He is talking about the media.gif. You need to put that in your current style editor folder. The failed message is because youtube doesn't allow you to not use their video player. So just uncheck that setting and you'll be fine. It will be off in the next update. I'm just finishing this MP3 attachment problem. I also added some other youtube sites. UK and IT version.

^ Like nix said, you need to uncheck all the contents under the "Use AnyMedia Player for which video sites?"
To do so .... Admin Control Panel > vBulletin Options > AnyMedia BBCode Options > Scroll all the way down > Use AnyMedia Player for which video sites? > Uncheck everything that you see there ... Also, the media.gif is not showing up because your installing it in the default style only. You need to add it to the other style via Template Edits as well ... |

Updated to 3.0.6
3.0.6 - MP3s work as attachments now. You have to move your attachment system to file system. - Added it.yotube and uk.youtube - Change some of the default settings To have mp3 attachments play you have to move your attachments from the database to the file system for now. This is the better way of doing it anyway. I'll have more time for this tomorrow so I'll add some more sites and work on some bugs that you have. |
GMGU, glad to help out ...
Sounds good nix  ... BTW, all GMGU needed to do was uncheck the items, he gave me admin permissions and i did it, I guess he didnt understand the instructions before ... Atleast with this new release that wont be an issue as its already pre-unchecked ... BTW, any luck with the photobucket vids? |
Thanks for the updates:
Any word on one.revver.com Also the wmv attachment player doesn't seem to be working also. Do the attachments have to be selected for file system too for this? |

Its in the adminCP on the left hand side.
Attachments -> Attachment Storage Type |
OH!https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2007/06/4.gif I had no idea!! Thanks so much, Nix!!
|
Np. You'll have to put the path to them there and chmod the folder to 777.
|
Ok, trying to do this, but this keeps coming up:
vBulletin Message Not sure where to find this directory...I thought it was the 'Attach' file in my FTP, but I changed the permissions, and the storage type still won't change. Any ideas? |
You'll have to add the path yourself. You can make it any folder you want. It will have to be the absolute path also. So like
/home/usr/ or however yours is set up. |
Thank you for your patience...I'm not exactly experienced at this sort of thing.
And I've NO idea where, exactly, to set it up...like off of forum root/ (in my case, community/) or where, and what am I supposed to call it? Like community/attachment directory or what? I'm sorry for my confusion and frustration. |
Your path will look something like this.
/home/deeze/public_html/forums/ If you got into your adminCP and I believe its under the last item you'll see PHPinfo. Select that and you'll find your forum path there. If you need help PM me your forum info and I'll help you out. |
Thanks, Nix! I appreciate it!:)
