hi, i love your skin.

i have installed it by uploading from my computer, as i am too much of an idiot to figure out what the path should be to import it from my server. i followed the instructions as to how to put it on my ftp server, but i am clueless after that. there are no buttons in the bottom of the posts or in the top of the quick reply box, just the text. if it were imported from the server, would this correct the issue or is there something more i need to do? this is my first attempt at a forum or site for that matter.

any help would be appreciated.

If you right click were the image should be and goto properties you will see where it is looking for the image at. All you should have to do is place the images in that locations. However I could be completely wrong in understanding your post in which case the designer should step in.

I never said i didnt like it. Infact i do like it, I asked for support and he refused because his shit was ++++ed up. So once i found the problem i fixed it on my own and modified the link to show not only he was the designer but also that i fixed it... Its not my problem he refused to help.

well i am confused even more. i look at the files and the images look like they are where they are supposed to be. i am clueless. maybe i should just uninstall and leave the forum generic before i really screw something up. all the instructions on installation say to upload it to the server then import it from the server, but for some reason i cant get the path right or dont know what path i am supposed to put it in. so instead of importing, i did the upload xml file from my computer. everything looks good except for the edit message, quote, multiquote and quick reply buttons do not show up in the posts, just the text. also, the buttons in the quick reply box do not show, like remove text formatting, bold, italic, underline, etc do not show, only the text. so far everything else looks right. i just dont know if the import from server would correct this as opposed to upload from computer. :confused:

Try changing the paths manually. Goto your admincp > styles and templates > style manager then in the drop downbox goto StyleVars, you should see the path to the images in there.

I converted this theme to orange except with the PSD im having trouble getting the repeated blue lines bars to become orange and what I should name them. http://www.topnotchclan.com/forums

The repeating blue lines is another image located in your "misc" folder called "header_repeat.gif"

You said this was on your local computer? Or is it an actual website host?

I have almost finished the update to this. Will be released later tonight.

You upload the 3.81 template files to your /images directory and overwrite all of the old template files, and then you go to AdminCP, styles and templates-download/upload styles, and find the style XML for 3.81, and select merge into style dark_vb, upload it and your done.
All of your banner editing can be done in your header template. I do not really understand what you are specifically asking for to be honest.

The email.gif in images/editor isnt really in the zip, its file size is 0kb, can you replace it with the real one?

I have a few questions about this style:

1. Where is the dark_vb.gif or dark_vb_bg.gif located in the templates? I want to modify them in the templates but i cannot find them.
2. Also, you know the really thin blue border line that surrounds that borders the navbar and the forum section names? Where is that located? Is that an image or is that in the css?
