I got approved today, and it ROCKS!!!!!

However, I would love to request that there be an extra profile field that we can use. I have my members put their real name (We are a closed community), and a certain area that they play out of, and I would love to be able to see that in Woopra also!

Sal Collaziano 05-02-2008 06:16 AM

This is looking very, very interesting.. This is going to give the modern webmaster a very similar experience that the old BBS used to give us SysOps...

Darth Gill 05-02-2008 03:58 PM

i used to be a sysop back during the early to mid 90s. I am enjoying Woopra, and have LOVED being able to break into chat!

pete_brady 05-10-2008 07:06 PM

have they implemented a 10,000 page views a day limit?

txspaderz 05-11-2008 02:57 AM

Yep

            $woopra_joindate_phrase = fetch_phrase('join_date', 'global', '', '', '', $vbulletin->options['languageid']);

I will make these changes in the next release.

You mean being able to output their real name to Woopra? You just have to edit the template yourself as if it's a custom field, I have no idea what field number that would be. Just follow the syntax in the template for the javascript and it should be easily done.

I really like this product. It makes tracking things nice. One feature Ive found of particular interest is the "Manage" tab. Say you add something new to your forum and you want to track its useage or popularity. You can set an event for that page and every time someone views it, a popup with a sound (or without) happens.

For me, Ive been trying to increase traffic to our game wiki and trying various methods to do that. I use the event notification for real time reactions to whatever it is Im trying. Pretty good stuff.

rrr 05-12-2008 10:40 PM

How is the responsiveness of the woopra code? Any noticeable slowdowns on your site?

txspaderz 05-14-2008 11:46 PM

Everynow and than I'll get a slow down, but it's not bad at all

Inferno Dragon 05-16-2008 02:34 PM

lol at last I got the approval email after 3 weeks :P I liked the addon, very neat stats are provided by woopra, and thanks to the Shane Integration it becomes just awesome (I hope woopra service will remain free)

tpearl5 05-20-2008 01:42 PM

This seems really interesting. I like the idea of real time tracking.

I don?t like the idea of a certain company like Google Analytics having its fingers in my pocket at all time by not only providing traffic, PPC income, but also having stats as well. You really think they will give some beautiful stats for free? They will use your info and sell it to big companies like Microsoft etc. What I do with my site is my business, not their. If you like that, go ahead and use those services.

From their privacy policy: (http://www.woopra.com/privacy/)

At last, my site was approved. :D

FYI: the Options page says the following. It should be clientscript, not clientscripts, no?

LICryptkeeper 05-23-2008 02:13 AM

will this mod (or whoopra) increase loading times for my site?

I have 50k registered members and no less then 1200 on the site at any time.

Chewy954 05-23-2008 04:58 AM

The mod, since about monday has acted strangely. Members on my site reported if you clicked an external URL, your CPU usuage will go up to 100% and browser will lock up. I tested, it was true. Disabled a few plugins and the one causing it was this one.

Anyone else encounter this issue?

No - worked fine for me.

Not really.

Shane 05-23-2008 01:39 PM

I am compiling everything that I found in this post and upgrading it to 1.0.4 later today. Be on alert for my email. :)

Shane 05-23-2008 02:15 PM

Right now, I will not be providing the javascript file as it's being re-coded by the Woopra devs.

GoodKarmaKid 05-24-2008 11:40 AM

If anyone has an extra woopra invitation I would really appreciate, you can send it by PM.

I was excited to check this product out, then equally as dissappointed after downloading everything, setting up an account, only to find out I need an invitation to activate my site :(

Thanks,
Jason

Shane 05-26-2008 07:34 PM

@ Good: Hold you pants, they come.

@ All: I have 1.0.4 ready, but I am waiting for the new version of the Java App before releasing it as it is needed for the changes. :D

FlyBoy73 05-26-2008 09:31 PM

Have mine setup and working.. And I really like this!
Thanks for the hack!

dodgeuk19 05-27-2008 01:16 AM

Still " Pending Approval "

i signed up at start of may, gonna give it a few more days then give up me thinks,
shame tho really like the idea of this

Brandon Sheley 05-27-2008 01:50 AM

does it work on sub domains ?

When I had the java script in the footer it works fine, when I use this plugin I don't get any stats :(

Rocket 442 05-28-2008 12:23 AM

I've installed it, but for some reason my users names are not showing when I visit woopra. I've restarted woopra quite a few times, and tried all different settings in the options section but can't get it to work.

FlyBoy73 05-28-2008 03:50 AM

It is only good through 10,000 page views a day in beta stages... That does not last long for some forums... I'll look forward to when they get past the beta stage, or beta larger forums.

ptwiggens 06-01-2008 05:07 PM

It seems as if ever since I upgraded to 3.7.0 Gold, my stats are no longer working.

I have it on two different forums on two completely different domains. One is on a subdomain, and one is on a subdirectory... same problem.

The weird thing is that yesterday I was looking and it registered two of my hits on the live view, but then stopped working again.

Anyone have any ideas?

meenstreek 06-02-2008 10:35 AM

Just got this installed, it frigg'n rocks! I'm watching people surfing around my vB in real time heh. It's pretty crazy. It almost feels like voyeurism ><.

Ransy72560 06-02-2008 08:22 PM

I love woopra, have it on several site now..

Great plugin btw!

rootnik 06-04-2008 01:18 PM

I finally got my domain activated, only to find out it only supports up to 10,000 page views a day :(

This would be great for small communities or support systems. Sadly, they imply all over the place that this will not be free after the beta is over with.

Magnumutz 06-04-2008 01:34 PM

YAY, it just approved my forum :D

Mr:Ishi 06-04-2008 02:07 PM

aproved jst now

Shane 06-04-2008 02:57 PM

Updated. :)

Should fix problems and such. Be sure to download the new version of the application to get the full benefits of the new "workage".

Brandon Sheley 06-04-2008 05:38 PM

updated :)

Thanks Shane for the support on this mod

numsi 06-05-2008 06:44 AM

Hello all
First of all....good job....very usefully Tool.

I have only two questions.
Is it correct that the forwarded Url's to an other dosend work?Or maybe i make something wrong?
I have a Domain Name www.something1.com somewhere hosted and i forward it to www.something2.com. The www.something2.com is the live URL from the Forum.
Result no statistics in the first URL interface. The real works great.

And the second Question. The avatars not showed.
Have i to tell from where he has to take the avatars?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers
numsi

RichieBoy67 06-05-2008 10:32 AM

Can someone please post the download link for the client script file? This has slowed my site down big time. Google A does the sae thing. I think if switch to the local option as provided in the admin option my situation wil improve. The problem is that it asks for a file that is not provided.

I installed this yesterday and I still see no stats. Ho long does this generally take??

By he way- to everyone posting about waiting for approval-- It took a few weeks or mine so just hang in there and wait... This is all new..

Thanks for the mod.. Great alternative to google anlytics..
Rich
