Also, if anyone is looking to display the sidebar on every page of their forum instead of just on forumhome, these are the instructions you should follow to do so.

In your FORUMHOME template, find this:

Code:

<table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="content">
  <tr valign="top">
    <td width="217">
                <div class="tcat2">Latest Threads</div>
                <div class="ct">
<script type="text/javascript" src="external.php?type=js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/latestthreads.js"></script></div>
<div class="tcat2">Forum Statistics</div>
        <div class="ct"><strong>$vbphrase[threads]</strong>: $totalthreads<br />
          <strong>$vbphrase[posts]</strong>: $totalposts<br />
          <strong>$vbphrase[members]</strong>: $numbermembers<br />
          <strong>Number of Users Online</strong>: $totalonline<br />
        <phrase 1="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$newuserid" 2="$newusername">$vbphrase[welcome_to_our_newest_member_x]</phrase></div>
        <div class="tcat2">Another Section</div>

    <td width="13"></td>
    <td>

Delete it.

Then, scroll all the way to the bottom and find this:
Code:

<!-- / icons and login code -->
</td>
  </tr>
</table>

Delete it and save the FORUMHOME template.

Then, edit your HEADER template and scroll all the way to the bottom. Add this at the end:

Code:

<table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="content">

ProSkinner.com 04-30-2007 04:40 AM

The skin worked fine in Opera last time I checked. I think you need to reupload the files in Binary format.

Guest210312 04-30-2007 01:13 PM

HOw do you get rid of the sidebar? I dont want one! I want the forum statistics at the bottom

Also how is it possible to stretch the forums (like the default skin)

l SKN l CHRIS 04-30-2007 06:21 PM

he already made a post about removeing the sidebar, just look through the pages and you'll find it

and thanks for the support ill try uploading via Binary Mode

l SKN l CHRIS 04-30-2007 06:29 PM

Uploading in binary didnt work, different errors in opera and firefox, dammit i really like this skin too

seems like soon as a put the images on the server they get all messed up, wtf

EDIT- it was my ftp client acting up, thanks for the help anyways :)

great skin aerohead ftw

VG Pros 04-30-2007 09:04 PM

Well I noticed this in FireFox but its not a problem with IE. When you ad a banner like you said to earlier in these discussion it moves the banner way down in FireFox. Look at my attached photo, it is fine in IE though.

Check it out at VGPros.com .

Also where in the navbar template would I add THIS template mod?
It is the flashing PM notice.

Spank 05-03-2007 10:17 AM

I love this skin, it's very professional looking. I'm having a problem with it though the tables are all out of whack. Any idea how to fix this?

Sorry for keeping everyone waiting; I became ill this week and couldn't ask your support requests. :(

But, I'm back!

In your HEADER template, find this line:

<div style="float: right; margin: 15px 5px 5px 0px;">

Change it to:

<div style="float: right; margin: 0px 5px 5px 0px;">

Also in your HEADER template, find this line:

<if condition="$show['pmwarning']"><phrase 1="$vbphrase[pmpercent_nav_compiled]">$vbphrase[your_pm_box_is_x_full]</phrase></if>

Add this after it:

<if condition="$bbuserinfo['pmunread']">
<a href="private.php?$session[sessionurl]"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/newpm.gif" alt="You have a new PM" border="0"></a>
</if>

The 'weird-looking' forums need to set under a parent forum - it looks like you forgot to do that. ;)

Spank 05-04-2007 10:22 AM

You're a genious!! Thank you!!

How does one add the last post column?

CrashPush 05-04-2007 02:28 PM

First off, great skin and nice job.

Can you optimize this skin to work better with vbadvanced? It works fine but still needs a lot of tweaking to really work correctly.

This is the only thing holding me back from using this skin.

Best,
CrashPush

cobaltcoupe 05-04-2007 06:08 PM

How do I change the buttons to the same as my forums on my homepage which is vbadvanced. I want them to look all classy like they do in the forums page but they are just plain text for now.

Here is my page ... Check it out and let me know what you think the problem is.

It's a simple fix, really. Under your vBadvanced templates, edit "adv_portal."

Find this line:

Code:

$navbar

<table align="center" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="100%">

Add a "content" class to the table. See the bolded part, below.

Code:

$navbar

<table align="center" class="content" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="100%">

Make sure you update your Main CSS with absolute URLs since vBadvanced and your forum are in two separate directories. So instead of aero/misc/nav.gif, it would be http://yourdomain.com/forums/aero/misc/nav.gif

I don't have the exact code, but if you search on vBulletin.org, you'll find a number of hacks that can do this.

