vB Version: 3.6.8
Looks very nice.
Is it also possible to run it under 3.6.7?

Lea Verou 08-23-2007 06:41 PM

Probably yes. You may have to add the template hooks manually though (there are instructions in the Manual for this).

Freki 08-23-2007 06:43 PM

Oh yes, now I see. Works great!:)

Installed.

Hi,
thx to Michelle for the great Live Support :d

chatzworld 08-24-2007 10:59 AM

hi, I am having problems with the right cods for the actions, by default it had 11,12 in it and it seems to only show closed threads in the list, I want it to show: Closed, Moved, Edited

Thanks

EDIT: Have managed to get this fixed my self :)

Ausaudriel 08-25-2007 11:19 AM

I just gotta say, this is an excellent hack. It's by far one of the most useful I've ever used, you did a wonderful job with it.

eNforce 08-25-2007 03:13 PM

This is indeed a great alternative to Mod Auto-PM and I like it much better, therefore installed!

I have a problem though, $template_hook[usercp_main_pos1] at the top of the template does nothing, but if I put $template_hook[usercp_main_pos6] at the very top it does.

No big problem as it does work this way... is there anything wrong with doing that?

I am not sure I understood correctly.
What have you set for its position in the hack's settings? It chooses the template hook according to that setting.

Very nice hack. however I wait installing until there is a possibility to notify users about hard-deleted posts.
But compliments on this one, very nice!

Lea Verou 09-04-2007 08:04 AM

Thanks, but unless vB changes the moderation log code, its quite impossible to inform users about hard deleted posts.

-------------

Btw guys, this hack has been in the MOTM poll for September, so if you like it, you can go vote for it here :) Thanks in advance. :)

COBRAws 09-10-2007 06:57 AM

Congrats on the MOTM nomination, I gave my 2cents hehe

aiight, sorry to bring this subject back to discussion, but it would be really great if there was a new column called "Discuss Action" or "Contact Moderator" or something like that so if the user has any problems or doubts about the moderation task, with one simple click they could send a PM with the general details at User Modlog table and the option to add some comment as in a textarea form.

How many votes do I need for this wish to become real? lol

Thanks Michelle, really good MOD ;)

Lol good idea in theory, but in reality it would be sooo annoying. I remember when we had moderation auto-pm: So many members responded complaining about the move/lock/edit etc :(

Thanks a lot for the vote! (although I'm losing :(:(:( )

Snatch 09-20-2007 07:26 AM

Is it possible to show the Modlog from another users?
If I delet a Thread from user X I would see this in his log. So i can after x day see what i done with this user.

Masiello 09-30-2007 09:31 PM

Great Hack Michelle, I'm using Moderated Forum, I hope you keep this up for a future vBulletin releases.
Also, please do it possible to inform users about hard deleted posts.
Waiting a new release for the final installation ;)

*INSTALLED*

Ι think that it already does inform users for hard deleted posts, if you provide a deletion reason.
Perhaps somebody else can confirm this.

PS: If you liked this mod, you can vote it for MOTM, although it will not win. The poll closes in a few hours. :)

found a potetnial "flaw"
a reported post which goes automatically in my private reporting section/fora if edited on the title or anywhere else, it shows on this...which is not ideal.

Is there anyway to eliminate this?

Have you enabled the "apply forum permissions" setting?

shipfriends 10-08-2007 08:51 AM

yes I had.
when a post is reported, a post is appearing inside the mods forum (restricted)

When we were changing the title of this post and where the post was placed, this info was shown on the simple user panel.

Same Question from me ....

downloaded -> tested => CLICK INSTALL
Many thanks for this add-on -> i love it!

The only thing i don't like is a little stylingerror.
If there are no mod-actions to show, but the notifcation is shown,
the background is not defined and the text is only in the first col =>
http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/4...yorios8.th.jpg
i fixed this, see the screenshot =>
http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/9...ixedzg4.th.jpg
If anyone else want to to this, search for
Code:

                        <td>$vbphrase[eum_noactions]</td>
and replace it by
Code:

                <if condition="$vboptions[eum_showmod]">
                        <td class="alt1" colspan="5">$vbphrase[eum_noactions]</td>
                <else />
                        <td class="alt1" colspan="4">$vbphrase[eum_noactions]</td>
                </if>

with this little modifikation the text is displayed over the whole row and the background-color is set to "First Alternating Color" (alt1)

kr Chris

Must one change there templates? Has installed tms

Za4a Tuner 02-18-2008 03:58 PM

no, the MOD uses Plug-Ins / templatehooks.
But you have ti use vB3.6.8 ... either the hooks will not be found.

Boothby 02-25-2008 08:49 PM

maxXximum from vBGo reported this SQL-error-message.
Code:

I think that happens when $vbulletin->options['eum_groups'] is empty.

CNBAforo 02-26-2008 10:38 PM

In the case of deleted messages/threads, the reason and the deleted content, could be shown in some way to the user, for him to associate the infraction with the content.

Spinball 04-24-2008 08:17 AM

I know this mod is flagged as unsupported, but I want to report an issue with it which I hope Michelle will look in to.
We have a large forum and are experiencing serious SQL slow downs with this query:
Quote:

# Query_time: 11 Lock_time: 0 Rows_sent: 10 Rows_examined: 23956866
SELECT
modtable.username as moderator,
modtable.usergroupid as modgroup,
modlog.userid as modid,
modlog.action as action,
modlog.type as type,
modlog.dateline as dateline,
modlog.threadid as threadid,
modlog.postid as postid,
forum.forumid as forumid,
thread.title as threadtitle,
forum.title as forumtitle,
deletionlog.reason as delreason
FROM moderatorlog AS modlog
LEFT JOIN user AS modtable ON (modtable.userid = modlog.userid)
LEFT JOIN thread AS thread ON (thread.threadid = modlog.threadid)
LEFT JOIN post AS post ON (post.postid = modlog.postid)
LEFT JOIN forum AS forum ON (forum.forumid = thread.forumid)
LEFT JOIN deletionlog AS deletionlog ON (deletionlog.primaryid = IF(deletionlog.type = 'post', modlog.postid, modlog.threadid))
WHERE
IF(modlog.postid,post.userid=28735,thread.postuser id=28735) AND modlog.type !=20 AND modtable.userid != 28735 AND modlog.type NOT IN (11,12) AN$
ORDER BY dateline DESC
LIMIT 10;
23 million rows examined!!! This mod is grinding our forum to a halt.
Is there an alternative, more efficient way of doing this? I have had to disable the mod until a fix is found, and I would suggest that anyone with a big forum check their SQL performance when using this.

Lea Verou 04-24-2008 08:50 AM

Unless somebody else thinks of a way to fix this, personally I am unable to think of a most efficient query.
Sorry. :/

Sorry. :/

Thanks for the quick reply. Might splitting it into separate queries not be easier on the database?
[Edit : I have added an index on moderatorlog.userid and have re-enabled to see whether that has any effect. It should do, I'm guessing and hoping.]
[Edit 2: Nope, still having problems - disabling.]

J98680Bxxxxx 04-24-2008 09:48 AM

Installed (also marked) on vB 3.7 CR2, works fine. Thanks Michelle.

Spinball 04-24-2008 10:13 AM

Michelle, does this mod only report on certain types of moderator actions?
I ask because it is, by the looks of it, reporting checked posts from this mod:

It does, but it incorrectly notifies the thread author instead of the post authors.
Its a known bug that I will fix sometime, but I don't know when...

Does this hack work with vB 3.7 GOLD ??
