Like many others i'd also love to see this mod working with an updated Event Forums mod :)

I've installed this on my National forum (I have to keep the old version on my local forum until the integration with the events forum mod is complete), and now, when my Alaskan members post an event, even when they specifically check that the time is in Alaskan time, it changes it to Eastern time.

Is there a setting I need to fix? The calendar is specifically for the Alaskan members,

I ve not yet installed this mod because I have a question.
In my forum we have many times discussions about the date of our event (for example a member's meeting) and i noticed in the description of this mod that If i change the date of the event all the RSVPs are deleted :( My wish would be to put a date and then that I could change it without loosing people who subscribed to this event.

The best addon would be to have a poll for the event, where I could ask which period or which days are the best choice for the people interested to come to the event and the fix later, the final date.

My english is not perfect hope you understand ;)

hi all , i have this problem.
i got 7 days event ,and users have to sign for each day separately. how can i make my user set the RSPV for all the duration with a single click ?
(exe : i set YES at the first day of the event and my subscription is setted YES for all the other days of this Ranged Event)

Any news on the development of this modification? There surely is a large demand for a full 'events <=> forums' integration. I'd donate to the coder who offers this.

I checked out the Nexia site and have to say...CONFUSING. Every thread is locked and it is not obvious where we should submit suggestions for improvement to the MODs. I tried posting over there and got my hands slapped. :( Guess I'll post here.

Nice mod, im at work right now so i cant install it, but i have a question. We dont use avatars on our website www.uwclan.co.uk we use our gamercards from xbox.com.

Basically all im asking is, is it possible to replace avatars for gamercards?

From this thread and related threads, plus from personal correspondence with other members, it is very clear that there are a large number of vb.org members that would like to donate substantial amounts to the coder that takes this project on.

I simply wouldn't do that because it'd be like shunning the original coder's hard work, and in their own thread, no less. Not only that, but then people would expect me to start supporting the unofficial addition, too. I don't think that'd make either coder happy.. :)

I would rather just get permission from both modders to take over the two mods. I went ahead and contacted them so I guess we'll see.

Nevertheless, I still have a lot of work to do anyway, so if they take a month getting back to me I could simply be improving it in the meantime. It'll be a key part of my website, so I won't be losing out on anything.. Just afraid of you all losing out, really.

Hello, all. It has been a long time since I have been here on vbulletin.org. Mostly, this has been because my work has been keeping me extra busy. But, let me see what I can do to get this mod up to date. To be clear, I am not turning over the modification to another coder, so any changes to this modification will only be found here in this thread.

Can someone sum up all of the changes needed at this point?

Just in case tmc doesn't see your post here, you might want to read this post in the vB Event Forums Thread that seems to summarize what he's fixed/modified.

I'll have to be honest and say I'm rather displeased. Even though I have not heard back yet from Evercraft, Farcaster feels he should still retain control over the Integration of the two mods. While I have no problems with collaboration this would either:

1. Require me to coach Farcaster on every single change I've made to BOTH plugins (This mod will never be able to work with the changes I've made to Event Forums, as is).

or 2. Send him the integration plugin in its entirety so he can release it as his own.

So, I'm afraid to say if I even do hear back from Evercraft, I may have to incorporate my own RSVP plugins directly into the Event Forums product. And what's worse is since I've already shared with him most of my original ideas for this mod, I would be accused of copying if both products were to have the same additions. So I would be discouraged from even bothering to release anything at all, and then we're back to where we started.

(Which was me simply redoing both mods in a personal capacity, since they both cause so many problems when working in tandem.)

And on that note I would highly suggest not considering offering integration anymore with the old Event Forums, Farcaster. The mod actually goes back further than Evercraft's involvement, back to 3.5 and maybe even older, and therefore is coded accordingly. I've changed so much at this point, that I don't even remember if everything is sanitized in the correct fashion. Not to mention the 60 extra queries on FORUMDISPLAY, and dozen on SHOWTHREAD.

Sorry to disappoint, guys. At least I tried.

I doubt that farcaster will back often enough to get the bugs ironed out... its too bad though... alot of developers treat their code as their babies so its rare for anyone to give their mod to allow otehrs to make changes... but its too bad... ppl shud not keep things personal... and treat it as a business and look at how the community would be best served...

if ppl are unable to support code... for whatever reason... work, family responsibilities... just release it... there are some (not me included)... that live for these mods... and die with these mods because of inactivity...
