This would be fab for 4.0! I would try to work on it but I am soooo busy with my day-time job (11 hour days) or else I would try and figure it out.

Any word yet?

Bump.
BTW, this mod is the only thing stopping me from upgrading to 4.0. |
I have fixed the code and I am working on "prettying up" the templates so that they don't look like garbage (since the old templates use tables and stylevars that aren't valid anymore).
It requires slightly different changes in the functions_editor.php file and various fixes in the plugin. I don't know what to do with it though, can I host it somewhere or do I have to upload it here or what? edit: I'm not quite done yet, there are a few kinks to work out in the plugins |

I decided to style it by pulling in the buddylist.css and styling it with the same kind of cells as the vb4 friends/buddy list, because I didn't want to go and make my own styles.
I'd say it's about 95% done. How would you guys like me to go about releasing this? |

Or would it be better to post it on your own site? |

El Bumpo.

This works perfectly in version 3.8.5
|
Any news on this for 4.0 yet?

None yet. |
I have pressure from my members on this.
|
This stopped working on my 3.8.4, didn't notice when exactly- nothing new on my end that caused it that I can figure... will try reinstalling.
Edit - My bad, must have been out since the last upgrade... just had to redo the edits in function_editor.php. |
Fungsten, I thought I sent you the mod? Either way, vB will not let me post the fixed mod here. Anyone have any ideas? lol

Will this be updated to vb4?
|
Anyone notice the link to "More" smilies is gone on the Reply page after upgrading to 3.8.5? When I put the original functions_editor.php file back it works, with the edits it doesn't... I used a text file comparison to 'merge' the old changes into the new 3.8.5 version of the file, maybe that was the problem... I'll remake the edits manually to confirm.
EDIT- Nevermind... When I redid the edits manually it worked again... weird... first time I've had a problem 'merging' in changes with a text file comparison software. |

All I did was remake the edits in the file again from the original instructions, like I was doing a new install. Upgrading over-writes the php file so you need to remake all changes.

Will this ever come to vB4?
|
has anyone tested it, will it work on 4.0.x ?
|
Looking at the code there is no way this could work for 4.x - there are a number of template edits and the code is vey different.
|
I could also be one of your guinea pigs on testing a beta version you guys are working on it.
|
Really a shame we can't get this for vB4