You would need to enclose them within only one <div> but leave the .usrbit class intact. Also, make sure to add a <br /> after each line to keep them separated with a line break. These are the exact steps you should take:

In your postbit_legacy template, find this code:

Code:

<if condition="$post['usertitle']"><div class="usrbit">User Title: <strong>$post[usertitle]</strong></div></if>
                        <if condition="$post['rank']"><div class="usrbit">User Rank:<strong>$post[rank]</strong></div></if>
                                <if condition="$post['joindate']"><div class="usrbit">$vbphrase[join_date]: <strong>$post[joindate]</strong></div></if>
                                <if condition="$post['field2']"><div class="usrbit">$vbphrase[location_perm]: <strong>$post[field2]</strong></div></if>
                                <if condition="$post['age']"><div class="usrbit">$vbphrase[age]: <strong>$post[age]</strong></div></if>
                                <div class="usrbit">
                                        $vbphrase[posts]: <strong>$post[posts]</strong>
                                </div>
                                <if condition="$show['infraction']"><div class="usrbit">$vbphrase[infractions]: <strong>$post[warnings]/$post[infractions] ($post[ipoints])</strong></div></if>
                                <if condition="$show['reputation']"><div class="usrbit"><if condition="$show['reppower']">$vbphrase[reppower]: <strong><span id="reppower_$post[postid]_$post[userid]">$post[reppower]</span> </if><span id="repdisplay_$post[postid]_$post[userid]">$post[reputationdisplay]</span></strong></div></if>

Replace it with this:
Code:

<div class="usrbit"><if condition="$post['usertitle']">User Title: <strong>$post[usertitle]</strong><br /></if>
                        <if condition="$post['rank']">User Rank:<strong>$post[rank]</strong><br /></if>
                                <if condition="$post['joindate']">$vbphrase[join_date]: <strong>$post[joindate]</strong><br /></if>
                                <if condition="$post['field2']">$vbphrase[location_perm]: <strong>$post[field2]</strong><br /></if>
                                <if condition="$post['age']">$vbphrase[age]: <strong>$post[age]</strong><br /></if>

                                        $vbphrase[posts]: <strong>$post[posts]</strong><br />
                                <if condition="$show['infraction']"><br />$vbphrase[infractions]: <strong>$post[warnings]/$post[infractions] ($post[ipoints])</strong><br /></if>
                                <if condition="$show['reputation']"><if condition="$show['reppower']">$vbphrase[reppower]: <strong><span id="reppower_$post[postid]_$post[userid]">$post[reppower]</span> </if><span id="repdisplay_$post[postid]_$post[userid]">$post[reputationdisplay]</span></strong></if>
        </div>

It's missing a line break between the header and content, right? Edit the CMPS adv_portal template and find this line:

Code:

<table align="center" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" class="page" width="100%">
Change "page" to "content"

The problem is caused by your four columns of smilies, but this can be fixed by making the post box narrower. Under "Stylevars," change your "Message Area Width" to 400px or so.

Aerohead has been updated for vBulletin 3.6.7. This brings it to internal version 1.02. A few images have been added to the /misc folder and some code changes have been made such as the addition of template hooks that accommodate the upcoming vBulletin Blog and Project Tools products.

Ophelia 05-17-2007 02:26 AM

3 things.. running 3.6.7

Nothing is showing up in the latest thread box.

I have two main categories on my test board. MAIN and TEST. I have several sub categories under TEST. This area of the forum is shoved down under the "Another Section" box and spans the full width instead of nested in the right like MAIN is.

Why do you have it set up to pull something from vbmode.com? In Firefox, I have NoScript installed, and it is showing that there is something that is drawing from that site and by default is currently blocking it.

You may want to fix the coding so that it no longer is pulling from vbmode.com. Right now, the installed version I have is pulling the mass majority of the images from vbmode instead of my server. I'm sure you don't want that drain on your server.

For some reason, when I upgraded to vBulletin 3.6.7 on my demo forum, it converted all URLS to absolute URLS. Thanks for notifying me about that. I've updated the .zip once more with the correct image paths.

There are three reasons as to why the latest threads script isn't displaying properly.

1) Your forum is offline when it should be online
2) Rhe RSS options have not yet been enabled
3) Your posts are all in private forums.

Check to see if your subcategories are set as child forums under Test. Also, make sure that Test is set to not act like a forum.

<a href="http://www.masonictalk.com" target="_blank">www.masonictalk.com</a>

How do I display the lastest post in each forum section on the forumhome
I cant figure it out

john1744 05-21-2007 06:23 AM

This skins amazing the only problem I have is that when I first installed it my latest threads box was showing threads from a defunct forum of mine I had hidden and forgotten about. I deleted that forum and now nothing appears in the latest thread box.

You can see it at systemwars2.com/forums

I have the header and it worked beautifully right before I deleted the one forum, it's just not wanting to display any threads for me now. I've tried turning on and off the external data providing options...

No clue...
