Hello, I just installed and read through the previous posts and still having a problem.The points system is working for replies,but not on new threads. :( I had changed the name "points" to "loyalties" .I don't know if that has something to do with it or not.

More important:

- X points on VIEWS of authored threads (as in, the person who starts the thread gets points when the thread is viewed; a traffic credit, essentially)

- Display points in user's public profile (I suspect I can add this myself)

Less important:

- Display graphics/medals/stars/badges of some kind to indicate levels of point accumulation

- Allow use of decimals in awards/multipliers such as 0.02 points etc (one can obviously work around this by inflating their currencies, but decimals make for easier and more precise tweaking of the currency, especially as you add more credit/debit event variables)

Ok, thanks for the echoes ... and for the bug reports... (i like bug reports when they are solid!)

... i'll check the error about the "new thread" that is not given...
... after a load of requests, decimals will be allowed... :)

Extensions of features like the paypal integration are to be developped by external coders, not me... and they will be provided in the section "Addons"... because i will continue to release this script as a basic version... Paypal integration is already possible, the bug is that the Geek Mart have to be purchased on The Geek's website...
(remember the logic: if people buy points via paypal, that brings you profit... if you have profits, you are able to pay for a well coded software...)

In the next hours i will add some hooks to the system, in a Addon:
Addon #1: Paid Per View - Will pay members when they read threads.
Addon #2: Pay to Post - Will require the members to pay with points when creating/replying/viewing threads.

these addons can be expanded to any kind of feature, like the Calendar, Glossary, etc... these addons are a bit more complicated because they require to edit some permission per forum, and maybe per usergroups too...

actually, there is some rebuild to be done, because these features are to be seperate (if needed) in more precise sections, that'S why the script continue to be in BETA!!!

good to see it will be tested on a big board, i tested the import "vBbux" on a 12000 members, took 4 seconds for the process...

wait 'til the version is gold btw, in a day or two, so you will have less upgrades to do.

today i've rebuilt the decimal detail... it will continue to be a multiplier, not a decimal in dB, for a simple reason... 4 times less transformation of data, so a lot simplier to code addons...

the IMPORT FOR VBBUX will be interupt for the next 24 hours, so there is a new version coming... two i can say... 1 for the ones who already imported, and 1 for the newcombers...

I am a little new to this! I have a version 3.6.5 What do I need to run nexia? Can I install VBux in my version? How do I get started with a good system!! Can someone put me on the path??

about vBbux, you do not have to install it, if you do not have vBbux you have to skip that step... the goal is to replace the vBbux that is out-dated and buggy... that's why it was deleted lately.

if you need a points system, you will be able to install this one without a problem, and use it without having to update anything.. it works with any version above 3.5.0 ...

also, a lot of plugins and extensions will be created in the next days, just after the GOLD version is released .. .the GOLD is actually the core, debugged.. :)

i tested the latest version, the points when creating a thread is now working, and when you reply to a thread, you can have two different points: X points if you are the author, or X points if you are not.. :) (sometimes it is good to not have the same amount of points!)

the vBbux import is ok, it was not updated after all, it's the product itself that was... NPS will update itself to suite any need of decimal and points.. :) with more fun!

for the download you just have to read the first post in this page... but yes, if you are not in a hurry, you can wait an hour or two to have the gold version ..:)

Nexialys, or anyone else, I think this is going to work for me but I'm not sure what else I need. Here is what I will be doing with it.

I am creating a forum for gamers to play tournaments and bet on online games, like Halo. Members will buy x amount of points for x amount of dollars. They can then use those points to enter tournaments and bet with each other. If they win the tournament they will get all the points that were used by members to enter the tournament. Then when ever they want they can cash out with their points for real money.

It would be nice if when they bought the points it went straight into their bank or if when they entered a tournament they just clicked a enter button that took their points away but I believe all of this could work if people can just pm points to other members.

I don't know what else I need besides Nexia's Point System. Oh and if anyone is interested in helping with this project and loves video games I am looking for a partner. It will be VGPros.com. Thanks in advance.

actually, if you buy the Geek Mart system, you will have a system that works to buy points with paypal... but i suppose someone may provide a free alternative to go directly into paypal... i'm not playing with that part.

also, for the PM points to each others, the Donation system will work seemlessly with the core, and i'll be providing one version soon...

for the tournaments thing, i don't know how to handle that... but i'm sure you will find a coder that will built something similar to that request in no long... wait 'til the Gold is out.. i'm fixing the release actually, with a baby and 2 runners in the office... so it will have to wait another 1 or 2 hours... lol

Oh, 1 problem, there are three parts under vBuleltin options for the addon, one is called currency management, the other main posting features, but the other is blank, :)
