why is it funny? :( what is vbportal doing to not need global.php? global sets up sessions, WOL, memberinfo, logins, the database....everything!

What can you do about my vB its pretty messed up in the usercp, In your profile i only have edit your details the rest broke since i installed the new vB.

the black link was your invitation system disabled, and the rest was cause you didnt enable them :) fixed up now

It is init.php that requires the class_core.php and sets up sessions, the database and also fetches the config.php file (almost everything). vbPortal has its own global.php ;)

you know what, for the sake of ending this tangent, i looked at how vb escapes from invalid cron file access.

i will be changing it to that :) unless vbportal doesnt have that??

Hi, i'm sorry i have a question (sorry for my english).

I would like to limit the albums for my users (and maybe also other functionnalities of the 3.7 rc) and use vbcredits to give them more possibilites. For ex:
- more albums
- more pictures per album
- more possibilities for their own profile
- later found a solution to give them a mail@mywebsite.com , discounts

It is possible to do that actually?

i have a minor addon in development which ties vbcredits into promotions, reputation, ranks etc. not ready yet either :) (lots of file edits for it though - theres no hooks for it)

rpg inferno is encrypted, so i myself would not be able to integrate anything with it. the developers of rpgi could. there is, however, a credits -> gil converter on vbcredits.com, but again currently impossible for me to make it use credits directly

Any idea when the full version will be released, as I wouldn't have thought there'd be much difference from the latest version, as Release Candidate 2 of vB Credits 1.4 is just about the best modification yet released for vBulletin... Or vB Commerce/Customiser, since those haven't had too many updates... and will they be released here or at vBcredits.com?

theres one major thing missing from 1.4 final, and there are some new set of bugs that have been found in rc2 as well, but thankfully mostly trivial and/or only affect unusual cases. otherwise its pretty stable, so i released it here. there wont be anything new in 1.4 final (hence the rc series :-p) just fixes.

as for vbcommerce/vbcustomizer, we probably wont release them here at vborg, but they will still be free (more information will be announced on site later). vborg staff also requested i remove the references for those hacks in the main release posts on vborg due to too many linkbacks, among other things. so.. you will have to continue to use vbcredits.com for news on those things now, sorry :-/

I'd like vbcredits, but I need a feature where users can PURCHASE credits via paypal and then use the credits to purchase a user account upgrade (vip), which would save going via payments.php

say, £10 ($20) gets 15 credits or something

i used to use the experience one which i had to edit the template for... and when i try to upload this new edit...i try uploading the .xml and i get...

yes i have already uninstalled the old one...

if you were using vbcredits 1.4rc1 with vb3.7, you had to change the bitfield_vbulletin.xml file.

however, when upgrading to rc2, you need to return the original bitfield_vbulletin.xml file before upgrading

My "Richest Users" is only showing 10 members, and all of them are member of Banned usergroup. How can i fix it?

first, go to the banned usergroup and select to "exclude from richest user list"

then, in the specialty settings, you can adjust how many members to list, default is 10.

alternatively, you could select to add credits to your memberlist in the memberlist settings, and in the memberlist it will list credits for everyone, and allow you to order by it :D (to create a toplist of your entire board)

Hi, I am new to vBulletin so please forgive my ignorance. I have vBulletin 3.6.9 and I just downloaded and installed vbcretits per steps 1-7. I did not add all the codes below step #7 in the instructions as I don't know what that is about.

After step 7, I see that vbcretics is shown in my Admin Control Panel.

You need to do the template edits as well. Oh, and why are you trying to install the 3.7 version on 3.6.9? There is a 3.6 version which is pretty much the exact same thing, and is actually meant for that version...

Thank you for the quick response. I thought those are the edits relating to stop #2. So I thought since my version is 3.6.9, I don't need to make those changes.

For I need to make those changes in all files mentioned. So for clarification, I need to edit those files and add the codes mentioned in the install menu.

yes, in the casino settings is an option for cash system. use the value: credits

Didn't see you mention anything about it here, but are you going to add any award features for social group activity? Like starting a group, getting members, ect.

Also, there was a mod released for social groups that adds a forum to each group who wants one, do you know if you are rewarded for activity in that sort of forum?

I personally think vB Credits should get a Premium Modification forum at vBulletin.org like ibpArcade and such like, since it has enough general popularity to rival more than half the mods last given a forum before they were archived, and has more use than a few portal systems (one of which was after a point not even distributed here), a warning system and other such point and shop systems...

well, i dont know about that. i have my own site for a reason :-p a premium mod forum would only attempt to reproduce the organization i have at vbcredits.com. last i heard about that vborg was moving away from doing that :-p but hey i would love the extra exposure! i dont even know how to go about getting one but anyway. thanks for the sentiments though :)
