Yep the vB advance fix is the one I'm desperate for!

This mod single handedly saved my forum from the damn shoutbox whores. This has at least doubled the posting rate on my forum overnight! All I did was place it under the shoutbox and wham all the whores posted in the forums. I got like 400,000 shouts and 27,000 posts, talk about a terrible ratio, but this will help me out a ton so I will be voting for this for Mod of the Month! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Installed on my 3.6.7 board with customised style and working perfectly on the forum and externally in i-frames on our site. Very nice job. Thank you!

How do you have it working externally and not opening within the frame?

Actually you don't have it working externally. What you do have is this showing up on your website:

It may work after your people fill in the username/password but that would be a pain wouldn't it? Kind of defeats the purpose of having it there.

I need the top10 stats to be displayed on ALL pages on the forum. How can I do this ?

What I find a bit disappointing about this mod is that it displays html codes for some special characters used in the title of topics, such as ( " ) which appears as for example :

شرح حديث "إن الله ....


in addition, in RTL languages, such an error displays the topic title totally messed around, that is : part1, " part2 ....

as we read from RTL, you would start with part2, which is nonesense..

it is not the top10 stats, but the top 10 topics you mean..

I looked to achieve the same objective, and the mod as it is now does not seem to have this option....... which is rather disappointing......

many of my users have to go back to the home page of the forums, only to see the top 10 moving line....

look inside the xml file and try to insert a div before the table of the moving top titles....

and re-import enabling overwriting.....

the choice of gore language set aside, you are right about the usability of this mod.

to be honest, I am *very* surprised why the vbulletin team did not include it version after version to the core of the vb script....

Hello! Nice mod!

But it does not support CMPS VBAdvanced. I have it in the header and when I click on one thread then that is pointing to a non existing page, 404 error.

What can I do to make it work form main site too? Also http://www.mysite.net.

To make it available in vbAdvanced, do following:

1. Go to the AdminCP > vBa CMPS > Edit Pages
2. Select the page you want to put this hack on and click on Edit.
3. In the Portal Output Global Variables, add the 2 lines at the end of this box:

Thanks for the ansver, but I have it in the header and that is working in both VBA and forum.

But in VBA the pointing is wrong. I can see it scrolling in the header, it is working, but pointing to http://www.mysite.net/showthread.php instead of http://www.mysite.net/forum/showthread.php when I click on a thread when they are scrolling.

I done like you said, but the problem is still there...

I followed this tip and placed it manually in the header.

And if quotes are a part of thread name, then there is showing " instead of "

In the template, just find the template nlp_lxt_bit then edit:
Replace all occurrences:
Find: "showthread
Replace with: "$vboptions[bburl]/showthread

Find: "member
Replace with: "$vboptions[bburl]/member

Note:
- the quote character must be include.
- Replace all occurrences
- Save and Test again

Have installed it on my English forum and working fine ..till now. I will install it on one of my Arabic forums later on.

Well I fooled with it for over an 3 hours and can't get it to work on vBa CMPS in its own module anyway. Anyone?

hey i do have the vba in the forum folder, so its like

forum/portal.php

and have a redirect on the actual page to the portal.

now the problem is that it is still not showing in vba, i did the changes in the global variables, as well as the editing of the template and made the links absolute. why is it not working?

i installed and unistalled it, the private forums last threads are showing, how come???? that's a shame cause it would have been a good mod :(
