I want just show only images in highslide.

Not linked images.

But this mod has problem with linked images.

jack bro 03-20-2008 09:52 AM

Will the modification be lost if you upgrade vbulletin?

Because when you edit the file in the includes folder when you upgrade vbulletin wouldn't you have to overwrite that?

Thanks,

Jack.

ZeroHour 03-21-2008 12:32 AM

I am getting a IE popup error on attached images.
The error says "Operation could not be completed" then it displays a IE7 "dianose a connection fault" error page.
When you click back the images work as they are supposed to but its a very annoying error.

Ideas?

Cheers

GoodKarmaKid 03-21-2008 11:30 PM

Thanks for the nice mod.

I know you've tried to explain a few times, but I guess I still don't understand how to exclude small images. I have some images that are only 50x50 or smaller, but when you mouse over them you get the little maginfying glass with the +.

This would also be a great addion to members allbums, hovering over them would bring up the highlside effect.

thanks,
Jason

malag 03-22-2008 10:51 PM

So nice! :)

Thanks!

ZeroHour 03-23-2008 04:57 PM

I *may* be able to submit a code fix to help remove this issue.

When I try to import the product after doing the php file modification, I get the following error message.
Code:

XML Error: XML_WAR_UNKNOWN_VERSION at Line 230
Any thoughts on what is going wrong?

BTW I am using 3.7.0 Beta 6 for now, but I am gonna upgrade once I get this working.

RvG2 03-23-2008 06:20 PM

version still shows 1.2.0 (just upgraded from 1.2.0 so it should show now as 1.2.2) :)

rizelim 03-23-2008 06:34 PM

extremesanity 03-28-2008 03:59 AM

This mod is awesome!

How can I speed it up though? On my computer its not as snappy as it is on the highslide site.

Tom_S 03-28-2008 11:56 PM

This mod js file is causing loads of errors with IE

MissKalunji 03-29-2008 12:12 AM

uhm no? it has to be you...I have it runing on 3.7 tested on IE Firefox and Safari and nothing like that wrong it could be something else like you forgot to close a statement etc

Tom_S 03-29-2008 02:30 AM

ummm. ..like no..are we talking in valley high talk? Use IE and look bottom left of your browser since you have script debugging turned off as most do. I fixed mine though. Nothing to do with me. It was the highslide.js file. :p

Want to share with the rest of the class?

Tom_S 03-29-2008 03:00 AM

I used my js from my photoplog
EDIT:
Since it is free to redistribute here the js is.

Really? Look for yourself honey. Like i said it had to be you...

extremesanity 03-29-2008 03:40 AM

How do I add this functionality to the user albums?

Okay honey. I'm not arguing with you. I gave an easy fix and if you don't want to use it don't. I suggest you turn debugging ON in your browser so you know what the heck you are talking about. Here is a graphic of YOUR website not mine.

Use the fix or don't.

Thanks

MissKalunji 03-29-2008 04:39 AM

that's a bug with vbadvanced not the script itself get inside the forum and see if you got the problem.

did you even look at what i showed you? the actual script in action no script error

anyways

since i don't know what im talking about

p.s who ever has vbadvanced outside the forum folder try this

(if you are using vbadvanced) is going into the template : hs_show

editing this line : <script language='javascript1.2' src='./highslide/highslide.js'></script>

and change it to : ./your forum path/highslide/highslide.js

The error was saying that it couldn't find the highslide script

Tom_S 03-29-2008 04:43 AM

I erased that nightmare of a rant. Sorry kiddo. Long day. You did good on the fix. My bad. I peeked over at your site again and it is by the way wonderful. Thanks for the tip on vbadvanced.

Tom_S 03-29-2008 04:54 AM

Was that the old js or the one I uploaded?

MissKalunji 03-29-2008 04:56 AM

no biggie thanks for letting me know i never noticed the error since i don't use IE

the old i didnt upload anything

Tom_S 03-29-2008 05:08 AM

Cool. I don't use IE either. I use Firefox. My members pointed it out.

extremesanity 03-29-2008 05:36 PM

Code:

<a href="attachment.php?$session[sessionurl]attachmentid=$attachment[attachmentid]&amp;
d=$attachment[dateline]" class="highslide" onclick="return hs.expand(this)" id="attachment$attachment[attachmentid]">

<img class="thumbnail" src="attachment.php?$session[sessionurl]attachmentid=$attachment[attachmentid]&amp;stc=1&amp;thumb=1&amp;d=$attachment[thumbnail_dateline]" border="0" alt="<phrase 1="$attachment[filename]" 2="$attachment[counter]" 3="$attachment[filesize]" 4="$attachment[attachmentid]">$vbphrase[image_larger_version_x_y_z]</phrase>" style="width: expression(this.width > 140 ? 80 : true);" />

</a>

&nbsp;<if condition="$show['br']"><br /><br /></if>

What elements of this do I need to add to my picture album templates in order to get the same functionality in user albums?

I already added
Code:

class="highslide" onclick="return hs.expand(this)"
but that is not enough to get it to work...

MissKalunji 03-30-2008 12:25 AM

i think you would need the pluging to be activated in the album area (cause righ tnow the plugin is only in showthread)

I tried to add the following to the xml file:

Code:

<plugin active="1" executionorder="5">
                        <title>HS IMG Tag Resize - HS 2</title>
                        <hookname>album_album_picturebit</hookname>
                        <phpcode><![CDATA[ // ThaiNgoc MyTu @ GiaiTriViet.De
                        $hs_resize_controlbar = '<!-- / start content table -->';
                        $vbulletin->templatecache['album_picturebit'] = str_replace($hs_resize_controlbar,$hs_resize_controlbar.fetch_template('hs_resize_controlbar'),$vbulletin->templatecache['album_picturebit']);
                        ]]></phpcode>
                </plugin>

But it didn't work.

I am starting to have the sneaking suspicion that I have no clue what I am doing. :D

furst 03-31-2008 02:14 AM

I don't think there's any point to use highslide in the albums. It's good for when there's more than one photo to browse through but the albums aren't arranged that way.

The albums need a simple resize mechanism like the one DeviantArt uses. Hopefully once we're into gold we'll see something like that be released.

macc 04-01-2008 11:03 AM

ten1nch 04-02-2008 04:22 AM

I installed, and everything is working flawlessly in firefox. I can't say the same for ie, though.

My only problem is the text color is yellow, and nearly transparent. How can I change it to a darker color? Thanks.

Oh, and is there any way to make the original image launch in a new window when resize is clicked?

TRABZONLUKAPLAN 04-02-2008 03:34 PM

Its just working with firefox well but it has some slowing problems with other browsers...

yathyo 04-03-2008 10:33 PM

I installed the plugin but it doesnt add the script required in the header :(
