea that you leave the older version of you mod cuz sometime you need to see wich files you upload or wich template edits you did i have the older vercion the 1.0 and i dont remember what i did ,it is posible for you to tell me or give me the txt of the first version?

If you do ever decide to look at the pager option, it seems like you have most of the basics with this mod, im more then happy to send you the old vb pager modification for you to install and see what it does.

So, it turns out my server was running some odd server software, I switched over to Apache though, and the mod works fine without a performance hit. :D

Gonna keep an eye on this one! :D

I've just released an update to move this up to v1.3. I've also renamed it, as it's original name was with a different style in mind. :p

This update improves efficiency and adds AJAX username suggestion. It also allows for compatibility for vB versions before 3.7.0. The biggest improvement is definitely the template edit improvements. A lot of the link code was moved to the plugins that enabled the PM links, so templates weren't edited with as much stuff and therefore don't get messed up as easily now.

I'll add some instructions on how to add the popup PMs to a PM link outside of the ones that have been pre-configured with the installer on the first post of this thread. The installer gets all of the ones I know of that are default to vBulletin.

Let me know if there are any issues with v1.3, but it's getting to be pretty stable. :)

Do you think.. in a future version.. you allow ' quote pm' and have a pm quoted?

Is it me or in 1.3 leaving the "Usergroups That Can Use Popup PM" empty doens't work like it did in previous versions? The popups only show when the usergroupid is in the box :P

And also by leaving it empty does it mena that guest it loads for gests too? (even though they can't send PMs)

No worky for me.... Disabling it for now till I find out why...

After I close the PM window, if I click another PM link on the page, the window comes up blank. Once I refresh the page, it works again.

If you have "Show Miscellaneous Options?" set as No, then even if the user has the "Save Sent PMs" enabled in usercp, the PM won't be saved in the sent box. Basically because the <input> field is inside the conditional, and I guess that vBulletin interprets the missing info (blank) as zero

You should be able to add a hidden <input> inside a conditional (or something smarter) to fix it :)

My users love the feature though :D

After a little more testing, I determined that the problem is only happening for me in Firefox 3. IE7 works fine.

but the pop up window starts off at the set size in the AdminCP but then it goes to full page

Nice Add-On, but i have a Feature-Request... You can add a Button "QuickPM" (for popup pn) ? and "Send PN"(normal PN), i find its better, on my forum not all member loves this feature, oldskool pn writer :D..

I would like a copy of the pm to be saved in the sent items without displaying the miscellaneous items. 3.8 has this ability with the quickreply function - it looks at the user's preferences to see if the message should be saved in the "sent items" folder.

Secondly, I have a pager system installed on my site and if I'm composing a message with the popup pm and someone pages me for chat (ajax), the layer shows up UNDERNEATH the popup private message layer. How can I get this to show up on top of the popup layer?

Finally, I would like to extend the popup pm to outside of the forum folder into the root folder where I have vbadvanced installed. Will this work? How would I get this to work outside of the root folder? Thanks.

For those of you having issues, are your sites heavily customized? I wanted to test this on a pretty stock install of vBulletin. Do you think that it should be okay?

Is not working with IE at all. I click on any link my forum have like the editors buttons ect... and it will come out the PM pop up. How can I fix this problem? In Firefox works like charm

After i send the message the the pop-up text editor box doesnt close. I clicked on the close (x) but nothing happens

How can i make it close automatic after i send the message?

Edit: One small bug, when in IE and you click to send a new PM to a selected user it says at the top the name but in the recipient box it's blank?

Will the recipient get a facebook style popup when the he receives a new PM?

Ok, I WAS loving it lol but when you selected send "so & so" a private message it would say in the title who it was too but recipient username was empty. Simple copy & paste IMO but too much to expect my members to do ;) so, sorry for the un-install.

If you find a fix please let me know ASAP and possible branding free version here if so :D.

I think I may have stumbled across a bug with this add-on.

This morning I noticed that there was a problem with our forum. There was a blank page appearing after new registrations being successfully submitted, instead of the "Thank you X, your registration is now complete" etc. message. The accounts were still being created regardless of this blank page, but it was causing a couple of our forum's other hacks to cease working - in particular the Intro On Register hack.

Anyway with a bit of testing, it turned out to be this hack which was causing the blank page after registration. I disabled it, and everything started working again - including the hack mentioned above. The blank page issue disappeared. It makes sense, since it had been a couple of days since the issue started happening, and also a couple of days since I had installed this hack.

I am not sure what the link is, however. It might be worth looking into? I would do some more testing however I am pressed for time today as I have to work this afternoon.

I'm more than happy to provide any other info you may require, though :) I have to leave this hack disabled in the meanwhile so hopefully there's some kind of fix that can be found for this issue.

I have the same issue but for me it's when users do not have to activate their e-mails.
