Can someone give a step by step way to add the smilies link back to the user CP? My users really like that hack.... If not, Ill have to uninstall and this hack is really nice.

Reckon you could add a png version at some point? I know people can manually do it themselves (And I have) but it'd be good to let people choose.

Just tried installing it on a fresh install of 3.7 gold and it is not working. :(

Would anyone know how I can add a couple of links below the Blog option, like "Post to Blog" and "Blog Control Panel", and then add icons to these links as well as the project tools links?

Noticed that tree_ltr.gif was missing. So i just copied it over from the main images folder to my style folder where i uploaded the images too.

I'm attaching a screencap of what I am seeing. I don't know what I am doing wrong, I've added the images to every possible folder that could make a difference and still nothing. Help!

You need to upload the entire folder "usercp_icons" into the current style images/misc folder.

Don't just upload the contents of the folder. ;)

ok, i can't help with the first one because i don't have it (other than you'll have to transfer any template edits required for the usercp_shell template to the usercp_shell_icons template instead.

for the favorite smiles, take this icon attached, and upload it to the same folder as the rest of your cp icons (images/misc/usercp_icons/)

in your usercp_shell_icons template, find this text

if you have the fine template modification system hack installed, you may use the xml from my edits to do this automagically! :D

and on the question for using this with princeton's hack, no, you can't, but you CAN continue to use the dropdown cp menu with the product disabled as long as you keep the template edits that call the script for the dropdown in your navbar.

you would need to go into the tms system, and "download/upload template modifications" and revert your manual edits to add this to your tms system instead of manually.

figure out what images you want and upload them to the same directory as the others.

the code structure is going to be the same as what i gave for anything your adding (i.e. if conditonal if appropriate, plus the table markup).

figure out where it goes, but in the case for the blog, you'll be looking in the blog templates, for the blog_usercp_nav_link template. i don't have project tools installed, but assume it has a similar template for usercp links with it. since it's not stock vb, it's not included in the shell icons template.

correction- after looking at this, the blog link is a category header. i would look in the new template provided by this hack to see the difference between category headers and subsequent items, and copy that code. don't have the time now to figure it out, but you should be able to sort it out reasonably easily, now you know where to look.

review your usercp_shell template, and see where those options were added or called. either by the product or your edits installing the product. (don't use it, so i can't say.) you'll have to recreate those options in your usercp_shell_icons template, the one installed by this mod, most likely.
