How to remove that extra comma "," after each fake username? who is online also needs to be faked.:)

You are world's most stupid coder. If you can improve this hack why were you sleeping? The one which you released is a lot better that the original one. Please start a new thread and post a real and updated one with all the solved Problems.

Ignoring the incongruity of calling him stupid and a Hero in the same post, you can't post someone else's work in a new thread just because you make some changes to it. You have to get permission from the original author first. Instead, he can post it here in this thread, which I'm sure was his original intention.

This is a good hack but does it not look a bit silly if you come back to the same page 10 mins later and the same number of members are online ?

Could it not be added to the code that every five mins or so the number of members change ?

This mod does not give true or not in VBA in online.php

i dont need fake users byt this hack needs..

1st.online status for the fake users.(profile postbit and everywere)
2nt.update the last time user come online (maybe someone see the date on profile)
3th.online.php must saw up the users
4th.the users now in every refresh its different

Adding more than 1 usergroup to be shown would be nice. Right now it will only show the default usergroup id #2

never mind I can fix it up for anyone that needs it or I can make another version and tell you how to add your own usergroupid's.

This hack is of no use. It should be moved to Mod Graveyard.

Select User Groups <== this option is to choose fake users from any particular user group of your forum. Suppose, all registered members are in user group 2, then the fake users will be online only from the group 2 users if you select user group 2. And so, if all super moderators are in user group 3, then the fake users will be online only from the user group 3 if you select user group 3.

And guests will be as much as you will put the number.

Wish if were there option to select multiple user group for this. The option for multiple user group is given but not working. Anyway, nice hack. Please fix this one if possible. GOOD LUCK.

It's supposed to give the illusion that your forum is more popular then it actually is. Thereby luring potential users to sign up.

If are only fake users online Its also not o.k. Need different syntax for different falls and browsers.

What it did was to remove the double comma when I was online but when I was not logged in there would be no comma.

Maybe someone can help me with my other problem with this mod?

When I first installed this mod it would add the fake members that have been online to the Users active in the past 48 hours which is what I really liked about this mod.

But after I tried to fix the comma problem by re importing the xml file. It will not show the fake users in the Users active in the past 48 hours .

I think the Users active in X hours is a mod that I added maybe that has something to do with it but I am not sure, as it did work when I instaled this (fake user) mod the first time

and it did work when I viewed the site logged in but when I log out it shows no comma

Few suggestions/bugs:

• If a user is already online, it displays them twice.
• Can you make it so that, sometimes there are small amount of users online, and other times there are a large number of users online?

All you people that are yelling and calling this hack "useless" and whatever else...you all are looking way to deep into this thing.

If you have a small board that just started, the worst thing in the world is for a potential member to log on and see an empty board,

The best way to use this hack, IMHO, is to set it just to run a FEW guests.

Dont set it to run 100 guests and 25 members when all you have is 25 members total. Just use it for what its made for, To help the new and just started board look busy.

Now, with that said, you must also continue to work on your board and make it succesfull. Dont just sit back and expect this hack to draw in a million members without you doing any work.

Theres about 100 different threads here and at vb.com abnout how to attract new members..search....and read...and dont worry...if you really have a good forum....members will find there way there. ;-)
