Ok, it is now set to 0. I'll report back tomorrow to see if there is any change (fingers-crossed) :)

Boofo 05-18-2008 10:40 PM

Have faith. Not all my hacks are crappy. A good one slips through every now and then. ;)

okay, so i installed it once again with post cache to 0. i hope it works now

Jase2 05-19-2008 12:09 PM

Well, it is working with post cache to set to 0 :)

Although you still losing out as I won't have a cached post anymore.... =(

Boofo 05-19-2008 01:58 PM

You're not "losing out" on anything. I have never used post caching and have never had any problems. You are going to find there are more than a few hacks that won't work with post caching enabled.

taheri6 05-22-2008 05:28 PM

post cache is at 0, running 3.7 gold

This doesnt work for me following all included instructions.

it does have the '(Double-click PHP box to copy code to clipboard)" but guests are able to view qoute, code, php, html bb blocks.

Boofo 05-22-2008 05:35 PM

You must have post caching set to 0 for this to work properly.

taheri6 05-22-2008 05:40 PM

Sorry for leaving that part out, my post cache is at 0

Boofo 05-22-2008 05:51 PM

Has it always been set to 0? Or did you just change it recently?

KHALIK 05-22-2008 06:32 PM

installed,

Can you also include image codes to be blocked as well.

csalbuchi 05-23-2008 09:36 PM

I cant make it work. Tested on IE6, Firefox 2 and 3, but nothing, i still can view bbcodes as an unregistered user.

For extra information, I´m using vbulletin 3.7 gold, spanish languaje, Clean Blue Template and i dont know what kind of plugins can affect this hack.

Any ideas?

anestetic 05-26-2008 09:55 AM

dont work İE

Rajdeep 05-26-2008 02:45 PM

Not working for me using Firefox..

This is no use Mod...

Boofo 05-26-2008 02:52 PM

You're right. If I was you I would uninstall instead of reading the thread to find out why it isn't working.

Dont worry, I really like your other hacks, seems to me that you are doing a good work, so keep up with it!

Let me know if we can help you out with this issue. I have no experience at all as a coder, but I can help testing this and reporting what I see.

Cheers!

Boofo 05-27-2008 01:55 AM

Nothing to report as it works fine for me. You just have to set the post caching at 0, which has been posted throughout the thread.

csalbuchi 05-27-2008 04:03 AM

Sorry, I did but it still doesn´t work for me (testing with FF3)

Boofo 05-27-2008 05:48 AM

Do you have post caching turned off (set at 0)?

Rajdeep 05-27-2008 08:31 AM

How to set it to 0 ?

veenuisthebest 05-27-2008 11:40 AM

admincp->vbulletin options->Server settings and optimization settings->Cached Posts Lifespan->Set to 0

Jase2 05-28-2008 01:50 PM

Sorry, uninstalled. I prefer when I have post cache on, that way, posts aren't pulled from the database everytime they are viewed, thus less server intensive.

Boofo 05-28-2008 02:15 PM

If you want a db that has twice the post table size as someone who has it turned off, go for it. There isn't that muct difference in speed to warrant the extra db size to me. And you are going to find out you are limited from some hacks because of that. Good choice. ;)

Jase2 05-28-2008 03:16 PM

I don't think so LOL. I only pick hacks I need, and haven't got that many - no problems so far. I don't need any other hacks... :)

Boofo 05-28-2008 03:38 PM

To each his own. I wish you luck.

anantthakor 05-29-2008 05:43 AM

I am getting one problem.

same guest msg is also showing to registered users too, specially for quote msgs. :(

Boofo 05-29-2008 06:37 AM

Do you have your post cache turned off?

anantthakor 05-29-2008 06:42 AM

Dunno how to do, where to check/do ?

Rajdeep 05-30-2008 06:36 PM

this is just a hopeless Mod, must be moved to graveyard..

firstly - its not working in post having links on code tags, but working in signature....
And showing this message to all usergroup.. even me the admin .. lolz
Guests are not allowed to view code. To enable the
viewing of code, please click 'here' to register.

Rajdeep 05-30-2008 06:46 PM

WTF MOd..

I have even uninstalled the MOd, still in the signature code tags, its showing -

Guests are not allowed to view code. To enable the
viewing of code, please click 'here' to register.

To all usergroups...

And also showing this -

(Double-click CODE box to copy code to clipboard)

What a great mod.. messed up my forum...

Now help me solve it

Boofo 05-30-2008 06:57 PM

First of all, this didn't mess up anything. Rebuild your damned post cache!

The links have nothing to do with this. Did you even read the first post or install file? You need to uninstall it as it is too complicated for you to handle, I'm afraid.

Rajdeep 05-31-2008 05:25 AM

I have already uninstalled it... becoz its not working...
Its not hiding the code in post.. but hiding in siggy and that to for all usergroups.. Full of bugs..
I really need this Mod, I am thankful to you for making, but its requires to be fixed.. I hope you will launch new version soon

Sorry for being rude..

Thanks

Boofo 05-31-2008 06:22 AM

The link part doesn't make any sense as I don't handle links with this. It just hides anything between the tags for the 4 main bbcode templates. Other added bbcode is never touched. The only other way I can think of to get this working properly for you is to have you do the template changes manually on the 4 templates.

And you apology is accepted.

Rajdeep 05-31-2008 06:25 AM

Can you please tell me which 4 edits

Thanks

anantthakor 05-31-2008 06:38 AM

Yes Let me tell also :)

Boofo 05-31-2008 06:43 AM

If you look in the XML, it has all 4 templates edits in there. The ones that say boofocode are the ones. Or is you have it installed, you can disable it and look at the templates from the hack in there and use those.

nirvana43 06-01-2008 02:36 AM

its not working man!! i've installed this product... please visit www.projectsplanet.com
i tried both YES and NO settings but it still displays contents of BBCODE
please help :(

anantthakor 06-01-2008 02:44 AM

but tell me who to disable post cache

Boofo 06-01-2008 02:54 AM

Go to your vbulletin options under the Server Settings and Optimization Options. Set Cached Posts Lifespan to 0.

You guys really need to read the thread as this information has already been posted.
