If the simple creation of an Index causes you problems then I suggest you have a mysql issue. I cannot help that.

petersweb 06-17-2008 12:00 PM

Thanks Paul - just installed without issue.

Quick question...what code could I add to the "Top_posters_bit" template to show the Username HTML Markup?

GraNdMaStEr-B 06-25-2008 02:46 PM

I installed this, but can not located it on my forums! What do I need to do. I did upload the XML file, but like i said no luck locating it on the main forum or even the navbar and cmbs

Paul M 06-25-2008 04:11 PM

Have you set it to create a link on the navbar or quick links ?

GraNdMaStEr-B 06-25-2008 05:12 PM

NO!

Would you mind explaining how i would do this. I am new to this! Thanks a bunch

Paul M 06-26-2008 09:36 AM

Its an option in the mods settings.

ACP > vBulletin Options > Top Posters > Automatic Link Creation

Makc666 07-14-2008 10:20 AM

[S]Paul M, is it OK that these two phrases are the same?

Code:

<phrase name="top_col2" date="1152000000" username="Paul M" version="3.22">Last {1} Days</phrase>
<phrase name="top_col3" date="1152000000" username="Paul M" version="3.22">Last {1} Days</phrase>

[/S]

I see it is OK :)
P.S. Tired of the upgrade, from 3.6.10 to 3.7.2 :D

AmandaB 07-17-2008 04:12 AM

I'm not sure what happened with my install. It only shows a bullet dot and ().

Paul M 07-17-2008 09:53 AM

Try installing it again.

Paul, I've had this installed for a number of months (both this version and the previous versions) and I love it.

I have recently discovered a problem though... my overall post counts are accurate, but on the 1 day, 7 day and 28 day columns, certain members (i.e., me specifically) have overly inflated totals.

For instance it is showing that I have 7300 posts in the last 28 days, when I only have 9500 posts over the entire last 11 months. Other users posts seem to be fine (I'm the only admin).

I am running a couple of tracking mods that post under my id in a private forum, but that forum is set to NOT include in the post totals.

Any idea?

There is no option to exclude forums from the count so how have you done that ?

It's in the Enable / Disable Features (the same area as the settings to allow HTML or BB code in the forum.

That has no effect on this mod. :)

That seems to be the problem... If there are a lot of posts in a forum that doesn't get counted towards a users post count you get wildly different results in the different columns. The results in the "overall" column are correct and do not include the posts but the other time periods do which gives some mighty strange results when a 28 day total can be larger than the overall total post count.

It does affect the mod, just in an unintended way.

There is a bug while uninstalling this plugin....it leaves a blank space in vbulletin options menu. It does not remove the entry...instead after uninstalling a blank space is left.

I found that blank space is due to this plugin as on viewing source, it shows as
HTML Code:

Paul M 09-12-2008 06:59 AM

Installation (or uninstallation) of any product is standard vb functionality, it has nothing to do with the actual mod.

michaelsilvia 10-18-2008 05:58 AM

Installed and works great.

goxy63 11-05-2008 06:31 PM

Hi Paul
Iam bit new to all of this...
So
Regarding to all of your mods...I need to upgrade Vbulletin, before that I should disable or uninstall mods ?

Thanks

Paul M 11-05-2008 07:15 PM

You can upgrade vb without disabling any of my mods - however, some of them require file edits, and or extra files to be uploaded, which you must remember to re-do.

This mod does not require any action.

goxy63 11-14-2008 10:19 PM

I know tha you will say ask their support but .... Ive installed Vbadvanced and on my homepage (under vba) in navbar there is link to your mod, but when I click on it nothing hapends!?(through my forums link is ok)
In 'Navbar Replacements' under mentioned Vba i inputed: forums/misc.php, misc.php, ... but nothing helps, any idea !?
Maybe to reinstall your mod ?

Thanks

Paul M 11-15-2008 07:00 PM

Set the "Link Prefix Path" in the mods options.

goxy63 11-16-2008 02:18 PM

Sorryz for dumb questions

dt_truck11 12-17-2008 10:40 PM

im looking for some help in adding just the overall column to a block of space on a menu on my forum home. could somebody tell me how to go about adding this?

aciurczak 12-18-2008 02:59 PM

On our forum some subforums are set to not have posts count in the overall post count. It looks like the "overall" column in Top Posters takes that into account, but the 1, 7, and 28 day columns do not. Certainly not a dealbreaker by any means, but perhaps a fix could be put in for the next revision.

I was able to work around it by removing some usergroups in the display.

Paul M 12-18-2008 09:55 PM

There will be no "fix", the overall column reads the postcount direct from the user table (same as the standard postbit display).

aciurczak 12-18-2008 11:55 PM

Fine by me, but the queries for the 1, 7, and 28 columns may provide different results (different usersets) than the Overall column, and it's not intuitive why they do that until one looks into it a little further. The naive user may assume that they are all the same query with only a different timescale, but that's not the case.

NLP-er 12-25-2008 03:26 PM

Hi! Great plugin :)

I would like to make some changes and need help. I want to put on my main page only one column of to posters results. How can I do that? And I will appreciate some details. I know that I will need to change my templates - I just don't know how to get data from chosen column and does those data are available on footer template. If not how to change it?

Thanks in advance :)

kNeeLy 05-09-2009 07:55 PM

GuaRRand 10-26-2009 03:04 PM
