The thread icons (in latest posts) do not work, they are post_old.gif all the time, they don't change depending on whether the user has read the post or not. :(

Can you make it to be able to collaps?

Edit the switch on the end of the "Alp Load" plugin (on hook global_start) and change the comment in the str_replace on case 2,3 or 4. Then edit your forumhome template and add that comment where you want it to appear. Then go to the hack's options and select the placement to be the one that you edited (eg if you edited the 2nd case then select the second placement.

Atakan KOC, what about my question? It seems that the variable $gthread_newpost keeps outputing "old". Is it designed according to a specific vbulletin thread marking setting?

Alp Load is a plugin, you will find it in plugin manager.
However if you're not familiar with php and/or html, wait till you get a more detailed reply from the author (I don't have the time to elaborate).

Instead of Top Posters or Newest Members, can we assign certain forums like Latest News or Latest Classifieds?

With the Top Posters bit, it currently shows all usergroups, including any banned members that had high post counts, which I really would prefer not to be shown as it advertises the fact that there has been bad behaviour at some point. I'd also like the option to be able to hide admins and moderators, because most of my team tend to post quite a lot and I don't want to shut my members out of that bit.

Therefore, would it be at all possible to make it so that it is optional which usergroups are shown in the Top Posters bit please.

Besides that, great hack, much better than what I had previously been using.

Nice mod, but to make me move from my current one it needs:

New post icon to work (they all show as old)
New post titles to not be in bold
Nicer formatting (like Cyb, with use of black and grey text)
A collapse/expand for those who don't want it
User customisable date format
Registration date for new users
Nicer buttons for latest posts / popular threads

You should replace the expandable button on the right where you have Renew now. And put the Renew on the left instead of Last post.

It seems not :(

Does anyone experience the problem of the ajax auto refresh feature when it hangs, it will display color garbage of the whole frame ?

Look at the screenshot, it just stay like that in place of a normal latest thread frame.

I have to refresh the browser to get it back to normal. It happens in FF
