i am having an issue with the input box. i would like ALL text editors to look like the quickreply at the bottom of a thread. when you click on new thread or try to quote someone it takes u to the full editor and stretches out the screen.

does anyone have a solution for that?

BeerLuver 07-08-2008 08:03 PM

Thanks for the code for the new thread button vbreal :).

Yeah I knew how to edit the colors, the images provided were a bit off though. Got it sorted eventually. Still need to get around to altering the color scheme though, but that's no big concern.

And yep, got a Return to Top code already added and it works fine now ;).

kursed 07-10-2008 01:46 PM

I see that modmyifone.com is using a completely revamped version of a skin that looks like this. Can anyone in here, release that on VB.org?

iKuro 07-11-2008 04:42 PM

t325 07-12-2008 11:12 PM

Excellent skin, thanks.

Are there any plans to add other features like post editing/deleting and moderation controls?

Chris 96 WS6 07-18-2008 01:26 PM

New issue with this thread:

Has anyone actually tried to post a reply? I get this error:

"Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error."

Chris 96 WS6 07-18-2008 01:27 PM

There's also a problem with the FORUMDISPLAY template such that when I try to save changes I get a warning about a malformed <if> statement.

i customized my skin so maybe i'll share it when i'm done if i'm allowed

Chris 96 WS6 07-18-2008 02:45 PM

Excellent, thanks for pointing that out.

MissKalunji 07-18-2008 03:02 PM

and the IF error i just took off the previous <if> cause i didn't see what it belonged too

MissKalunji 07-18-2008 11:33 PM

Here's what i came up with so far. I had to settle for grey cause i was lazy with the designing process. I'm not done yet tho

Chadi 07-19-2008 06:31 PM

I'm getting a different output than that of your demo.

I'm seeing default vbulletin icons instead of the ones your demo shows, which some are not even included in your zip file it seems. Please explain.

hello,
can i have the same thing? thanks inadvance

MissKalunji 07-21-2008 04:12 PM

I'll just post it here...so everyone can get it

Here's the style.

You just have to make your own status icons and make your buttons.

I've used those : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=179267 and just shrank them.

and as for the other new thread buttons etc let me know if ya'll need it ;)

filippodei 07-22-2008 12:00 PM

yes. thanks!!! and of course if u can give also the buttons...will be more great! thanks

G-man 07-22-2008 05:18 PM

Call me dumb, but is everyone offering this as an alternative style for members. If so is there a way to automatically detect access from a portable device and switch styles on the fly?

MissKalunji 07-22-2008 06:03 PM

Yeah you can use the mobile detection hack by Dharto and yes they can switch style

SemperFideles 07-23-2008 09:17 PM

Should this theme really be listed as a vBulletin 3.7 style? None of the templates have the security token information in them and have to be added manually.

MissKalunji 07-23-2008 09:34 PM

mine is i've been using it for nearly a week on 3.7.2. Patch Level 1

SemperFideles 07-23-2008 10:47 PM

I shouldn't complain, it is very good work.

I have an iteration of this that I have modified that you can see here: http://www.puritanboard.com/index.php?styleid=27

I have added the security tokens back into the style. I've also put the New Thread button back in the FORUMDISPLAY template, added the Quote back into the postbit template, and added the Reply button back into the SHOWTHREAD template.

It uses the default buttons for display so you can modify that if you want.

I've also changed the Spanish controls into English.

Finally, I've removed the custom image in the header template so the header image may be customized in the Style Options.

EDIT: Style updated to fix postbit issues to allow user to jump to post.
EDIT 2: options template reverted. Resolves security token issue and some other odd edits in the template.

crest 07-24-2008 03:31 AM

Where do I change the font size of the posts?

Fantastic!!! But I've noticed that there are some differences between the version I've downloaded and the one on your forum.

This is your forum and it looks very good

Attachment 84505

and this is mine with the xml downloaded here

Attachment 84506

could you please post here the right style to obtain your forum look?

Thanks in advance...

andreamarucci 07-24-2008 02:58 PM

Ok I've understood tha problem. I'm using the Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template and you're not using it.

In this case can you post the instructions to make the Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template like yours? I'm not too techie but if you tell me where to look at I'll try...

MissKalunji 07-24-2008 03:14 PM

1. did you install the mobile detection or do the edit to add codes to get you forwarded to the proper style when on your iphone?

