Hey Cyb any help with this would be great?
I really need this mod, maybe I just need to edit the xml?

germinus 08-18-2008 06:05 PM

Like others in this thread I cant get this to work (after a week of trying) Are there any other mods that do the same thing?

dadoc 08-18-2008 06:32 PM

Like others here germinus it is hard to get support for this mod

Noctavia 08-19-2008 08:55 AM

Another one here that installed, check settings and have noticed no change. I notice there are a lot commenting on this problem and so far, no answers to it. ><

Installed the mod on both my 3.6.8 and 3.7 forums. This is a great method of showing a large number of items within a smaller area, for easier visual distinction.

Other than adjusting the forum order in the Forum Manager, is there a simple method or intended upgrade to this hack which will allow the admin to change the order display ...

from
1 | 2
3 | 4
5 | 6

To

1 | 4
2 | 5
3 | 6

The latter order follows typical user alpha order expectations better.

Thanks.

I would also like to request the ability to do this (or perhaps make it default).

smirkley 08-19-2008 09:28 AM

I use vb project tools.

Is there a way to have them show up under their specific forums but maybe indented?

Right now, they show up to the right of the specific forum, similar of how a subforum would have shown up in default vb, and it stretches my page out.

Thanks in advance, if anyone has a solution.

Noctavia 08-19-2008 09:35 AM

An alternative, which seems to offer the same things, plus the ability to sort different ways: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=181939

Having a play with it now.

dklassen 08-21-2008 10:48 PM

Still blows out the right margin. Any fix yet?

ParaWa 08-22-2008 03:31 AM

I like this add on, it's very nice on Forum, only no Last Post, Threads, and Posts columns (installed on VBB 3.7.2). Can anyone help me...? Thanks.

nick-harper 08-28-2008 11:36 PM

I also installed this and nothing changed :(

I am using a "custom" template.

Same here, I installed it and nothing changed. I have it set to 3 columns and have the "Depth of Sub-Forums" set to "1" . I'm using 3.7.3.

Any Ideas?

gfxhelp.com 08-31-2008 02:19 AM

Could we get a txt file of the changes maybe? Perhaps the reason the people with custom templates are having issues is because the template changes are not being made automatically?

Edit: I got it working was a stupid mistake on my end. I was wondering if anyone knows the name of the template for the subforum though, I want to add my RSS icons.

dadoc 09-03-2008 07:40 AM

I would love to have this mod but due to the problem with it making my page wider I can't use it

It is a great mod and it works perfectly besides that one problem I know that other members have had the same problem but I have not been able to find someone who has been able to fix this.

I have tried may times to ask for support but I cant get an answer, even if I can get an answer that maybe It is not possable to fix this problem it would be good. As I dont know whether I should persist with finding an answer.

Any help would be great.
The only problem that I have is that it makes my board wider

I don't understand why everyone is having problems with this? I have been using this since 3.6.x and upgraded to 3.7.x. Worked fine.
Upgraded the forum manager to the newest version as well. No problems at all.

For those of you having margin problems, you might want to have it not show post count if you have 2 or more rows. (If you leave the post counts, you will have a lot of scrolling problems.)

SPARKS MAN 09-21-2008 03:57 PM

Doing that does not fix that problem
I did fix my problem, all that I had to do was to change the last option in the vBulletin option > sub forum manager > CSS 3 - inner table (cells), all I did was delete this option.

I looked at not showing the post count and making it one row

Just because you dont have problems with it it doest mean that others wont

The problem with this mod is that there is no support for it
I have posted about 8 posts here asking for help and I never received one answer from the mod designer.

I thought that this is what this site is all about, providing mods and support for them,
most of the other mods I have had great support but for some reason with this mod support is only given buy others who have this mod.

Thanks for replying Baldilocks this site need more members like you

very nice mod, thank you . installed and Voted

Bram H 10-16-2008 05:50 PM

I am still hoping for a little update on this mod. A feature i would like to have (pure suggesting here :)) is that you are allowed to mask certain forum of which you dont want to display subforums at all.
At my board i would only like to display subforums of one category instead of all forums. Would that be something realistic to ask for or....?

LGKeiz 10-16-2008 07:12 PM

Cybernetic; Awesome, one issue, where is the CSS? because my forum is blackish,and..well..its white and blinding -

how do I fix that? I mean look here - http://gamingsync.com
