Same here.

WaRxHeAd 05-18-2007 09:19 PM

it works, all i need is settings so i can configure it :(

rjmjr69 05-18-2007 09:25 PM

This has been changed to a BETA plug in for now. Until the rest of the bugs are ironed out. Thank you all for the help once this is done and fixed I'm sure its going to be a big hit. Personally I think it should be apart of the next VB release.
If anyone else is having issues please post them here so we can get them worked out

And we are very sorry for those of you who are having issues we know its disheartening but we are working non stop trying to get this fixed and working 100% for you all. With your help it will go much faster. Thank you all again and please be patient

isosdcftp 05-18-2007 09:38 PM

Fixed, and I apologize.
As you can tell I have little experience with the product system. This is my first mod.
I wish I had a test board. Does anyone know if creating a testing forum is against the TOS of vbulletin?

If it is, they're going to be pissed at me.. :D

Alibass 05-18-2007 09:45 PM

It would be nice if beta was put in the download title. The last two days I have download updates and they do not work on 3.6.7 and I half to reinstall 1.0

I am willing to help test this hack as long as I know it's a beta and not a public release with supposedly fixed bugs!

Tulsa 05-18-2007 09:53 PM

<u>1.2.1

</u>I have this working on
1. PC with IE7
2. PC with FF 2.0.0.3
3. Mac with FF 2.0.0.3
4. Mac Opera
5. Mac Camino

Not working on: Mac Safari. Safari is telling me I need to have javascript enabled even though it is enabled. Which is better than last night when it just showed a blank screen.

isosdcftp 05-18-2007 09:56 PM

I apologize. I know that it's been a bumpy road.
Reason I did not set this to beta is because it was working fine on my board, and I had thoroughly tested it before releasing it.
I have learned the hard way just how much vbulletin boards vary. I am fairly certain that this version is stable, since I have uninstalled and reinstalled it on my board 3 times already.

I have a new found respect for vbulletin developers. I cannot begin to fathom just how many varying configurations they have to program for.

Tulsa 05-18-2007 10:03 PM

I wouldn't sweat that beta thing to much myself. It's really rare that you can d/l a mod that isn't going to need a tweak or two here and there. Your giving of your time and energy for free and I'm sure, others like myself appreciate that effort to help enhance our sites features.

isosdcftp 05-18-2007 10:12 PM

Thank you Tulsa. :)
I am looking into the Safari issue right now. Apparently it is not collapsing/expanding the Div like it should.

rjmjr69 05-18-2007 10:46 PM

Now see that wasnt all that bad.... Iso relax bro your doing all this for FREE and we all REALLY appreciate your time and hard work. For those who choose to +++++ they know where they can go..........

I can't remember a hack being released and it worked without issues from the start. With so many different variables Even Jelsoft can't get a release to work right away without issues....

Just keep your head up bro and dont worry about the negative people I'll take care of them

wizardan 05-18-2007 11:09 PM

Are the settings to be found in vBulletin Options, in the admin CP?

isosdcftp 05-18-2007 11:17 PM

yes, look for a 'Web Proxy Redirect' settings group.

rjmjr69 05-19-2007 12:01 AM

Everything is working just wonderfully now. Thank you so much ISO so what do you have up your sleeve for us next?

MThornback 05-19-2007 12:38 AM

What are your settings? In the AdminCP what do you have on each line

Not sure what happened but i do not have any Web Proxy Redirect' settings group. in my vb options.??

This is an excellent hack, I cant wait to benefit from this. Huge thanks for the time & effort that has gone into making & supporting this :)

aztecboi2003 05-19-2007 02:38 AM

I downloaded and installed the one in the zip and it wasn't in my admin cp. I uninstalled it and installed the 1.2 version and it works fine for me.

Mrdby 05-19-2007 04:09 AM

anybody else?

jonty 05-19-2007 10:37 AM

is it possible to just log anonymous hits, rather than actively redirect them?
And log the non-java users?

Great potential

Dont let development get you down - you can't always expect the unexpected!

Neal-UK 05-19-2007 11:56 AM

I've no options showing in the admincp also.

isosdcftp 05-19-2007 04:49 PM

Most (if not all) issues should be fixed in this version.

Thanks jonty :)
It is possible to log proxy users instead of redirecting. I'll add that to the todo list ;)
As for the non-javascript users, unfortunately I can't see anyway to log them, but I can allow them access to the 'contact us' page, or even specified forums. You think that'll work?

EDIT: Can somebody please test this with Safari? Try my site: www.isosdcftp.com
Thanks in advance.

Tulsa 05-19-2007 06:44 PM

Sorry, Safari is a no go on your site. I'm still receiving that same message.

Works FAMOUSLY :D:D Thank you!

wizardan 05-19-2007 07:17 PM

Well, finally, release 1.2.2 allowed me to see a settings panel in vBulletin Options:)

I may need to ask a stupid question here...
When asked to include any domains that my forums are hosted on, and separate them with the 'pipe' character...
What is the pipe character?

edit:
I tried with the letter 'l', but that didn;t seems to work, as I couldn't get back to my forums after and was redirected as if I was using a proxy:p

Tulsa 05-19-2007 07:20 PM

It's the symbol on the same key as the \ symbol.

Here, copy and paste it: |
And it isn't a stupid question, some keyboards don't have that character :)

To answer your question - No.

Jelsoft requires that it not be open to the public, and that it be under a subdirectory of your domain in which the licensed vbulletin installation is on under the folder named "testvb".

A test copy of vB is very useful, and very helpful. :)

isosdcftp 05-19-2007 08:14 PM

Ah, thanks so much for that info. That will come in very handy ;)

V8Owner 05-19-2007 09:57 PM

Version 1.2.2 fixed everything for me. working perfectly now :)

Well Done!!

Mrdby 05-19-2007 11:07 PM

It was working fine on my board. I figured it worked fine on my board, so it'll work fine in others...Bad guess lol

I will revert the javascript code to the earlier version with the new obfuscation technique to fool javascript parsers. I will release it as version 1.2.1 so that people who already have it installed will be notified.

I figured writeln together with html editing techniques would be more compatible than what was used in version 1.0. And to a point that was true, because the proxy redirection technique worked on my windows CE cell phone. But I never figured the javascript variable scope would come into play in different browsers. Sorry for causing such a ruckus :o

If anyone needs any help with this let me know, I will gladly guide them and/or do it for them.

lol..yea no prom just helping out to ease everybody's mind to getting this to work..

@isosdcftp

v1.2.2 working like a treat on 3.6.7 using FF or IE7

Great job and great mod.

Thanks for all your hard work! :)

rjmjr69 05-20-2007 02:03 AM

Ah so happy to see everyones problems are solved. Great work as usual Iso thanks

And for all you THIEVES please at least give the proper credit to the author before you go posting his hard work on your forum as your own.

MThornback 05-20-2007 03:07 AM

I've come across another problem...its nothing major as i'm planning to phase them out anyway.... but either this doesn't play nice with sub-domains, or there is an incomparability with VBadvanced that treats its behaviour like a proxy....it could be both...but i'd imagine it has more to do with VBa somehow.
