You have customised the phrase at some point - you need to revert it.

Erm, I tried to install this on 3.7 Beta 6 and I got a compatibility error stating that my version of vBulletin was 3.7.999 and not 3.7.0, and therefore, it would not work.

Ice794 05-05-2008 05:02 PM

Fantastic. Thanks for porting to latest vB! Clicks *INSTALL* :D

Correct, I do not support this on any beta or RC version.

wii 05-06-2008 12:01 PM

I wonder what the difference is between this and the 3.6 version, since I updated my forum and still run the old 3.6 version of this MOD with no problems.

Paul M 05-06-2008 12:50 PM

This is the main difference ;

v3.7.003 : Updated to remove potential $group variable name clash.

That clash breaks some of the vb3.7 social groups functionality.

wii 05-06-2008 12:57 PM

Ok, so I just run this as an upgrade then or do I uninstall the old one ?

I only use it for forum home, maybe that´s why there are no problems.

Paul M 05-06-2008 04:24 PM

Installing this will automatically remove the old version.

Yes, the social groups problem only occurs if the "run code on all pages" is selected.

If you are not having any issues there is no compelling reason to upgrade.

It works fine using this vBa module. Add it using ACP -> vBa CMPS -> Download / Upload Module.

DiverTree 05-10-2008 04:01 PM

instead of posting thank you in all the individual mods of yours that i upgraded, ill just post one in this thread ...

thanks paul

your work is greatly appreciated.

JakeAppliance 05-12-2008 07:14 AM

Thanks Paul, I've been using your mod for a couple of years now on 3.6 but now I upgraded to 3.7 and its been erasing the members at midnight even though I have it set to rolling 24 hours, it never did that on 3.6.

I uninstalled the old version and installed this new one, and I have it set for rolling 24 hours, as I did with the 3.6 version.

Paul M 05-12-2008 09:22 AM

Nothing has changed as far as that feature is concerned, I can see no reason it would not work, it works fine for me.

butch3r 05-12-2008 08:32 PM

Thanks for mod Paul, here's my translation for russian users

JakeAppliance 05-13-2008 06:28 AM

I know Paul, its been working really good for 2 years, but after midnight everytime now since I upgraded my vbulletin to 3.7 and your mod, it erases all the members that has visited in the last 24 hours and starts over.

So now its 12:28AM here and it says this:
Total members that have visited the forum in the last 24 hours: 37

But it only shows 1 member now:

Jake

Paul M 05-13-2008 06:58 AM

The only way that could happen is if the other 36 have chosen to be invisible, and you dont have permission to see invisible users (as a guest, thats normal).

DDIG 05-13-2008 07:46 AM

Thanks for this great mod

Installed on vBulletin 3.7.0 (gold) and works perfectly. I used it on 3.6.8 and I'm glad to see there is an updated version for 3.7.0

(clicked installed and voted)

JakeAppliance 05-14-2008 06:37 AM

Nope, because I check the members throughout the day, and none are invisible.

I even saw them before midnight as I was a guest from another computer I have, then after midnight all are erased, and it starts over again.

Paul M 05-14-2008 07:07 AM

There is no other possible way I can see for that to happen, it counts them as it builds the display, and its counted 37. There is nothing else I can tell you without admin access to see what is breaking it for you.

you probably thought about this already, but theres a setting in the acp that toggles between a rolling 24 hour period or resetting at midnight. do you have it set right?

Paul M 05-15-2008 05:04 PM

JakeAppliance - I had a look for you today with the admin details you provided - your problem was that you still had a very early 3.5 plugin version of the WVT mod installed - and it was interfering with the current version. I have deleted it for you so you should be ok now. :)

JakeAppliance 05-16-2008 02:11 AM

Thanks Paul, I must of missed taking out the early 3.5 plugin version.

Its working great now.:)

Super Jinni 05-16-2008 09:43 AM

I like the options

installed

thanks Paul

Super Jinni 05-16-2008 11:13 AM

is it possible to make an option for more than 24 hours like 48 and 72 hours?

Paul M 05-16-2008 11:19 AM

Sorry, this will only ever be today or 24 hours. :)

dadoc 05-16-2008 11:43 PM

This is a must have mod for all forums

thanks for the updates

Jason Buchanan 05-18-2008 02:18 AM

Hi Paul it seems you know your stuff around here. I have installed this and it works great! I do have a question though. When you check who is online if someone is reading/replying to a pm it shows to whom. Anyway to change this to just say Private Messaging?

Paul M 05-18-2008 11:01 AM

You need to change one of the usergroup "Who's Online Permissions", not sure which one off the top of my head. Please post this question as a new thread in the general vb discussion forum as its unrelated to this mod. Thanks.

Switch02 05-18-2008 12:00 PM

Updated and work great thanks again. :)

thank you for your detail.

Delete (and re-do ?) any translations using the phrase manager.

pauloo 05-19-2008 08:58 AM

I have uninstall your product et reinstall.

I have any translation for this phrase:
$vbphrase[wvt_visited_today]
Total members that have visited the forum today: {1}

but i see this: Total members that have visited the forum today: %1$s 1

mark|3 05-19-2008 09:45 AM

i've uninstalled the 3.6 version and tried installing this.

But i keep getting this error message

Bitfield Collision: credits_cantearn = prefixrequired

How do i go about this?

thanks
