tuaguild 10-18-2008 06:52 PM

New site up for theme. go to http://www.vb-pbwow.com for the forums and stuff well thought i would let you know i will release an update as soon as possible

janpetterdale 10-19-2008 01:42 AM

tuaguild 10-24-2008 12:45 AM

Obviously you did not read the readme file enclosed with the skin. I do not provide support to anyone who doesnt read the readme. THIS IS NOT A JUST INSTALL AND GO SKIN IT IS IN BETA AND THERE ARE BUGS ALSO THERE ARE MANY STEPS TO GET THIS SKIN TO WORK PROPERLY IN VBULLETIN THEY ARE ALL IN THE README.

Sarvoth 10-25-2008 04:10 PM

The site listed in the readme file to get the updated functions_forumlist.php is not working.

is there somewhere else I can get this?

tuaguild 10-25-2008 05:15 PM

tuaguild 10-25-2008 06:06 PM

new version posted on my support site http://www.vb-pbwow.com thanks guys for your support

janpetterdale 10-25-2008 07:08 PM

Heya.

I would have posted on vb-pwow site, but it's down at the moment.

I have upgraded(installed) to the latest version. The voting on polls does not work properly,
like before. If you like, I can provide some information around this, unless you are already
working on a fix :)

Thanks

tuaguild 10-25-2008 08:20 PM

The site is up now and i have not worked out the poll problem yet. I need as much info as i can. I am working on getting a staff to the site that can work out all bugs of the skin and provide support for it also. msg me on msn at tuaguild@hotmail.com or on yahoo at darthice16

tuaguild 10-31-2008 03:13 AM

I am working on a massive update to vB-PBWoW i will release a new version as soon as i get it done. It will make it easier for me to add more styles and easier for you to make a custom version of the style. Check the status at http://www.vb-pbwow.com

Heya.

Where did you upload the image files?

The image folders from the zip files should be uploaded into /forumroot/images/*
If you go to your website and right click an image, select properties, you will see where it
tries to locate your image files. Make sure that your webserver has the images stored at
those locations.

If this does not help, please post a link to your site so I can view your problem.

Thanks

forumrunt 11-18-2008 07:08 PM

this is very confusing but I love it. I am uploading everything in order and it is not showing anything really

Gamelobby 11-19-2008 04:21 AM

I just want to use this in one forum section (a WoW section) Is there a simpler way or how will all of this stuff work if i only have it enabled in one little section.
Not CMPS, Not Forum home, nowhere except a wow section of the forums..
Will this be a problem, should i just look for a simpler theme.?

Thanks for any insight.

tuaguild 11-19-2008 09:50 PM

go to my website for an alternate version of the skin that uses vbulletin's styles changer.

Gamelobby 11-20-2008 04:08 AM

I tried.. i cant navigate that site for shyt.. lol

tuaguild 11-20-2008 09:01 PM

it isnt that hard you just go to the appropriate forum

OblivionMage 11-23-2008 01:03 AM

Very well done.

forumrunt 11-23-2008 04:15 PM

Odd I downloaded this to install I went over to the support site but now I am getting this e-mail
Quote:

Anyone just downloading the styles and not getting a license will be banned. You need to download the CORE Files before downloading the style.xml files.
Please do this. I am sorry for having to charge for the style but it is only a small amount and it is due to lack of funding for continued development.
Thanks
Lyco
So is the style not free we actually have to pay for it? I am confused.

burridl 11-26-2008 09:39 PM

According to his site the cost of running his server and time means that we have to cough up ?10 for it. Not too bad a price imo. It looks good but there's still a lot of work to do. A number of images are linking into descendanthq.com instead of the hosted site and the formatting goes mental with IE7.

A good effort though and this shows promise and shows how versatile vB is :D

tuaguild 11-26-2008 11:53 PM

the style here on vb.org is still free it is versions 1.08 and up that are pay any version before that is still free. And the style is now called the Death Dealers WoW Skin due to curcumstances beyond my control

tuaguild 12-06-2008 10:25 PM

Skin is free again from my site. Also updated version available from my site

tuaguild 12-07-2008 04:20 AM

I am looking for vBulletin coders/designers to help with development of this skin. I have a few issues that need to be worked out in the current release and i need to update the skin to use the updated css files. Go to my site and pm Lyco if you are interested

UOQuest 12-10-2008 05:07 AM

This would be a rather nice theme for vB if it didn't have all the hacks. I realize what it is you're trying to accomplish but I really suggest making a second version of this style that installs normally without having to go through so many complications to install the hacks.

I paid for vB because I like vB and if I wanted a replica of World of Warcraft's forums I'd simply go to their website.

This is the best post I've seen about this style.

Thanks away, ill skip this :P

tuaguild 12-13-2008 01:39 PM

Honestly its not really well its not feasable for me to make a second version without all the hacks/template changes/product installs/forum arrangements. This style is very extensive and i would have to recode the whole thing from scratch and since i barely have time to code this one that isnt happening.

mmotp 01-13-2009 05:05 PM

If the graphics are taken from the wow official site, is there any legal ramification by using this skin?

Idawg 01-14-2009 07:17 PM

Yeah, I will actually install this when they come up for this clean for vb3.8

tuaguild 01-14-2009 09:16 PM

i have a few people that have the newest version installed on 3.8 and it works fine. I am working on an update but it kinda freaks out Inet Explorer but works great in firefox anyone who knows coding is free to come to my site http://www.vb-pbwow.com to help Also no there is no legal ramifications of using this style unless you try to make yourself off to be Blizzard or you delete the copyright info i posted in the footer. You can make the footer copyright info shorter but IT HAS TO HAVE SOMETHING SO BLIZZ WONT SUE YOU

Datenpapst 01-26-2009 02:42 PM

Really a great style, but to difficult to install. :(
a pitty. maybe you can transform it into a normal style, so that b00ns like me can use it too ;)

Thamelas 02-03-2009 08:55 PM

Can this style be installed without screwing up my current vBulletin install and previously installed themes?

Depict 02-10-2009 12:55 AM

When i was hosting a Guild forum, I set this theme up.. Quite painful (spec the pdf in weird font) but eventually with tinkering and ripping out some lumps of hair out it worked well and looked great.

Great theme but make sure you follow the instructions otherwise your doomed.

Good to see a new version is out.

Keep up the good work :)

PGAmerica 02-21-2009 06:11 PM

I got this installed, however, it went wonky when I installed the 3.8.1 upgrade. Is there an update to this style?

PGAmerica 02-25-2009 06:10 PM

So I guess there is no support for this anymore?

Cloudrunner 03-09-2009 04:41 PM

Head to the official forums for this style / mod.

http://www.vb-pbwow.com/

tuaguild 06-02-2009 12:20 PM

go to the site for support currently i am looking for help coding if you have any updates or fixes post them to the site and i will post it as an official release.

cynthetiq 06-20-2009 02:24 AM

I tried to do this and am no slouch in the mod department. I've done mods for vb 2.x - 3.x (before there were products and hooks) I've even done phpbb2.

But for some reason I just couldn't get this working right.

It's a very cool mod. I'd like to have it for someone's guild vb, but it won't be at this time. Maybe in the future.

tuaguild 06-22-2009 08:24 PM

you would have to download the package from my site for the newest version due to the time it takes to update the files
