The problem with the engish is you need to import the english lang .xml file that comes with the main MGC chat..

This hack shouldnt have anything to do with the announcements box..

One problem I see with your site is,,,theres no www in your links..
When I view your site from the link in your sig,,,it starts off with the www and then changes to links without...
Look in your admincp >> vBulletin Options >> Site Name / URL / Contact Details
and see if theres www in your links...

the language is fine and the import of the lang xml was great to

i just noticed as a reg member it doesnt show the .......entrez votrez chat, only as admin, having said that it works fine and the www doesnt make any difference in anything in relation the paths or site............strange

ps the url details show www !

I found out ,,that on anther site the chatbox wouldnt work inless it had the www in the link...

You can edit entrez votrez chat by going into your
admincp >> MGC Chatbox Evo >> Chats formatting:
Scroll to the bottom: Message to display in the input field on page load

And is set on usergroup permissions too..
In your usergroup permissions find:MGC Chatbox Evo : Custom permissions
Show prompt message for this usergroup set yes to show or no not to show..

i need your help again ... in cmps have problem with evo chat box in three styles - vb-classic blue, cyberblue and problue (evo chatbox destroy blocks- they come outside ... wide problem) now i disable chatbox and cmps page is ok !

evo chatbox works and it is fine but destroy page -blocks!

some solution or help?

Hi everyone, greetings from Greece.

I followed the procedure descibed in Installation instuctions but all the messages in admincp, help tooltips etc are in French.
I uploaded the english language(xml) file from the beginning but the problem is still there.

* Edit : I solved the problem by uploading the English xml found in installation package for the chatbox over the Greek Language. Of course everything that was in Greek messed up, but French messages are now in English.
Then I uploaded again the Greek language xml, and Greek phrases are now ok, leaving English phrases for the MGC Chatbox Evo. Lucky me....

If I type www.copiertalk.com it works in vbadvanced CMPS.

if I type just copiertalk.com it just shows loading.

Has anyone noticed a significant decrease in performance when this is installed compared to the regular MGC Chatbox? My site loads slower with this on.... I'm talking slow as in 4x as long to load. This chatbox must be pulling a lot more queries.

It works well... But in the vbadvanced page I don't see the smilies.. Why???

Well, with 3.7 RC4, every time someone types in the shout box, the message is diplayed with this added on:
securitytoken=e15478a9001eb277aba69f343f9b0d52f **********...

Any ideas or fixes yet for this?

i am getting the constant loading fault on the cmps page, can you go through the steps to get rid/fix this please, i am having trouble following all you are saying.

What version are you useing,,1.4 or 1.5 ?? and witch version of MGC chat are you useing ??

When installing if asked to overwrite,,check yes..

thx for the offer but my co owners and myself are not comfortable with dishing out admin to people, no offence cause i know you want to help but it is a security thing, i hope you understand.
i uninstalled and removed module then reinstalled but still the same.

when i try to post in shout box i get a url not found but the looking via ftp the file is where it should be.

The site never sent me a confirming email too...

i took it off the cmps page as it wasnt working and the email thing is annoying but if you have a hotmail or similar they quite often go missing!

Not working on my cmps. Using 1.5. Works fine though throughout the rest of my forum.

Its hard to tell not being able to see the back end..

One last thing to try or make sure..

admincp >> MGC Chatbox Evo >> Display and position,,

Make sure the (Display on defined pages of the forum under the navbar)
is set to No..

Make sure the (Display the chatbox on defined pages in a variable)
is set to Yes..

(List of the other forum pages)
put adv_index in the box,,,then click save at the bottom..

I have followed all the instructions too. Its the newest vBA CMPS version.

Is there a way to edit the layout of the box? I want to make it so read only on my vbadvanced and so only the text shows.

I tried editing the templates (adv_portal_mgc_cb_evo_box) but it didn't seem to change anything.

I have a question. When I'm on a 19" screen, my chatbox on the forum spans fine. But when I'm on a 17" or 15" screen, my chat box spanning disappears and scroll bars are needed? I don't want that. I've tried making display resolution changes but nothing works. The chatbox does span properly on my vbcmps page though?????
