also with new Version not work

And replace with
ie, add the ';' to the end of the line!

... although the chat is still not working!

thanks for the file . it seems that this file belongs to IE explorer , and that the messenger is using ie explorer to load the avatar , if you don't have ie7 , this file may make you some problems . thanks for sharing ... fixing

Looks very much like my old with with everything that it does and that, but nice to see someone taken over the idea and made it pc based.

How secure is this mod? Is it sending the login info plain text or is in encrypted? Is there any storage of the user info, ether on the client computer or on the server outside of the current VB databases?

Before I even think of offering something like this to my users I want to make sure I am not opening a major hole that could jeopardize there accounts.

issue:

when i click on Inbox and Sub buttons on the messenger, its taking me to http://site.com/private.php, it should be taking me to site.com/forums/private.php

actually all the links out of the messenger are not going to /forums/ directory. they just goto public_html only.

Getting the error: "The procedure point_wtof could not be located in dynamic link library msvcrt.dll" during installation.

Installing on Windows 2000 - I have IE 6.0.

application issue:

when im in contacts and i click on the radio button for "online only" its staying on that if i were to then click on my browser then go back to the messenger, the radio bubble goes back to everyone for online status, but it still is on "online only", then if i click again on IE it goes back to the list of everyone. its not staying on "online only" as my clicked option

wow this is ur first mod on here. thats cool for your first mod and you just possibly made the best mod on this entire site.

this mod is secure , it send the password already encrypted (better than a browser anyway) , there is a storage of the user information ONLY if the user clicks "save my password" , no other storage on the database , it reads and verifies the user directly from the vb database .

2 solutions
1 - creating a subdomain forums.site.com will solve the problem , but you should move the vbmsngr from public_html into /forum insode the public_html and the login will become @forum.site.com

2 - wait for the next version soon

this is a strange error , maybe caused from the installer which we did not code , anyway thanks for the feedback , we are trying to resolve this problem too .

if there is no one online , the radio button will change to "everyone" automatically , we will check this problem anyway if there are any online contacts and the switching is still done , thank you for the feedback again :-D

I am having the same issue where the Send PM / view profile / inbox / subs and goto forum buttons goto the root domain instead of the subdir I have vb installed in. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it would also be nice for it to parse BBCode in the last 10 posts....

and the bbcode in the next version won't be parsed , it will be erased to show plain text , as the list control does not accept any styles .

This looks pretty cool! Nice work :) Too bad it can't be customized without special arrangements... Is there no way to pull values from the site's CSS to style this? Would make this mod a lot more attractive.