2. You would have to copy the postbit to put it in postbit_legacy if you are using it. Elferro only did the edit to postbit since he isnt using postbit_legacy

@ filippodei

i've attached the buttons to the previous thread here : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....2&postcount=97

andreamarucci 07-25-2008 09:38 AM

Thanks, I've switched to postbit and now it's ok. Question now is how to disable or hide some mod I've installed (cyb_chatbox and cyb_advanced forum statistics) when someone is browsing the forum through the iphone. Any idea?

MissKalunji 07-25-2008 02:26 PM

in the main plugin of the hack you can try

this : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....3&postcount=37

Just installed this on my site and it looks great! One problem I'm encountering on my iPhone, and this happens when I visit your site as well, the jump to last post button isn't working correctly. It just takes me to the last page, but not down to an anchor for the last post itself. Any idea why this is happening?

In fact, the same thing is happening on Elforro's site with his style. It will jump me to the last page of a thread, but not down to the last post. If I test it on Firefox or IE it will work just fine and go down to the anchor, but on the iPhone it's not jumping down to the anchor like it should.

UPDATE: Ok, I figured out why this was happening. This javascript in headinclude causes iPhones to jump back up to the top of the screen. Commenting that out makes the anchors work correctly.

Code:

<script type="application/x-javascript">

    if (!!navigator.userAgent.match(/.*Mobile.*Safari/))
    {
        addEventListener("load", function()
                {
                setTimeout(hideURLbar, 0);
                }, false);
        }

    function hideURLbar()
    {
        window.scrollTo(0, 1);
    }
</script>

I don't know what happened to the theme in your case. I'm not sure you imported it correctly because it has some postbit tokens that are clearly not in the style.

Are you sure that's the issue? Deleting that code didn't solve the problem for me.

Edit: Figured it out. It's in the postbit template. I added the a name back in and it works now.

ElForro 07-29-2008 12:53 AM

andreamarucci: This template use the legacy version of postbit...

andreamarucci 07-29-2008 06:40 AM

Thanks ElForro, figured out...

Thanks Miss. The sugegstion is

Quote:

Edit the "GARS - Startup" plugin and replace

Code:

require_once(DIR . '/geek/gars/includes/gars_ignition.php');

with

Code:

if (STYLEID != xx){
require_once(DIR . '/geek/gars/includes/gars_ignition.php');
}

where xx = the styleid of the mobile style.
problem is that I don't know where to find the "GARS - Startup" plugin.

Thanks!!

dartho 07-29-2008 07:10 AM

You would need to edit the plugins associated with the products (they will likely have a CYB prefix) you wish to disable in this style and add the if (STYLEID != xx){ line at the start of teh plugin, and a } at the end of the plugin.

andreamarucci 07-29-2008 08:31 AM

Thanks dartho, tried and it works!!! :)

Jenkins 07-30-2008 02:27 AM

why are the xml files set to pull images from the default location for statiusicons? that means you have to overwrite your normal template's icons to make this work? Most skins will put their files in the skin directory and then the xml file will tell the skin where to find the images.. :confused:

just wondering because I uploaded this file and imported the xml and everything was good, then I noticed that my normal style was all jacked up due to having mixed icons from he iphone style.

MissKalunji 07-30-2008 02:32 AM

you can still change the options from the style options

so you mean install them into seperate folder, then point to the folder in the "All Style Options" section of Style manager?

Thanks so much for asking and answering this, msu2k. This was bugging me too, I couldn't figure it out, and came here to try and ask the same question. Since scrolling long pages is a bit of a pain on the iPhone, it was keeping me from embracing/releasing this skin on my forum. Your fix changed that, and I appreciate it. :up:

Thank you for sharing the fixes, SemperFideles, and showing us your forum so we can see how it's supposed to look! I was going through this thread myself and adding in all the edits being mentioned -- at least, the ones I could figure out -- so your post saved me from hairpulling and spending a lot of time.

I do notice that on long threads, that go to a second page, that there's a redundant box at the top, that lists "Page x of x" twice. See it here:
http://img.skitch.com/20080731-xh88p...2t.preview.jpg
http://www.puritanboard.com/f54/coul...problem-34459/
I removed it by commenting out the first instance of this on the showthread template:

PHP Code:

<if condition="$show['pagenav']"><td align="$stylevar[right]">$pagenav</td></if>
